- Got my Depo-Provera jab on thursday, hopefully it's gonna work good as intended and feels good having something stronger you just need to refill a few times a year
- Got my faux fur hat and a 60s tea dress in the mail yesterday! Been stuck since they had to send with evri/myhermes int'l rather than RM due to the latest cyber incident but glad they are here! They even sent me a 10% off discount code so that was sweet!
Finally "finished" this two case papers I've dreading the entire week...... finished in quotation marks because i still need to make finals edits for the references and confirm some things, but I'm done with like bulk of the paper finally don't need to cram for the deadline tomorrow!
I still need an infograph to design but hopefully it'll be pretty easy, I have help from two of my groupmates who are also good at designing and editing so that's a plus.
I think I'll celebrate tonight by playing Genshin, I need to catch up on the story quest and events! And also a little bit of Splatoon because woo splatfest
My partner and I are having what we call "Music Club" with one of our close friends tonight. This is the third time we have had it and 1 person is always assigned to lead the evening and can talk about anything music that they want. Whether that is a specific artist, song, album, genre, what have you. So far we have each just done a specific artist and given a run down of their entire career (our friend chose Stevie Nicks for the first one, I did Marina last time, and my partner is presenting on Gaga tonight). It should be a lot of fun!
What also has me excited for tonight is my partner is making lasagna (including making the noodles themself), homemade bread, and putting together a nice side salad. It's gonna be bombbbbbb.
- Got to sleep in and had brunch at a nice place today.
- Pippi slept with me on my bed for a bit.
- Getting the rest of my laundry done so I'm all ready for next week!
- Going to play some more Fire Emblem Engage. I'm at a pivotal chapter in the story, so I'm interested to see what happens next.
- @Foreverfox The Dallas Mavericks beat the Sacramento Kings 122-114 yesterday WITHOUT Luka Doncic, thanks to Kyrie Irving and the supporting cast. Now Luka should be BACK tonight. If so it's going to be fun to see how the tag team works against the Kings.
➣ I got approached and licked to death by another person’s emotional support dog last night at work. This was a highlight in a day that wasn’t the best. ➣ I walked over three miles today and it was good exercise. I haven’t walked that much in over a year. I like being surrounded by walkable areas because I don’t currently drive, nor do I have an interest in it. ➣ This might seem lame, but sometimes I feel one dimensional and like I lack a personality of my own. I searched up the top hobbies for men to have and the first list I came across had traveling listed first. It just made me feel good since this is the one thing I’m actually into that nobody else in my life has had a slight interest in. It’s just sad I thought I needed a list to dictate my interests. ➣ I sent another message to my favorite person. She hasn’t been able to log onto Discord for a few days, but she helped me feel better and never treats me like I’m the problem, even if most of the time I am. I had to tell her how appreciative I am of her. I just wish she’d get access back to her Discord since we were mid-conversation and she doesn’t have a phone number, lol. ➣ I did successfully come up with a list of things that I am interested in while emptying my mind of other people. It was way harder than it should’ve been to think of things, but it helped to get a clearer self-image. I just have a difficult time feeling lonely around other groups of people because my interests don’t match theirs so I’d try to mold myself to fit in with them, because god forbid I find people near me that also like Mario Kart and other Mario games. I feel so one dimensional mainly liking sports and travel! ➣ I’m aware I’ve already posted about this but can we appreciate the awesomeness of the Croconaw wall graphic? I am definitely displaying it at my apartment when I get my own.
Daily happies, of which there are many because I'm in a rambly and decent mood:
I woke up somewhat early and was productive while studying today. I'm planning on waking up earlier and being more productive tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes.
We had two pop quizzes in a class last week, and I got a 10/10 and 9/10 and the class averages were like a 6/10. Woohoo! I feel like I'm always falling behind everyone else and it's nice to be reminded that I'm doing okay.
My partner is traveling today, but we still found time to chat here and there. I feel very loved.
I texted some friends that I've been putting off talking to. Even if I can't communicate as often as I want to, I'm proud of myself for reaching out a little bit.
I ate leftovers for breakfast and dinner, and made boba at home for dessert. Woo! Maybe I'll have some strawberry mochi before bed...
I listened to a lot of cool music today. I've posted about it in some of my island journal entries, but I'm really vibing to Songs Before Bed, which is just cool relaxed vibey instrumentals with funky cover art.
I spoke to my mother and father today on the phone today, and they're both doing well.
