Small thing that I’m happy about right now:

My copy of Mario Party just arrived today! . I’m playing it against the computer right now and I’m enjoying it so far . I love that Monty Mole still does the belly drum animation; it’s so cute .

It’s weird that it won’t let me use the pro controller for the motion controll mini games though, since I thought we could in super stars?

I wasn't expecting much out of today, but today was honestly really great. I was productive at work and was able to get out early. Talked with my best friend for hours on end and I appreciate them so much, I can't put it into words. Then I talked with another friend while playing video games for a bit.

The thing that made my day the most, however, was receiving a signed letter from the actor/martial artist who played Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles years ago. When I was around 10-12 years old Raphael as a character was one of my greatest inspirations for getting into martial arts in the first place, and to have received this from him all these years later when I'm still practicing martial arts really made me emotional as I wasn't expecting it.

I stepped outside after this for a bit and noticed more of our neighbors have their Christmas lights up, and it honestly took my breath away and reminded me of simpler times with my mom and other family years ago. Today truly was a special day for me, and I'll cherish it forever. < 3

what I like about "mysterious" and "lost" songs is that you sometimes find hidden gems that you can listen to. I'm glad the internet existed because of things like this.

On the topic of this thread, I'm just happy that I've been continuing working on my second island and making progress in artworks. Also happy that I get to talk to @Dunquixote as always!

☾ I played a little ACNH today and worked on trying to get Rod’s photo! He’s being stubborn with it despite having maxed friendship, but hopefully I can at least get it before hosting hide and seek!!

☾ I got myself the Pokémon TCG Diamond Clan set as my birthday present for myself, and it got here today!! It’s still a little early, but I let myself go ahead and open it anyway since I was feeling up to it ;v; I mainly wanted it for the art of Adaman/the card frame with him and his Leafeon, but it came with a few packs of cards too!
I’ve never opened any packs before (I just buy individual cards secondhand since I’m only in it for the artwork + am only ever after a very specific few), and I got some ones I’m really happy with! The biggest highlights for me were definitely regular art Friends in Hisui (which I wound up using for the frame! full art would’ve been like super ideal but I wasn’t quite that lucky/didn’t want to take my English copy out of its album), Adaman, and Colress’s Experiment! ;v; I also got some cards of Magneton and Wyrdeer which I thought were nice too! I really like the silver border that the Japanese standard art cards have!

☾ Watched some Youtube videos with my family this evening, and we started on GeminiTay’s fourth episode of Wild Life!

It hasn't been a particularly good or bad day for me, but I was feeling kind of emotional about some things. My husband was very comforting and my dog licked away all my tears.

- My mom baked some homemade bread that tasted good. Loved how chewy and moist the dough was.
- Worked on a sketch of a humpback whale.
- Went for a walk and admired the maple leaves outside
- Played AC: Wild World and Lobo moved into my town. Also, I'm glad Kabuki moved out cuz he's kinda ugly.
- Caught up with some anime.

I've been getting back into New Horizon. Since NH gutted a lot of content and features, I've been bringing them back in design.

I already made NL's post office, but I just started working on the police station. I used the basement of the post office building. I still have the attic empty so I'm debating which building I should do next.

The lost and found! I tried my best to recreate what both police stations had in NL. The building in NL is kind of empty and underwhelming, so I took a bit of liberty.

Next I'm going to do the attic whenever I find free time. I'm debating on shampoodle or Nook Homes. Or maybe something else.

I added some decorations to my room, some fake plant vines that I had up at our old place but I never put them up here when we moved. I know some people have strong feelings about fake plants but I like them.
I was also finally able to pick up a seasonal favourite of mine, some cranberry ginger ale! It's been in the shops for a little while but I hadn't been able to grab any until today.

I won the pale wix candy!!! Got new items in ACNH: I downloaded the pocket camp items, online subscription items, time travelled to get the celebratory arches, Celeste gave me the star head recipe. Ate a caramel chocolate cookie.

☾ I re-decorated an area on my island I thought looked kinda awkward/bare while (still) trying to get Rod’s photo! Also have started gifting cute clothes to Sylvana now that I’ve given Shino all the clothes I wanted her to have c:

☾ My parents and I finished watching GeminiTay’s fourth Wild Life episode, and started watching Grian’s!

I was very productive today! I:

• Started cleaning my room
• Cleaned out my old binder and organized my new one
• Got my lines for my show memorized
• Listened to my new band pieces and annotated them
• Memorized my talent show song
• Finished my humanities assignments

I also started Lore by Alexandra Bracken yesterday, and it's pretty good so far!
