After serious stalking of multiple retailers, I got one from Amazon. I'm not a hundred percent relieved because Amazon has been canceling orders in the UK. If mine gets canceled, I'm not going to try too hard to look for another. This has already soaked up so much of my energy lol. I'll just be getting a grey switch and customizing it.
Yep, I was able to preorder in the US! Aside from the colors, I'm really excited for the increased battery life. I know, with New Horizons, I'm definitely going to need as much as I can get, lol.
Like I have said before. If you want to get heads up exactly when new stock gets available, make an account with nowinstock.net, set up notifications for the animal crossing Nintendo switch, then add your phone number for text alerts.
If you do this, you will get notified the second their is stock available. I did this and was able to score one from Walmart just 5 days ago and I still get notifications for new stock coming in like yesterday they has some at Walmart again for about 30 minutes and then they were gone. So you have to be fast.
My partner got me mine recently from Play-Asia, it was really surprising since all other places I heard that had them were long sold out. You may still be able to find some there, or other re-sellers like them. I have not looked in a while so I have no idea.
Yeah, I preordered mine the day it was released! It is all of my favorite colors so i was worried I would miss out. Guess my paranoia actually worked to my advantage this time.
Does it cost more than the original? I have the 2017 model Switch, and I'm thinking I might buy the revised Switch so I can have improved battery life.
I didn't order it. It's beautiful but I decided I'd rather have a Switch Lite and use the money I saved on amiibo cards.
I have an old 2018 Switch, and wanted another Switch in order to have two islands. So, I ordered a yellow Switch Lite which I received last week. It's lovely! Also I have two cartridge copies of the game on pre-order from Amazon. They are supposed to be delivered on the 20th.
I have about half the amiibo cards, and if Nintendo release new ones with the new animals, I plan to order some of those too.
I am SO ready for this game! Can you believe it will be released in only 18 days? It seems like we have been waiting a lifetime for it.
i had been waiting for it! when i first saw the switch in 2016 or 2017 the first thing i thought of was an animal crossing themed version, i missed out on getting the animal crossing themed 3DS and 2DS and there was no way i was going to miss out again..
i held off on buying a switch the whole time, and i was able to pre-order the new horizons one on the 31st of january! i'm so excited to finally have a switch!
I have a wonderful amazing husband who preordered it for me right after it was announced. I had been telling him how I was going to get a new switch for New Horizons but I wanted to wait until (if) they announced an Animal Crossing themed version. I was actually going to go out to buy a new switch the next day because I had given up hope, then they revealed it!
I could've gotten it because I saw when it went up for pre-order. But I simply don't care for pastel colors very much. Better to let other people who like it buy it.
Preordered the console on January 31st from Bestbuy. Then went back and ordered the green/tan leaf case. Finally, got the guide preordered from amazon. I’m waiting for the console next week to preload the digital copy.
I’m still collecting cards tho! I’m missing about 20 cards from series 1 and 2 but I’m trading on here to finish that up. Last, I’m gonna buy a set of WA cards I found online from Japan, and I’ll be done... unless they release more cards....
Plus, since I already have a switch (which is completely pink after a shell swap), I’m selling it to my friend who doesn’t have one. I already have a second one and can’t really justify, financially, having 3.
