I'm only vegetarian because I don't like the taste of any type of meat. I tried to be vegan but I'm a picky eater as it is and couldn't get enough nutrients. :(

I'm a meat eater. I have been since I was old enough to eat solid food, my mom always made sure to include some kind of meat with every dinner. I can understand why people would go vegetarian or vegan, but I like meat too much to ever do so.

Yesterday this didn't have any vegan votes which was surprising. Now there is one. I do eat meat, but I try to buy only organic meat.

pescetarian? I do eat non-read meat if served an no other options available but hell no bacon or red beefs ty.

i love meat mmmm.

i tried to go vegetarian but i became very weak and tired and my anemia went through the roof, i was on iron pills and they are NOT fun to be on at all. i also struggled even more to get up to an average weight since my metabolism is wicked fast and i only lost while being a vegetarian. it's not really an option for me. plus burgers are just too delicious.

as a side note though, vegetables are good if you cook them right! unfortunately many people just boil them in solely water which is why they're so bland. try adding salt, or even better, frying them in butter or oil with salt instead!

Also yeah I generally avoid any processed things even if it's fish or chicken.. also why I avoid pig meat it's just plain gross and I fully sympathize with people who don't eat it for whatever reason :3

I agree. Some people also overcook their vegetables. My bf stated he hated cooked carrots so I went over to his place and they had cooked carrots. They were so mushy and overcooked it was no wonder he didn't like them.

It's really not hard to cook vegetables properly. There are so many dishes you can make without meat.

Those saying they became weak must not have had any vegetable protein.

Chick peas, lentils etc.
Certain vegetables contain more protein than meat, and people should give it a try.

Eating anything that had a life and a family.
It makes me ill. I can't help the way I feel, but it breaks my heart.

If you've ever petted a sheep or a pig, you'd understand.
I've known people who have them as pets and honestly, they were more friendly than your average dog.

I'm not judging, I'm just hoping that people will one day see these highly sentient creatures as something to be admired and cared for, and not something to slap onto a plate.

Related, my mom the other day was talking about how down feathers were the warmest thing to make a coat out of and insisted it was okay because "they're bred for that." That is some people's mentality with meat eating and animal products.

I've been vegetarian nearly forever. I've thought about trying to be vegan for like a week or so, but I really like cheese and I can't stand almond milk soooooo oops.
Also being vegetarian is lit because when extreme omnivores and vegans yell at each other, I can relax in the middle because "you're not as bad as the other side." Really tho just let people eat what they want, they may have certain condition that doesn't allow them to add or remove something drastic in their diet.

Yes! Like when they put an RSPCA approved sticker on the meat.

There is no humane way to murder something.
Taking a life no matter HOW it's done is anything but humane. The animals aren't being put to sleep because they're ill and suffering, they're being slaughtered so folks can eat them.

That's all from me. Tis a touchy subject.

not everyone's health situations are the same, you can't lump everyone into one and assume one thing will work for everybody. it's also very rude and ignorant to assume that people can't care for the creatures they eat but it's a huge discussion that i'm not getting into.

i will say though regardless of what your diet is, peta kills way more animals than it saves. if you want to support a cruelty-free organization there are plenty out there but peta is not one of them.

I wasn't being rude or ignorant.
I have a great respect for the life of animals, that does not make me rude or ignorant. It makes me passionate about what I believe in.

I'm not getting into a debate, as debating the worth of a living creature isn' t debatable, in my opinion.

I do my part by not eating meat. I do it for many reasons. I would be physically sick if there was meat on my plate. I would think of how cows literally cry for days when their young are taken from them to be slaughtered. I think about how I would feel if that were my child.

When I was made to eat meat as a child it make me ill, knowing what it was.

Now I'm an adult I don't eat it.
That is my choice.
I won't eat anything that had parents.

If you want to eat it, you do that.
I'm not putting you down.

Also I am not a PETA supporter.
They aren't what they seem.

Now I truly am out of this topic.
I can't help the way I feel. I'm an activist.

Sorry if I have offended you, it's just that I've seen the horrors humans inflict on sentient animals and I can't unsee those things.

I read this a while ago.
It all makes sense now. ^_^

It's Official: Vegetarians Are Smarter. Published December 16, 2006 by PETA. Last Updated October 14, 2013. The BBC just reported on a study by Southampton University scientists which showed that individuals who were vegetarian by the age of 30 recorded an average of five IQ points higher than meat-eaters.

is this just a way for u to flex ur high iq

We do not eat any meat at home, and have also stopped buying cow milk and substituted for dairy-free alternatives. We also very rarely buy eggs. I do eat meat sometimes when we are invited over to dinner somewhere or when we go out to eat though. So I'm a bit of a all of the above ;)