There's some wild drama and gossip happening at school, and my friends and I got greasy unhealthy lunches and discussed it in detail. Suspicious characters abound! But it was a nice break from studying.
I'm going to go to bed early. Tomorrow's a new day and I'm excited for it.
I'm having loads of fun posting in my island journal and reading others'. And of course, I'm grateful for everyone on TBT, especially y'all in this thread. Have a good one!!
- I got some more reading done last night and the chapter was really good.
- I got to sleep in this morning and feel rested and relaxed.
- I had a fresh salad for lunch.
- I also had some fudge brownie M&Ms.
- I visited my mom. We talked for a while and I was able to fix her tablet and TV.
- Her cat came over to me for pets and attention. I also got to see two of the feral kittens she feeds.
- I received a very kind message from @Mr_Keroppi that made me smile.
- I had a really nice shower this evening.
- I bought our tickets for the local aquarium and got a 25% discount for purchasing online. All ready for Valentine's Day!
- I'm still at the beginning of my week off and I'm feeling really good today.
☾ I got to play a little Minecraft! Mainly more caving, but I got some pretty nice stuff from fishing as well. ☾ Watched Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and Fairy Tail with my family this morning! I'm still really enjoying revisiting both series. ;v; ☾ We also got to see Grian's latest episode of Hermitcraft, which was hilarious. RIP Grian's many, many dolphins. May they get better coding in the future. ☾ I wrote a new entry in my island journal and caught up with my ACNH dailies from the past few days (and took care of a little storage management)! I have so much fun setting up little scenes at Harv's studio; I should really try to do that more often. ^^ ☾ I have been itching to get out one of my coloring books for days now ahaha, so I'm going to chill out with some coloring for a little while before I head off to bed!
♡ I bought myself a one-year NSO membership! I ended up doing trades in AC:NH today, but at least I got a lot of things done! I'm most likely gonna play The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap tomorrow, via the newly-added GBA games on the Switch. Can't wait!
♡ Me and my brother decided to put our money together so we can buy Zelda Tears of the Kingdom when it releases in three months! (It's never too early to start saving. We're both excited for the game!) So far we have $94.45!
♡ I watched Linkus7's Ocarina of Time-Majora's Mask randomizer video with my brother, and it was very entertaining! I can't wait for the next video, especially since he just got the Master Sword.
You should definitely try out Minish Cap! It makes me happy that more people now have an easier chance to play this underrated Zelda game, especially the Oracle games of Seasons and Ages. Seasons was the first Zelda game I ever played in my life, so I have a little bias towards it. Also, there are quite a few good soundtracks that are an absolute bop to listen to. You might be in for a treat if you ever decide to give those Oracle games a go!
This is going to be a lengthy post because there are a lot of things that made me happy today!
This is from yesterday, but I'm 99.9% sure that I met the minimum number of entries that I have to make for my island journal to be eligible for the lost book collectible! I'll likely make one more entry tomorrow just in case one of my posts somehow didn't meet the minimum requirements lol. In fact, there's an idea that's been floating in my idea for a while and I wonder if I'll be able to pull it off.
While it started off cloudy, the weather got pretty sunny with clear skies again!
I bought a few Hotwheels, with one of them that my mother told me to get because of how silly it looks haha. There's one that pleasantly surprised me that I just had to get it!
From left to right, we have the Kool Kombi which is basically a shortened Volkswagen Sambabus, a Ford Escort RS2000, and get this: a Standard Kart from Mario Kart 8! I love this. I got a short sambabus, a real car, and a vehicle from a video game in one go lol.
I saw a lot of doggos while going to places, with one of them being a fluffy samoyed!
I went on a car stroll with my mother and sister.
My mother bought pizza and some beef patties for lunch! We eventually ate a blueberry pie we bought from the grocery store a week ago and it tasted good despite the crust leaving something more to be desired.
Played Gran Turismo 7.
It's been going on since yesterday, but I've been playing some of the old Spongebob flash games that I remember playing back when I was still in elementary school. I got lots of nostalgia and despite showing its age, there was some fun out of it regardless. Of course, they've been preserved on this one site ever since adobe flash was discontinued in 2021, so there are some glitches here and there. It's better than nothing, though! I'll share a few screenshots of some of the games that are my favourites. If you ever played any of these in the distant past, I wanna apologize in advance if you get hit by a truck loaded with nostalgia lol.
This last one is sooooooo old. Very simple, but I remember being entertained by this game when I was very young.
I got some progress done on one of my college assignments. I should be able to finish it tomorrow!
