(From my Nsider article, located here: Here...feel free to reply there as well.

We've seen many pics of what the V.C.'s interface may look like, but none of them are the final product.
So, I've decided to design a V.C. interface, not very artistically, and not from a consumer's point of view, but from Nintendo's point of view.

I will analyze each piece of what I have created to inform you of its benefits to the Virtual Console.

First, I'd like to point out the banner across the top. I'm sure Nintendo will come up wit hsomething nice and fancy, so everyone knows whaere they're at. The REv logo, Nintendo logo, and Wifi Connection Logo should all appear in the banner.

If you look on the right side, right below the banner, there are 2 boxes. One with your name, and one with your collection. If you click on your name, you'd be taken to a menu to verify your payment options, and other stuff like that. Each time you enter the V.C. interface, you'd have to log on (to help protect account information and such), and that's where you'd enter your name and password. Right below that is "Your Collection". Click on that to see all the games you have downloaded ont oyour Rev. You could sort by genre, origianl console, or other ways to help you better organize your games.

Looking down the right side of the screen, you see a place to exit the Vritual Console. This would take you back to the Rev's main menu.

Below that, in the bottom right corner, is a place for sponsors / advertisements. This is actually a really good idea for Nintendo to have on the Virtual Console. By having advertisements / sponsors, the costs of downloadable games would be lower. If a company pays $10,000-$15,000 for a n advertisement in a medium-large market newspaper for one day (which would reach about .75 to 1.5 million people, one time), think how much a company would like to buy sponsorship of the V.C. for a month, as an example. If 1 million people logged online on the DS in 4 months, think how many will be on the Rev in a few months, or a year, or a couple years. There will be millions of gamers who'd see these advertisements every time they went to download a game. This is a great way to advertise a company (in the video game industry or not; we could see soft drink, athletic shoes, etc. companies advertise too) to millions of people in your target market, and possibly the easiest way for Nintendo to keep downloadable games' costs down for the consumers.

In the center of the bottom of the interface are the logos of the 5 consoles you can download games from. By clicking on one of the logos, you'd be taken to a list that you can put in order (by alphabetical order, release date, popularity, cost, etc.) for that console. This is a very easy way to find a game that you're looking for, or browse for one you may have never heard of.

Taking up the left side of the interface is "Today's Top Games". This would be a list of the Top 4 games that have been downloaded in the past 24 hours. It's a godo way to show off some of the best games available, and would sell a lot of them. This list would change very often (since people only buy a game once, so you are always buying somethign new) exposing many games to millions of people.

And finally, in the center of the screen, is the "Feature". This would be a slideshow of gameplay screenshots, info about the game, trailers of the game, and more for the 'featured' game. Each day, Nintendo would select a game they want to show off to everyone, and hopefully sell a bunch of. If the game is only a couple bucks, there's a good chance people might buy something they weren't going to otherwise. This is a great way to popularize some classic sleeper hits, sell even more of the really popualr titles, or give exposure to a game that never received it.

I hope you enjoyed my thouhgts and design of the Rev's Vritual Console.
I'm looking forward to your feedback.

LOL, that wasnt very artistic, but I see what you're going at. But I think it will look different. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah, i wasnt going for best art award...
