The past is obdurate
I imagine it's difficult with giveaways to determine how popular a villager is. Especially as it helps some people with completing the 16 villager cycle, I have been after any free villager lately to try and cycle back for Erik.
Somebody I do see a lot of is Bunnie. She is lurked quite a bit lately, I was looking for her but every time she was in a cycle town they had somebody lined up to buy her

I'm agreeing, bunnie has lurkers, but for whatever reason is voided, haven't seen her adopted in a while so I think her place in tier 3 is good

Ahh yeah, tbh I do a little extra searching with some villagers that are given away. Usually the ones doing the 16 cycle will mention it somewhere else (which isn't hard to find), so really I just disregard those and keep the legit/dreamie adoptions into account haha.

Usually while I'm gone for a portion of the day, whether it be work or whatever it doesn't take too long to catch up & note what I've missed haha (thankfully).

I have to agree, when I had Bunnie in my cycling town she was taken fairly quickly!
Yuka also, imo, has been getting more popular. I have 3 total lurkers for her ; v ;

Yuka has been steadily increasing for a while now I think, the koalas are actually doing really well overall.
I can see certain ones becoming just as popular as the deers and cats. It's so crazy how a villager can go from a tier 4/5 like Melba up to a tier 1, people just suddenly start noticing a villager and that's it

I think that's how it is with a lot of tier 5/lower tier villagers, honestly.
They never get any sort of attention, so people just ignore them while the higher tiers get a lot more of the praise.
I hope some people start to notice the lower tier villagers more, as I think a lot of people associate tier 5s with 'the ugly villagers', when that isn't always true just like in Melba's case.
I have hope for the cuties stuck in tier 5 <3

I've had both her and Chrissy in my town and they didn't last long. They were just not my cup of tea. Not that is relevant to the rankings, but just got me thinking about them haha XD

i feel like for me francines a villager id like seeing in my town but that i wouldnt bother trying to adopt. i just dont care that much.
conversations with her are boring (more so than other villagers of her personality for some reason... maybe her clothes bore me or something?)
