What Are You Happy About Today?

today's kinda been awful not gonna lie, but I did spend a few hours cooking which brought me a bit of joy. I have my chicken and noodles slow cooking in the crock pot right now, and I made a batch of homemade creamy mashed potatoes for the first time and it turned out great! and it ended up being a huge batch (I found a recipe in a Thanksgiving-issue of a magazine hehe) so I'm gonna put some leftovers in the freezer and I'll be able to nibble on that for a while tomorrow I'm hoping to make homemade meatballs for the first time, and I have a recipe for maple pumpkin pie that I'd like to try soon (but I need to learn how to make my own pie crust first), I loooooove pumpkin pie

Awesome, cooking/baking is so fun! It's prime weather for soups to. Hope you enjoy it all! I don't know if you've tried it, but adding honey instead of sugar is so good. I found a recipe that substituted it. I had like a ton of jars given to me so I used them up. I found a recipe online for the Mario Odyssey soup from that cooking world and I really want to find the time to make it lol.

• Slept great!
• Got a lot of ingredients for baking for the holiday season. I got a huge 38 oz bag of festive red and green m&ms I’m probably gonna use for cookie bars. I got stuff to make a homemade pumpkin pie, chocolate chip cookies, and strawberry cheesecake. speaking of which I might make some cookies tonight if I feel up to it. Oh and I have an extra can of pumpkin so if I want I can make some chocolate chip pumpkin bread at some point. Maybe for New Year’s Eve.
• I got Amazon Prime again so I’m watching the Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power series
• Mustachio has been having so much fun with her laser pointer toy and it makes me so happy.
• Got my Christmas shopping done
• Enjoying the book Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

Today wasn’t good but there were a few things that made me happy:

I had a good time playing hide and seek today and chatting with everyone; I was so happy that I didn’t dc.

Part of my other order from the neko atsume arrived at the warehouse so I was able to pick the shipping method and finalize the order. Last night I was worried about it so I contacted them since I didn’t see the order when clicking the link in the steps to finalize it. I got the response after I saw it on my page; I’m really annoyed by their response and the fact it came after but as long as it went through, I’ll let that go. No energy to get too upset.

I got to see an adorable picture of Bonk and chatted a little with @Xara (thank you for your patience with me and the lights ).

I chatted a bit with a good friend and am happy she’s safe and doing really good ; I got a message from her a couple months ago about something scary that happened and have been worried about her.

Only a few more days until this banner that I’ve been waiting for in Genshin comes . Looking forward to playing with my friends.

I received some more christmas lights with really kind messages .

I progressed a bit more in Persona 5. I got past the part that always makes me so mad.

My mom gave me this box of my favorite chocolates that she bought recently .

My dad had work today so it was quiet all day aside from this morning when his voice kept waking me up.

Today I'm happy because!

• I went to run errands today with my stepmom. They had Chobani Flips on sale! 10 for $10! So I got 4, for $4. I love Chobani Flips so much ^_^ I also got some oat-milk coffee creamer! I'm so excited to try it :3 They happened to have Pringles on sale also..? So I got the Dill Pickle flavor. They're not like the Lays Pickle Chips. The Pringles aren't as bitter, which was nice! I found them to be quite tasty
• I got a new phone today! My old iPhone 12 updated overnight and screwed up the battery preeetty good... :/ But I did get a good deal on a brand new iPhone 16 Plus in PINK!!!!!!!! My favorite color! I also got a case, screen protector, new charger-- and a new Apple Watch, which they said with the promotion, I'd only have to pay $1 a month for, for 36 months. Cool! My mom said it was part of my Christmas present this year c:
• Speaking of Christmas presents. Y'all know I'm insane for Bucky Barnes from the MCU. I have collected a variety of Bucky related merch for years. Several Funko pops, action figures, fanmade merch, etc. I got a Winter Soldier Loungefly bag for my 20th birthday; almost 4 years ago. It's so hard to find now, but I found A BRAND NEW one on eBay for $85?! Which isn't too bad, since the bag, I'm pretty sure; is no longer in production. I wanted to keep one for wearing, and one for collection purposes. I'm excited to get it c:
• I started working on writing out Christmas Cards for my online friends this year. 5 down, 20+ more or so to go. My left hand cramps so bad, so I can only do 2-3 at a time without a break. But I'm happy to be doing this! Christmas is my favorite holiday!
• My new job has been very mentally easy on me! Physically though.. not so much. I'm not used to standing on my feet for 4+ hours at a time. At least I get breaks! I was really nervous that I wouldn't like my new job. But it's very fun and I LOVE the people I work with! I get paid Friday, so it's time to do some Christmas shopping once I get my first paycheck c:
• I got Sunday in Honkai: Star Rail the other day, along with his Light Cone. Now I just need Jing Yuan Eidolons :3

