It seems AC3DS will implement a lot of water related things like: swimming, islands, the Island, cave, boat, beach area, etc. Some of the things that have not been confirmed that I want are:
- having that island home as Tortimer's retirement home
- the cave as Pascal's main home and a place to find certain fossils
- allowing you to actually use the aquatic items (EX: getting in the Outdoor Bath with your swimsuit)
- having an indoor/outdoor pool (cannot be to big)
- having Kapp'n bring you to the town and upgrading his boat (boat, sail boat, ferry)
- having parties and bonfires on the beach
- create your own holiday with certain festivities
- have the Bell Shire and all holidays in all versions

I think the ''cave'' is going to be the resetti surveillance center and there is going to be boats blocking it that are only out of the way at certain times.

Good ideas, idm if tortimer lives in the island or the town as long as he actually exists in the game. Idk about the cave being pascal's home but i like the fact that you can find fossils there and maybe as the tide changes every hour you can find rarer shells/fossils. Upgrading the boat sounds good.. maybe as the boat upgrades it can travel faster through the ocean and even go to other (smaller) islands apart from the one in the map. A bonfire party sounds awesome and i'm expecting this will happen seeing as the concept map shows a bonfire on the beach.

I think a cool event would be having a swimming race with the other villagers. Sort of like the sport events in the GC version but you can actually participate. (side note: bringing the aerobics/sports events back would also be awesome)

The Bell Shrine was in the original Dōbutsu no Mori for the N64 and took place of the wishing well. This time, I wanted it to be used as something where you leave money (the more money, the more likely) for something (obviously there would be the choice thing) to happen (like good weather or finding a real painting).

^ Or an increase in finding rarer fish/bugs/fossils

Hey, has anyone noticed the tent in the E3 2011 video? Have they confirmed what it was? If not, it may very well be the Summer Campers (now for them to get back the aerobics...)! Also, I could have sworn in one of the trailers that I saw an igloo (perhaps it foresees their return too)!

Agreed. Some people believe that it's your temp house you live in while your house is bring built, but I don't buy that.

Um duh the FOUNTAIN!? And why no pools? They would be a fun addition to the game!

"Um duh the FOUNTAIN!?"
what the hell are you on about
and I see no reason for pools since we can swim in the ocean...

No word on what the tent is for

Either

it could be, since it has the mail box and all, but you're mayor, they're not going to make you live in a tent for however long, and the villagers in houses. considering you have your own office too
