It's really upsetting when you gave them away high-demand villagers then they use it to trade.
Yes! I know there are no "rules". But I mean I spent another 40 dollars on a game to help make people's "dreams" come true. If you want bells I am definitely not the person to approach to get a high-valued villager. I probably won't be doing this much longer either! So I want to try to help as many people as possible :3

I have a full roster in my giveaway village atm, and will likely start doing the giveaways regularly starting tonight. (I'll try to do them in the afternoons and evenings, when most people are around.)

For the record~ he's not on my dream villagers list because he won't be in my Carnival-themed town. I want Erik for personal reasons (he shares a name with my fiance)

Totally agree. I feel like a lot of people miss out on high-demand villagers they would keep forever like Tangy, Bob, Beau, Stitches, Ankha, and others to people that use them to negotiate future trades.
Has Erik been officially claimed? I know I don't have a Dream List in my signature (yet) but I'm trying to get as many hamsters and Deer that I can ^~^ I also love the lazy personality so but I really don't mind if he goes to someone else, I'm happy for whoever can welcome him into their town

No I understand, I have a copy of the game that I exclusively use to give out (hopefully) dream villagers and I definitely understand the feeling because I also don't question it, but I would be a bit hurt if popular villagers were used as bartering tokens.

Yes, that's definitely upsetting.
If you get them from trades, well, that's how it goes.
But if you're getting them for free, it's upsetting.
Seeing how many people would love them better than being a trade tool. lol

She was in my campsite at one point yesterday when I was trying to TT Tammy and Truffles out but I was full at 10 so I couldn't recruit her

I've seen a few people do that with villagers I gave them >.< For the most part it seems like everyone who takes free villagers from here actually intend to keep who they get so its not too bad. ^w^
