First place was already long gone, but second place was still up for grabs. Driving in a
1992 Ferrari F40, I was going up against this
2010 Lexus LFA which is one of the two meta cars for this daily race (the other being the
2007 BMW M3). I don't know how it happened since I usually make last corner screw ups regardless of what racing game I play, but I somehow got a great exit on the last corner while my rival got a poor run.
They probably got my curse oops. I was slowly, but surely overtaking them up to the line!
The gap between us was .034 seconds!
I want to give huge props to Leadfoot for keeping things fair and clean. They could've easily squeezed me up against the wall to get a cheap second place, but I'm glad they didn't. Sometimes, a fair race is more fun than getting a win.
Here's another screenshot of my second place finish. Oh, and did I mention that the Ferrari F40 is one of the many cars that @/xSuperMario64x and I saw at the auto show back in February? To this day, it's still amazing how we actually got to see one in person.
