Today has been a great day. I finished another really big task
Listened to some bops
I ate good food (bagel, sandwich. Pizza)
Finished my chocolate and caramel apple
Took a nap and that helped my back pain a bit
Made a valentines card by hand for my parent
Sofia was also being a good cute girl. And I feel less stressed than I have been lately and that's always nice :3

Weekend
♡ I played The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap!! It's probably one of my favorite 2D Zelda games, along with Link's Awakening! Minish Cap shares a lot of elements with A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time, which is really cool.

♡ Watched some more South Park! Usually I only have time for one or two episodes, but I decided to watch a few more and I'm on season 11 now!

♡ I watched the first two Ice Age movies with my step-mom and brother! It's one of my childhood movies and it was hilarious (per usual). ^^

♡ Found another System of a Down song I like, B.Y.O.B.!

Today
♡ My best friend gave me a chocolate rose with a tiny teddy bear for Valentine's Day! I also got some Valentine's Roses (on TBT of course) from @/Childe and @/Captain Jigglypuff!

♡ While on the topic of TBT collectibles, @/Mr_Keroppi gifted me an Orange Candy!! Thank you again, friend!

♡ Watched a few more episodes of South Park! The ones in season 11 are hilarious so far, I especially liked "Lice Capades", haha.

♡ I made a drawing for Valentine's Day that I like! ^^ I haven't been doing much drawing recently, so it's nice to have a special occasion to spark an idea.

♡ Watched Poofesure's recent Wii Sports Resort video, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who struggles with the finicky controls in power cruising.

♡ Made a lot of progress in Zelda Minish Cap, I beat the first four dungeons and I'm in the Cloud Tops area! I also did some side-quests (mostly with the kinstones) and got a lot of items!

☾ I was gifted my first Valentine's Rose by @/Childe!! I highkey love this collectible, and I had fun pulling an aesthetic together so I can show it off while it's visible.
☾ Got my dailies done in ACNH, and Celeste was on my island! She finally gave me the recipe for the tree branch wand, which I love.
☾ Unfortunately I think we're all coming down with colds again or something () and so I wound up mostly resting today, but I did get to watch a lot of Youtube with my family! My mom and I started watching CoryxKenshin's Minecraft series from a couple years back and it had us both in tears lol

I had a fantastic day! I don't usually get into Valentine's Day hype. I'm happy to just have a quiet evening at home with my partner. But I was already taking this week off work, so I planned a Valentine's Day date for my husband and I.

First of all, the weather was beautiful. It was sunny and warm out. I only needed a light jacket in the evening.

We went to a local aquarium/safari place that opened up a few years ago. I've been wanting to visit it for a while, but the pandemic and other craziness got in the way. Get ready for lots of animal happies!

- We had a meet and greet with two Savannah cats named Luna and Versace. Their fur was so incredibly soft and they were gorgeous. Luna curled up between my husband's feet. He's so good with cats.

- A Savannah Monitor came over to investigate me and I got to pet him. I spent a fair amount of time with him since they were letting him wander the floor and interact with guests.

- I got to pet two pigs named Monica and Phoebe while they were out on their daily walk. They took several laps and then Phoebe literally ran back to their pen for dinner time.

- I enjoyed the shark and ray tanks the most! I spent the majority of my feeding tokens on them, feeding several rays and a couple of bamboo sharks. I also saw leopard sharks, catsharks, and horn sharks.

- I fed a large variety of fish and got splashed during a feeding frenzy at the koi pond. These are called black pacu and they're relatives of piranha.

- I saw capybara and cavy at the R.O.U.S House! (Rodents of Unusual Size - 10 points if you get the reference)

- Today was Flash's birthday, the resident two-toed sloth! He kept staring at me. You can pay extra for a close encounter and feeding session, which I will definitely be doing at some point.

- I got to witness feeding time for the wallabies! They were adorable and all three had very distinct personalities!

- My husband offered to buy me anything I wanted from the gift shop and I fell in love with this babirusa pig plushie. I named him Crash and he's going on my desk at home.

Afterwards, we had dinner at IHOP. I know it's not the typical Valentine's Day restaurant, but I wanted to avoid crowds and I was craving French Toast. So that's what I got and it was delicious!

️ I'm trying to spend less money on coffee by making cold brew at home, and it's starting to taste kinda... good...? Financial success imminent..!

