Anyone have any thoughts on what a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game could be?

This is a screen shot at the bottom of the virtual game cartridge information page. It mentions Switch 2 Edition games and Switch 2 games both.

> Do you think switch 2 edition games will have a little extra something something and that would be the difference between a switch 1 game and a switch 2 edition game?

I definitely feel like there will be forward compatibility with switch 1 games similarly to how we were able to play DS games on the 3DS. With that in mind, I hope that they consider that with digital copies of games now that they are allowing users to transfer copies of games.

I don't think switch 2 edition games will really have anything special that would make it any different from a switch 1 game. The only real difference (hopefully) should be performance for games that are more demanding of the hardware.

A switch 2 edition game probably is just a category that games compatible with the switch 2 fall under. I assume that games only compatible with the switch 2 will start releasing later down the life cycle of the product. Who knows though, they could just only start releasing games that are compatible with switch 2 hardware to force people into buying the new product.
