As of yesterday, the Villager Trading Plaza board has been around for a whole month. We've had the Beta label on it while monitoring to see how it's been working out. Before we take it off, if you have any feedback or suggestions for how the board could be improved, this thread is the place to do it. I can't make any promises as to what we'll do, but we can promise we'll read everything.

I think we should keep this thread but maybe limit how much your allowed to spend on villagers

Eg.-
Julian- 20-60Mil
Merengue- 30- 50Mil
Stiches 30- 60Mil

Can someone explain exactly what cycling is? I'm not too hip on the villager lingo, haha. I was under the impression it's essentially just giving away a lot of villagers over and over, but if someone could confirm that'd be great.

I see no reason to set arbitrary price ranges. Ultimately, it's a free market. If someone wants to pay 100 million for a villager they really want, that is up to them. Don't see why we should stop them.

Dude he's a mod- don't dis him! And cycling is where some one Timetravels out a villager on a second copy either to get back 1 villager (because they need to go threw the 16 villager cycle) or threw the generosity of their heart- I got my dreamie Tangy for free- usally the villager during cycling is free

FP...

IT'S AN AMAZING SUB FORUM NO CHANGE NEEDED.

I think there should be an actual whole subforum to replace the "looking for" thread.
Why?
Because looking for requests get lost in the thread.
Why does it really matter?
Well for example if I have an unpopular villager in boxes [in my second game], I search the forums for that villager in case I find anyone who would like that villager as a gift. Often it throws me to the looking for thread with that search, but it's impossible to search hundreds of pages to find someone to give "free stuff". So, searchability. That's why.

You can even tell that I don't suggest this for my own benefit or anything since I don't need any more villagers. c: I think it would just be a change for the better. People could make threads and tag them with the villagers they want, and also write what they offer, if they want to offer anything.

Or actually, I have an even better idea now that I think about it. A much better idea. A similar sub forum, with one thread for every single villager. Then those who are looking for that villager can post there and state their interest [like Flyffel is looking for Purrl so he posts in the Purrl thread "I'm looking for her, offering 1 million"]. If they find the villager they are obligated to edit their post to reflect that. Yeah. This is a great idea. All of those threads should be started by mods / qualified people. Regular users can't start threads there.

Also, cycling tags, yeah.

Yeah, it's hard to tell because maybe everyone just does things through PM's, but I very very rarely responses to "looking for" posts that lead to successful exchanges. Seems like everything gets lost in that thread. It's really cluttered.

It looks like something for every villager would be way too many, however if you divided it by species, it might work.
