secondary weapons are literally just the bombs you press R on the switch to use them?
there are also specials which you can use once a meter is full (top right)

booyah bomb is the best special along with ultra-stamp, splashdown,

also the idols in this game are UGLY
marie and the other girl are better

haha no spoilers for you unless you look them up