Today was a fantastic end to the weekend! I finished watching Mashle: Magic and Muscles and am really looking forward to the continuation of that show. I also FINALLY completed my Pokemon Insurgence Soul Link Randomizer Nuzlocke with my friend, and it went swimmingly. That crosses several more things off my enjoyment-time list. The Dallas Stars also defeated the Calgary Flames just now 6-2 to snap their losing streak and stay ahead of the Colorado Avalanche for that ever-so-coveted third playoff spot in the NHL Central Division. Last, but certainly not least, everyone who has sent me lights so far has my utmost appreciation! I really love and appreciate the thought so much. I wanted to write more in my messages back, but just don't have the time currently. But if you sent me some lights, just know you're in my thoughts and you've really helped lift my Christmas spirit.

☾ Got up early to play hide and seek in ACNH this morning, and managed to survive!! I had a lot of fun spectating and chatting in the later session too! Both islands featured were seriously gorgeous omg

☾ I’ve received a lot of Christmas Lights with really sweet messages!! ;v; I always make sure to save them every year since they don’t last forever.

☾ My parents and I watched an episode of Demon Slayer and Haikyu this morning! After the evening hide and seek session we also got to see LDShadowLady’s final Wild Life episode!

☾ I made some good progress on some artwork today! Hoping to complete it before the Season of Giving event starts later this week.

☾ And I played Pocket Camp Complete a little today too! I levelled up enough that I was able to contact Flurry, and I’ve made her my new camp caretaker! I still have Goldie as a permanent camper though because she’s such a sweetie. I’ve also been working on dressing up all the villagers for the holiday season, which is maybe a little hard on my Leaf Tokens lol

A few things have made me happy lately…

• I received some Christmas lights with lovely messages from some of my wonderful friends on here. Even though I’m not very active anymore it’s still so nice to see some familiar faces and know I haven’t been forgotten haha! I also love seeing pictures of @Dunquixote’s kitties !!

• I’m finally feeling a little better. My temperature is still a little up and down and im a little fatigued but otherwise things are looking up.

• I had my interview lesson today. The school I went to was lovely and I’ll hear back later today whether I’ve made it through to the next round or not. I’m feeling good about it but I’m also accepting the possibility that there could always be a better candidate and it’s not a reflection of my teaching. It’s out of my control now!

• I’m off for the rest of today so I’m going to try and get on top of a few things in the house (laundry, dishes) and chill out so that (hopefully) I’m feeling completely better tomorrow

I am getting more comfortable driving again! Which makes me happy because my goal is to be able to solo drive by the end of the year and that looks pretty promising!

I guess I am getting a new television for Christmas, which I am very excited about. I didn't really expect to get a Christmas present since I'm older but also I was starting to accept I'd need to probably fork out some money to get a new TV soon but now I don't have to worry about that. I'm grateful.

☾ I played Pocket Camp Complete a little bit more today!! I got everything from a few more of the featured fortune cookies and read their corresponding stories, which were cute. Also got everything from my first set of islands to send Gulliver to, so I’m working on a new set now!

☾ Watched GeminiTay’s final Wild Life episode with my parents this evening!!

☾ And made some more art progress today! Though I might stay up and try to get a liiiiittle more done tonight

Happy today because I'm working from home again this week, so it should be a chill week. My year-end bonus is also coming up, which means it'll be even EASIER to get Christmas gifts for my friends and family, yay! I also have 30+ tickets saved up for guaranteed Fugue so far in HSR, and I took care of house tasks today. Hope everyone has a great week ahead!

- I've officially, now that I have my unit results back, finished with my undergrad!!! I'm not going to the ceremony but my degree should be coming in the mail next week. I thought I wouldn't be excited at all but I actually kinda am, it's kinda weird that it's done and it's been four years already?? I'm trying to apply for honours atm though so I'm not done with studying, but it's still cool.

- Been chilling and playing games! I started playing hsr which I've been enjoying, and had more time to play other games with my partner and friends!

- It made me so happy to recieve some Christmas light messages I always appreciate them sm, and I saved the messages to my word document I started last year, as they're not permanent

- Today specifically is a chill day, I'm just gonna try to make a little progress on cleaning and rewriting my resume, and play some games!
