Even though Inplayed New Leaf, I never ever saw the countdown for New Years so this was my first one. My friend group ended up throwing a virtual bash on their island and it was so hype! The countdown was amazing with its changing music and the cinematic viewing was amazing!

i finished the event a bit ago and i honestly loved it. the music was so, so cheerful and i loved how the camera view locked as the countdown came to an end. seeing my villagers in their cute hats while waving the lightsticks around was absolutely precious and an amazing way to end the horrid year that was 2020. definitely one of my favourite events by far!!

I celebrated New Years with my friends on video chat. We were crambling to find a count down clock so I was like wait!!! I'll share my Animal Crossing screen. So I rang in the New Year with my friends and villagers together. It made a socially distant New Year feel a little more warm.
I thought the event was super cute!! It was short but really fun. I LOVED seeing the villagers wave their lightstick to the countdown (tho I'm dumb and didn't press in time with them ahah). Got really cute and nice pictures. 
The food items are also super cute, I actually didnt know the food items were through nook shopping and not in tom nook's shop hehe.

I played as a secondary character after midnight and got the achievement, so my guess is you just have to be playing sometime between midnight and 5 A.M. on January 1 to get the achievement.
This is probably the first event in NH that exceeded my expectations. There isn't a ton to do, but it looks good and you get a good number of new items for New Years.

I honestly thought it was super cute! It made my heart feel so happy and warm. I love the wholesomeness of the event, and it just makes me appreciate the game more tbh.

I loved it so much. The jazzy music, tom nook and isabelle stepping outside, festive hats and how you could get your villagers to change into them just by talking to them an hour before 12 AM, the general hype from our villagers and celebrating after the count down was all so incredibly cute! I couldn't celebrate with family in person so we all did the event together on my island and had so much fun.
Seriously, the villager hype was just so adorable. One of my villagers fell into a pitfall while skipping around and didn't even get angry afterward, just started skipping about again afterwards. So unbothered and cute!!

I really enjoyed it! My bf came over and we took lots of pictures!
I loved it so much. I celebrated it a couple times with friends in different time zones. I got the glow stick pumpin' to the countdown/ villager's rhythm to PERFECTION by the end

I loved it! I couldn't attend it live, but travelled back (tt for the very first time in acnh) when I was in bed at 00.30 to experience the countdown in game as well
It was really nice to celebrate it with my villagers, and a great way to end 2020 and start 2021 in this game!
Ac has been my savior this year, and hopefully it will stay my safe place in 2021 as well, whatever happens

I absolutely loved the event!! It was super cute!! I got to wave my lightstick in time with my villagers as they cheered for the countdown, it was the best! Also how everyone wore little hats was really cute as well. The only thing I could complain about was how we didn’t get every New Years hat, we have to trade with others for them.

I loved it! I have so many pics from it lol. couldn't quite master putting my lightstick in the air in time with the villagers so just kept it going the entire time haha. and I think it's so cute how the villagers had mini hats (I want those instead tbh). and I completely forgot to order the seasonal stuff until yesterday but best believe I'm carrying the sparkling cider around today!

I wanted compare NL New Year Event whit same in NH. I must admit, NH wins... really.
It was splendind, adorable... literally full of life.
Camera focus on the plaza during the event was a briliant idea. Music - some may not like, but I had a feeling like it was some sort of anime-musical.
