Unpopular villagers you like?

What the title says. (Ignore the fact I?ve been inactive for years... if only username changes weren?t so expensive :S)
I?ve noticed Anicotti isn?t as popular as other villagers, but I don?t mind her. I think it?s the shade of green that bothers people.
Some of the ?ugly? villagers, like Katt, I like a lot. Tabby too, except she could do without the nose.

Now vice versa- a fairly well-liked villager that you DON?T like. For me, it?s Freckles the duck. Something about her is really off-putting... is it the really spaced out eyes? The freckles themselves? I?ll never know...

I like all the cattle and kangaroos.

I don't see a whole lotta love for them.

unpopular I like-
Tabby. She looks sort of cute but her face is... uhhhhhh.... yeah

Gaston. I don't know if he's necessarily unpopular, but some people don't like his mustache face. I like him a lot though, he's in my town and we are close friends.


popular I don't like-

All the jock villagers. Jock villagers make me uncomfortable. Don't know if that counts but ehhh I'll say it anyway

Rasher is awesome.
He was one of my originals in New Leaf.

I've had him in Wild World too.

I don't know if Canberra and Eunice, but I have them both in my town, and they're totally awesome!

Considering them as lesser-known villagers... Eunice and Kidd? I just think they are pretty cool!
I like all villagers to a degree.

I love seeing someone mention Anicotti. She's my second favorite villager!

Both of my favorites are fairly unpopular, I think. I've loved both Grizzly and Anicotti since the GameCube days. They were both starters in my original town and I considered them my two best friends.

I really like a lot of the underappreciated villagers. Some of my favorite species don't get much love: anteaters, frogs, koalas, mice, and penguins. I think they're all adorable. I also like gorillas, hippos, rhinos, and monkeys.

As far as a popular villager that I don't like, it has to be Marshal. It's not that I'm hating on him because he's popular or anything like that. I first encountered him in my campsite long before I found this forum and knew there even was such a thing as popular villagers. I saw him, said "Nope!" and walked out. It's for personal reasons, though. He shares my dad's name and that's a bad thing. Marshal's scowl reminded me of a bunch of bad childhood memories that I won't go into detail about. Now that I've seen others gush over him, I can see why they think he's cute, but I just wouldn't want a reminder of my childhood trauma walking around my town everyday.

Bella isn't well-liked but she's pretty cool to me. Her design isn't super appealing but I like that she has a dark aesthetic despite being peppy. She's very memorable!
I don't really dislike any villager. I guess Whitney is more "meh" to me than any other popular villager, she doesn't have any quirks or anything, she's just a white wolf (but if you like that then that's cool and understandable).

Unpopular villagers i like: Tex, Timbra, Rowan, Cobb and so much more

Some or most people don't like them but i like them: Hazel, Portia, Klaus, Charlise, Paula, Frita, Rocket and so much more

Elise! I know a lot of people don’t like the monkey villagers but Elise is a cutie. I had both Elise and Shari in my first town and they both really great villagers with cute houses.

I saw your post in my activity feed and for a second I thought I had written this! lol

Exactly how I feel. Elise was one of my starters in New Leaf and I've kept her to this day. It'd break my heart if she moved out. I liked Shari a lot too, at some point I just had to decide because I wanted to see new villagers in my town.

I DEFINITELY do not like a handful of popular villagers, such as Julian, Marshal, and many others. (Bluebear is great though)
But, I do love Cheri, Eloise, and Deirdre.

I like Elise a lot too and Shari is pretty cool as well and is one of my favorite uchi's. I actually have both Elise and Shari's Amiibo cards, so if I wanted to move them into my town, I totally could.

As for popular villagers that I don't like, I have none.

I don't know if these count, but I like Alligator villagers like Sly, Drago and Pironkon (though Piroknkon is not in New Leaf, but I like his design. Hopefully he'll be in New Horizons). I also like Gorilla and Monkey villagers, specifically: Boone, Boyd, Louie, Rocket and Champ, Deli, Flip and Nana. I didn't know Kangaroo villagers were unpopular I always liked them too. Marcy was the first Kangaroo I had in my town after I started giving other villagers besides cat a try, and she became a instant favorite. My favorite kangaroos are mainly Kitt, Marcy, Koharu, Marcie, Carrie and Walt (because he reminds me of an old, cranky coach) and Rooney. I'm not sure what other villagers are considered unpopular.

Dizzy is starting to grow on me. He's not the most creative looking elephant, yet he still manages to be cute with how simple he is. Another unpopular villager I like is Poncho. He exudes chaotic good energy. Don't ask me why I feel that way about him, I just do.

There's a few villagers I've started to like during my brief installation of Pocket Camp that I might get the amiibo card for, like , Drake and Beau.

I didn't really like them before.

Oh my gosh, yes! I had her in my first NL town and she was awesome. The tsundere (I hope I'm using that right) look with her default schoolgirl outfit was real, lol.
