Ugh, delivery companies

idk but I have major beef with whoever's fault it is that every international delivery has been taking 3-4 months to get here, I kept getting refunds from people and then would have to send the money back when the stuff randomly showed up fifty years later

Sounds like those fishy amazon shipping people I keep reading about...

I've mostly been ordering from Japan and there I've picked mostly EMS, or Small Air Packet for cheaper/smaller things depending on what I'm ordering, mainly going with EMS if I know it's over $50 and it's fragile stuff so I've been lucky. Only time I've not been lucky was when they held my 3ds XL for some reason in customs and I had to complain, and this figure I ordered in December so that one is understandable.

Ordered a few tie dye shirts from the US recently though and while USPS is notorious for being expensive and slow, do they really need to send it to Poland and Denmark before it even gets here?

Yush happens every so often I think..

Love when they held my 3ds XL extra days.. like yeah right it's a bomb inside that one  I mean you are allowed to ship lithium batteries nowadays as long as you can't take them out of a device (easily).

There was a reddit thread not to long ago where this dude bought some sneakers and FedX came to his house, the worker went to the back of his truck, rummaged around got the box, scanned it as delivered, put it back into his truck and drove off.
It was all recorded on this house security camera and the person who ordered the shoes said the worker stole his yeezy's l;-;

that stuff scares me! I hope he got compensated & the delivery guy got sacked.
I reckon it happens more than we think.

Months ago, I ordered two Vita games from Amazon and they were being delivered by USPS. They ended up straight up losing them, so I had to wait until the estimated time frame for delivery was up to reorder them. I at least got a refund and everything, but it was super annoying because I literally had just gotten my Vita and was really excited to play.

I also just preordered a game for my Vita early July, and it was released a few days ago. I have Amazon Prime now, and so I was guaranteed 2-day delivery for a same day release delivery, but I didn't get it the day of, which really pissed me off because I had been looking forward to it, and if it was going to be late, I would've just bought it in stores?? So I decided to complain about it, along with one of their recent blunders of sending my order from California (where I live) to Kansas, and then back to me, and got a $15 refund so that was at least a nice ending? Basically, Amazon delivery sucks. They'll literally leave the package at your door and take a picture of it for proof, but they won't bother knocking.

This isn't really that bad lol but when I was like 10 I ordered a webkinz I was really excited to get and it came to the door when i was home alone on summer break and I answered and the lady wouldn't give it to me because my mom had to signnnn, she said she'd come back when my mom was home but she didn't :/. But countless other times I've signed for my own mail even when I was like 10-14 etc like it was just this oneeeee time i really wanted my package. Also a lot of time you don't even need to sign??? idek

Yeah it depends on what service you use.. EMS you have to sign unless it go through customs and most couriers have that too.

But yeah usually they should just send it to the post office and have whoever pick it up it was intended for and then you sign and sometimes pay for it there sigh.

And yeah for above reasons I avoid amazon because their service is just real ****.

I absolutely hate them. I live really far back from the road and I've seen multiple delivery companies stop at the end of our driveway, see the length, and drive off with a "unable to complete delivery, please reschedule". Even USPS, good god I never order anything through the postal service anymore because they don't even attempt to put packages in the mailbox. They see the driveway and take the package back to the post office and then I have to go and pick it up. Even if it fits into the mailbox, they refuse.

I live in an apartment building and more often than not, packages end up either in the middleway of the front path, out by the back door, or tossed next to the steps. If I can, I leave a delivery note that asks them to place it inside but it only makes it there occasionally...sigh.

I also had a problem with my neighbors taking some of my packages. Nothing serious, just some paperwork I needed to complete (not time sensitive, so I just had it resent) but it was still pretty annoying.

Wow those neighbours should be sacked.. wtf stealing other people's packages. In a way I'm glad we don't have that kind of neighbour culture here.. Unless you actually know them you only say like "Hi" when you meet them and then you mind your own business...

But yeah I try to use shipping that sends them to the post office/store so I can get them there unless it's things they can actually squeeze through the door.

I've never actually had an issue with any of the stuff I ship (I sell stuff online once in awhile when I'm saving money for games and whatnot), but once when I ordered something from outside the country, the shipping company literally went through the organizers I bought and I swore I was missing something when I opened it.

Oh wow.. they shouldn't do that unless it would be suspicion of things not allowed to bring in :| Don't think I had mine searched like that but yeah that's rude :[

I never had a problem with any Delivery Service as of today. They seem to be quick and fast.

Recently I ordered a 3DS XL Stylus Pack from Amazon, I wonder how it'll go.

Good luck  Hope the seller had good reputation and stuff so they don't make the shipping a bad time...

Yep! I ordered a few CDs and Halloween (the original movie; not the ****ty remake) but they only delivered the CDs. I'm gonna have to inquire about it soon.

Wow.. whatever mail guy there should be sacked :[

But yeah I tend to avoid courier companies or just door deliveries if I can, since those are most keen to steal stuff or just register it as delivered or whatever crap.

YES! I hate the postal service here. Basically they do the same thing but they never stop or knock. My mom works from home so there is someone home all the time, but we almost always have to go to the post office in town to pick-up our packages, they leave the "Sorry we missed you" notes in the mail box, when it's really more like "We didn't even try to deliver it!"

So it's crappy, the only exception is they instead, don't knock and just plainly leave the package on our porch, we even have a note on the door that asks them to knock loudly as we don't have a doorbell, and we know they don't knock because we have dogs, and if someone touches the door they are barking. Really bad business.

There is a smaller delivery service I don't know what it is, but they've come a few times, usually for things from certain companies. I think it's mostly for expedited shipping or something, a tiny little white van comes up and it's stuff that is 1-2 day shipping, not prime though, those always get left at the post office. But it's nice at least that company whatever it is delivers so fast and always knocks and actually puts the package into your hands. So I wish I could just always get them to ship stuff cause it's the only time I actually get my stuff. OR if it's something that needs a signature, like my laptop, then they actually knock... like smh.