I'm very glad that today made me very happy considering two days ago was really horrible for me. I'll keep my chin up and look ahead for what's to come.
went to a movie viewing today with the local LGBT+ group. it was at a library at the middle school I went to in 6th grade, sure brought back some memories haha. I went hoping I could socialize a bit and kinda pull myself out of this depression. well (at first) I was a fool for thinking that. because not only did I sit alone, but we were watching the movie "Love, Simon" and it just kinda made me feel bad bc I'm ace and I could only dream of having that many irl friends to hang out with (not to mention actually having a boyfriend skdjflskdjflks) and it made me remember that you can't really attach any pride to being aro/ace bc it's a lack of something, this one thing I saw describes it like "you can't really do something and be like "I am able to experience this because I'm ace"" so there's not really any euphoria or pride there, it's just nothingness.
so anyways that's kinda beside the point. once the movie ended I was just kinda standing around bc I didn't know what to do w myself and I was hoping someone would notice me (stupid autistic stuff ofc). eventually one of the board members asked if I was okay and I, being the honest person I am, said I wasn't. so they asked if I wanted to go for a short walk and chat, and I agreed. I was talking to them abt my depression, and how I've tried so many different things with no luck. I brought up how I would sometimes take a medication and it would work for a few months and then just suddenly stop working.
they stopped for a second and asked me, "have you ever been diagnosed with bipolar disorder?"
I said that I hadn't though I strongly suspected I may have it, not only because my mom has it and it runs in our family, but also because I have observed rapid mood shifts in the past. I've just never had a manic episode before. I've had something that resembles mania, like random short bursts of energy where my adrenaline goes up and I'm like almost bouncing off the walls. But never a full-on manic episode.
and they mentioned to me that Bipolar II is characterized by two things I've shown: I take medication and over time my body builds up a sort-of "immunity" to it making it ineffective even if it worked previously, and having deep depressive episodes along with episodes of "hypomania". I didn't even realize that people with Bipolar II dealt with the same thing I did in regards to medication. I've been confused for a while about why my Prozac worked for like 3 months then just suddenly didn't one day.
but anyways, so now I have this knowledge that I may have Bipolar II, and they also gave me the names of a few psychiatrists in town I can talk to about getting medication (since my family doctor is unable to treat bipolar, as of late he's been treating me just for depression alone), as well as some places I could go for individual/group therapy, including the place I mentioned the other day. praying this all works out for me so I can finally be on the road to recovery.
oh and I hatched a tundra nest on FR, there were three and I adopted out two but there was one I really liked so I kept her
also adopted another tundra and she's precious <3333
they're both still hatchlings but this is what they will look like as adults
this is Jasmine, she looks basically just like the father (Raynell) except that she's a lavender color instead of grey
and then this is Sheila, she's been on the AH for a few days now and I initially passed but when I saw she was still there I just had to have her haha. her coat pattern reminds me of a cat :3
I had a bagel with strawberry cream cheese (breakfast), ramen (lunch), pizza (dinner) and ice cream (dessert). I also ate pockies as a snack. I looooove pockies. Then my friend gave me dark chocolate and the vanilla ice cream. My dad gave me an early Valentine's Day present I wasn't expecting to get early. he had told me he got me something (I was surprised at just that) but I didn't know it would be so soon. It was a chocolate covered apple with caramel in between the apple and chocolate layer. It was a really big green apple and so good with the caramel and chocolate, although it was quite rich and I had to put it in the fridge to save for later. I also had soda with every meal today I am kinda addicted to soda especially Coca Cola or Pepsi (you know like the dark sodas) so I need to work on that but it tastes so good lol. I did drink some water today too.
Tomorrow I am going to have barbecue for lunch again. Yum! And probably leftover pizza for dinner. Also yum!
Played new leaf again while on the way to get the SD card. It worked!! And my friend got to play Pokémon sun. Unfortunately whoever had the game previously, forgot to delete her saved data but we managed to create a new save file. (Funnily enough, same thing happened when I got new leaf. The previous owner forgot to delete her town before selling it to the game store. So I wandered around her town before making my own.)
I'm feeling so loved. It's my birthday today and my mum put so much effort into making a cake and got me a wonderful present. Also all of my friends remembered even though I don't have any social media that reminds them.
I'm happy that I finally finished the island journal for the contest! Writing the epilogue is to do since I would like to close the journal in a special way.
I'm also happy that I get to finish the drawing post in Splatoon 3 and posted it in the splatfest!
