Town Name Origins

Dilvil.
Laugh if you may.

I was drawing a bowling alley (this was years ago when I had those addictions to certain things) and I came up with a random name: 'CILVIL'. But then I realized 'DILVIL' sounded better.

I used it as an Animal Crossing town name. Now I realize how bad it sounds.

I read "Dilvil" and then automatically wished I'd thought to call one of my towns Vodevil (as in the Marilyn Manson song). >.<

I want to name it Angkor Wat it was after a real place in Cambodia where I was born

I named mine Neo York. It's a fictional city for my fictional universe I made up when I was younger. Neo is another word for new so basicly it's New York with a stupid twist to it... Intentionally of course.

My towns calles Lalazy, with a musical note at the end. Its named after my second Animal Crossing Wild World game. I couldn't think of a name so i randomly thought of words.

My town's name is Folsense. It is from the game Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, which is the 2nd game in release order and the 5th game in the timeline.

I named my town "Rivendel" because I am a huge Lord of the Ring/Hobbit fan. I was sad that I didn't have room to complete the proper spelling. My town tune is the "Concerning Hobbits" theme, but I like a lot of fandoms so I have Doctor Who and anime things in my town as well.

Futaba is my town name, it is a Pokemon town in Sinnoh, well it is the japanese name, since I would guess lots of people will take the english name of the town, what is Twinleaf.

So Futaba it is!

A few years back I actually constructed a Pokemon RPG site and named it Ulora (you-lore-ah).
This RPG went through 3 different versions. The first was noobish so it was reconstructed as UloraV2.
Unfortunately my "partner in crime" at the time, went all dictator and blocked me out of my own site and shut it down--UloraV2 was a huge success and my assumptions were that she was jealous that she was my co-founder and I was just labeled as the founder.
I then attempted to reconstruct it a third time as UloraV3, but it wasn't successful to I just left the RPG community.

When I started up my ACNL file I wasn't expecting to name my town, and Ulora was the first name that popped into my head.

My town is Jadzia-- it's named after a Star Trek's Chief science officer from Deep Space 9. Her name sounds beautiful to my ears, and plus in the series, she's a well respected officer. If I can find a way to make a Klingon mask, I'd make her my theme town.

My town name is Amestris, a reference to the anime/manga series Fullmetal Alchemist. I marathoned it (for the second time) a week before I got the game. I originally planned to make a perfect theme town, then I decided to just not care and make my town whatever I want it to be, but I ended up choosing to meet in the middle and make some small references to the series in my town but not completely turn it into a theme town.
