Even though I didn't want one, I did keep track of them in most stores for my area. Most sold out entirely withing 12 hours, beside WalMart which took 20 hours to sell out completely.
I didn't order it. It's beautiful but I decided I'd rather have a Switch Lite and use the money I saved on amiibo cards.
I have an old 2018 Switch, and wanted another Switch in order to have two islands. So, I ordered a yellow Switch Lite which I received last week. It's lovely! Also I have two cartridge copies of the game on pre-order from Amazon. They are supposed to be delivered on the 20th.
I have about half the amiibo cards, and if Nintendo release new ones with the new animals, I plan to order some of those too.
I am SO ready for this game! Can you believe it will be released in only 18 days? It seems like we have been waiting a lifetime for it.
Does it cost more than the original? I have the 2017 model Switch, and I'm thinking I might buy the revised Switch so I can have improved battery life.
I smashed that pre-order button literally the minute I heard about it.
I got a pre-order in on Amazon US as soon as it was available but decided a Switch Lite was much more suited to my needs. I bought my lite last week and cancelled my pre-order. The special edition is very cool but I play the game by myself and would never use it docked.
See, this is something I don't quite fully understand. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Switch Lite, but why wouldn't someone ever want to play the system docked? It's the only way to get full HD. No judgments of course, just curious. I will probably play it more often docked than in handheld mode.
