Yes, it would.@Chris , would oragami count as a 3D craft?
Hi! I'm afraid I can't accept this as your 2D craft. Please use either physical paper or a digital software you can export from (eg Procreate on iPad, Photoshop on PC) to design your 2D craft.Submitting the bottom screen for 2d crafts !I know top screen isn’t my own assets, so it's just for presentation

3DS is not a suitable medium for creating your entry. I'm sorry but this doesn't pass our effort requirements rule. This is an arts & crafts event so we have a certain standard we expect in our entries. Please review the other submissions users have submitted so far to understand our expectations.

Hey. I can absolutely make something else if you want me to, but I find this a bit hurtful and kinda like embarrassing to be told this publicly?3DS is not a suitable medium for creating your entry. I have the same concerns. As someone who used Colors! 3D for years as my only way to make digital art in my earlier years, and even made commissions starting on TBT specifically for my Colors art, I find it kind of ridiculous to say that a 3DS doesn't qualify as a proper medium/tool to use for events. Many of the friends I grew up with used their 3DS for creating art via Colors and other applications. Why is the 3DS not a suitable medium for creating entries?
Games like "Color3D" , "Art Academy" and "Flipnote Hatena" exist and I believe people can create pretty cool art with it and in my opinion, is on the same par as making a drawing in MS Paint.
Not saying MS Paint is low level cause you can also make really cool stuff with it but the 3DS is just another way to make art.
i personally thought sleepey's entry seemed like effort enough because 3DS screens are difficult/finnicky to draw on, especially smooth lettering like that
i thought your entry was really cute when i first saw it !! so i was really surprised when it got refused, especially for the medium, because i don't see how it's any different from, say, drawing an entry on your phone with your finger. hard to say if the staff will reconsider, which is why i hesitated to say anything immediately, but for what it's worth, it certainly didn't look low effort to me!I appreciate everyone who said something. I hope everyone had as much fun making their submission as I did making mine!!
I have been doing lettering for over 8 years, and have been practicing it in the 3DS notes application since starting New Leaf again and making lists for my dailies. It means a lot that you could see the attention to detail
This entry was what I could do to showcase my hobby, because I can't currently afford to replace the drawing tablet and pens/stationary I left behind from when I fled Florida a few months prior to the presidential election.
As someone who used to make custom clothes on ACNL, making something look that adorable and precise on the 3DS absolutely takes a lot of effort!3DS is not a suitable medium for creating your entry. Everyone's already echoed what I also wanted to say, anywhere you can paint/draw is a suitable art medium! Sleepey's entry didn't seem haphazardly made, I can tell there was effort and I can vouch it takes effort to draw on these kinda of devices!!3DS is not a suitable medium for creating your entry.
