I went through two 3DS's in my time, I had the Link Between Worlds special design 3DS for while, and it broke :< but then I got the new 3DS, the shiny red version.
The one I own currently is a new 2DS, the orange and white version. I got a cute case for it that looks like a calico cat!!
I’ve been through a few. I got the original blue when it came out, and then got a grey XL later on. I eventually also got a New 3DS (white one with switchable front plates). Think my favourite is probably the XL though, just because it was a lot more comfortable for me to use. That being said, I love the look of the New 3DS.
A special edition Monster Hunter New 3DS! I love it to pieces.
I've had multiple 3DS in my lifetime, though. I played them so much as a kid to the point of breaking aha
used to own a regular black one when they first came out (and honestly, i'm sad i didn't get the blue one bc the black one just looks boring, even after all these years) but i eventually managed to ... potentially pull out a ribbon cable on accident and never got around to fixing it, so i ended up buying a blue 3DS XL which currently is busy collecting dust, more or less.
funfact: the black 3ds was the first and only electronic thing i ever broke to this day.
My first ever ds: the DSi in hot pink
First ever 3ds: the 2ds (white and red colour)
Current 3ds: The new 3ds (white) with achhd faceplates. I also have FE faceplates, luigi faceplates and yoshi faceplates. I also have an achhd new 3dsxl. The smaller N3ds is my favourite, especially given how hard to find they are these days.
Majora's Mask n3ds, and finding one after release for a reasonable price wasn't easy. But with all the different games you can emulate on it it'll always be a timeless system to me.
I got a black 3DS XL and a black OG 3DS. Got the XL first and was pretty happy when the black one came out just in time when I as going to buy since blue and red didn’t do it for me. Got the OG one used as it is a Japanese version so I can play Japanese games as well since the 3DS was region locked.
First one was the classic red 3ds until it broke on accident.
Second was the gray Mario 3ds XL until the hinge broke
My third one was the Red New 3DS XL
The fourth was the same as the third
I still own my original 3DS that I bought in 2011 and has served me well over the years to the point where I never found a need to buy another one. Now after using my switch for the past few years, it's making me want to get a 3DS XL as I never realized how small the original one actually is.
Right now I have the purple 2DS XL, I originally had a red 2Ds but I accidentally broke it and the touchscreen stopped working. I got another red 2DS after that, but then I got a 3DS for Christmas a few years later (and about after a year I accidentally broke that too.) Then for Christmas of 2018, I got my purple 2DS XL which I still use today. Hopefully, I don’t accidentally break it like some of my previous DS.
I got the XL dark blue one in 2012 for New Leaf that I decorated with floral stickers. Its still works well but has a broken hinge on one side that wobbles slightly. More rencently I got the New Galaxy print XL and I love the colors and quality changes made to the system.
I own the limited edition Ocarina of Time 3DS that was released in America, then I found out the 3DS is region locked, so I was kind forced to buy one with Europe region (I got the blue aqua one and one person was selling it cheap, because their child didn't want it) and lastly got the Luigi 3DS XL that was released only in Japan and Europe, because Luigi is one of my all time fav characters!
I have 3 but I only use 2 of them.
Original from December 2011: Broken. The battery went bad and I never replaced it.
New 3DS XL: The circle pad has started drifting but otherwise it still works... painfully.
New 2DS XL: Isn't broken yet and I got it because of the 3DS above lol.
I have my original black 3DS XL from late 2013, it’s doing surprisingly well though the game cartridge will occasionally randomly say the game was ejected even if it isn’t. I’m kind of surprised it still works because it’s been dropped from the top of the stairs at least twice and fallen onto hard tile..
I also have the black New 3DS XL that I got shortly after those came out. It’s still in perfect condition, but it’s sadly been collecting dust for a few years
my sister has the Pikachu 2DS XL, the one of his face and the nose is a little bump. Despite it technically belonging to her, I admittedly use it more than she does for dual shiny hunts.
