Hi guys! Prize pack came in today (fantastic job on it, I really enjoyed everything, especially the fungi stationary)- here're my ingredients for reference. Not going to do anything until the majority of people get their packs so we all can collaborate. I'm personally partial to a bird themed potion using the feathers, but I'd definitely like to hear what others wanna do!

This is so much fun! I wasn't expecting anything like this at all. I'm going to double down on blue dye for the potion. Blue is my favorite color. 
My other two were moth wings and cinnamon stick, for the curious.
And I included a namecard because I already had one from the fair and... force of habit, I suppose. ^o^;>

I got two thickeners and no dye...is that a mistake?
I would like to suggest for now against picking random colours until we have decided on one together so we don’t get an ugly brown potion lol

I think I am going to go for a black potion, obviously it's difficult to agree on a colour together but I feel like black is the best option. Especially when other people put other colours, it really can mess up the colour.
We could do a crow feather too, or a skull. There are a lot of ingredients that could mix and match with the black, and it seems the best themed neutral option too.
Opinions?
Black will be the best default if other people do put other colours too, its a dark colour so its stronger.
If we did a pink itll be very difficult to get an optimal colour. Unfortunately it seems the lighter colours wouldn't have a good results.
I don't want us to all use our thickeners on the colour too, having a black potion can leave a good discussion for the ingredients we can use.
I would like to also stress that this is not a vote, if we all *voted* for colours we want it will *not* end up anywhere near the colours for the potion. Its not a poll, very important to discuss and compromise.

With the colors that we've seen so far, I don't think it's possible to get a black potion? Someone needs to have black dye for us to get black. There's still plenty of people who haven't gotten their prize pack yet, so we can just wait to see what people have.
@JellyBeans has a black dye, and its in the colour mixer. So we can assume all the dyes are the colours in the colour mixer.

I also had vine, but it reminded me of the greenery attached to the Swamp Potion so I bypassed it in favor of a brand new idea. As for my color, I had white but I love the idea of a black/dark potion so it was this or nothing aha

The first post has now been updated with our first four ingredients!
That was in fact a mistake, but you can keep the two thickeners if you want. Otherwise PM me and I'll get you a random color to replace one of them.

throwing in some black dye and thickener for it, since I think a darker potion is the best way to go! (although perhaps not pure black. the dark blue we seem to have starting is quite nice!)
I'm happy to just see what items other people throw out there (love the sound of crystal) - for a darker potion it's nice to have something like a skull but equally it could be fun to have the contrast of like a lollipop or the dove feather? but either way I'm happy

Hey guys, I haven't actually got my prize pack just yet but I stumbled across this thread looking at someones recent activity tab - oops! So I thought I'd share some thoughts already.
I'm all aboard for a black potion, I think it will look cool and it is definitely the easiest to control getting. We don't have many darker collectibles so it would stand out and complement some other stuff really well! I think alongside adding dyes and thickening whichever dye we decide on, even if that doesn't end up being black in the end, it is still important to add ingredients along the way, since if both of the people with a specific one don't add them in we can't access it anymore. So throwing in ingredients here and there and then deciding a bit later will probably be the best way to go!
Personally out of what we've seen, I think Lollipop, skull and witches hat sound like they would work well. But of course there are still plenty that have not been revealed. It's good to keep our options open and unlike the dye, we just need to make sure the desired ingredient has the most quantity regardless of anything else so this aspect is a lot more of a vote than with the dyes, which I think is a good balance. I assume if ingredients tied the one to be added first would be used?

can someone give me a ELI5 on what items actually do, i am confused?
personally i'm up for a dark blue/blue potion, while i think pure black is pretty cool i think it'd be more interesting to have some kind of colour going on rather than just PURE black, i feel like that's something that could get introduced on its own and this is such a fun concept that it feels like a waste to go PURE black but yeeeeeeeee

i get where you're coming from i just think it's a bit bland considering this is all about customisation, happy to go with the majority tho i guess