Had my biochemistry exam today. No comments about how it went, but it's over now!

Had a really rough day. Honestly, I wasn't even sure why I got so upset -- maybe because there are some recurring themes, maybe because I'm under a lot of stress in general. It felt like truly nothing could make me feel better. But my partner called me, talked it out with me even though I was crying (oops), just sat with my while I did homework in silence, then read some of an Agatha Christie novel aloud to me. By the time they went to bed, I was laughing again. We didn't do much this Valentine's Day since we're long distance (though they're coming to visit soon!) aside from buy dinner for each other, but the whole experience was an excellent reminder of how amazing they are. I am so grateful for them and I thank the universe for sending them my way every day!

Surprisingly wholesome ending for a V-Day spent alternately studying biochemistry and crying in the bathroom, lmao.

My partner mentioned today that they liked a particular stuffed animal. Little did they know that I already ordered that exact one for them a week ago. Heheheheh.

Some nice TBT things -- my island journal was nominated for a "staff pick", and Childe gifted me a rose collectible. Thank you again if you're seeing this :'')

Happy today because I had a good valentines day and got to try a new recipe my mom found. It's actually meatloaf made with stove top stuffing, the stuffing you get at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. It was so good and too delicious.

I've honestly been down in spirits at least the past couple days, BUT for the longest time there wasn't a full playlist of all the full My Hero Academia openings. Well I finally found one recently and I hope it stays up, because it's amazing. Listening to it made a wave of emotions wash over me and reminded me of who I really am.

For the past year or so I felt like I made good progress professionally, but that personally I've kind of been lagging behind or in a weird state. From now on I'm going to make efforts to excel in both, and if I'm able to do that, with the kind of support I have I'm sure I'll be able to bloom into something even more amazing.

Today I'm happy because:

- I stayed up late on purpose last night. I rarely ever do that anymore because of work, but since I'm on vacation I decided to take a few hours and enjoy my favorite time. I went to bed around 2:30am and slept very soundly.
- I got to sleep late this morning.
- I had a good massage therapy session. I was a bit sore from leaning over to see and pet all the animals yesterday.
- On a whim I stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home and got my husband and I some Blizzards.
- It was a pretty chill day in general and it's only Wednesday. I still have 5 more days off work!

I'm just glad I can be at home. Today was a pretty good day, but I know if I wasn't at home it would have been a painful awful day because it was on the line teetering for my legs and lower back.
I haven't internally bled this week.
I've also been sleeping pretty good this week.
Eggs are great. Thankful we've been able to get them (have heard stories). They are an important staple for us. (Me)
A friend has been staying with us this week for their birthday, so we may go get penn station tomorrow.

Quite a handful of things made me happy technically yesterday (February 15, 2023).

• I got to look at a different kind of transmission in one of my classes. Prior to today, the class was taking apart a 4-speed transmission, but this time it's a 5-speed!
• I ate some food from Burger's Priest again, particularly a burger (of course lol), and some poutine! I haven't had the latter in months, so it was nice being able to savour the taste again.
• Somewhat staying on topic from the previous point, while I was waiting for my food, I heard Panama by Van Halen (rest in peace btw) playing in the background! Why did I bring this up you ask? Well, believe it or not, this song appeared in Gran Turismo 4 and a part of it was also used in the game's intro (the North American version at least)! I was lowkey vibing with it while also experiencing nostalgia from it since I first played the game when I was very young a couple of years after it came out. Man, I should dig out my PS2 someday to play it again as I haven't touched it since 2020.

It doesn't kick in until about halfway there, but the opera part still gives me the chills. And I wonder if any of you guys can recognize a car lol.

• The weather was nice again as I was coming home.
• I had a good chat with @/xSuperMario64x over on discord talking about a few things. We talked about his OCs, with one of them I didn't know existed until today! We also got to talk about Mario stuff for a bit which is really rad. And he also made a discovery that one of his Miis in Tomodachi Life hates paellas and literally melted lol.
• I got to play F1 22 and completed the race in Canada. I eventually moved on to the UK at Silverstone and completed all the practice sessions, qualifying, and the race too! I had a few battles with Daniel Ricciardo which felt good, though I'll admit that my skill issue in this game shows how much I still got ways to go.
• And it's a late one, but I'm really touched to receive valentine's roses from @/Roxxy, @/xSuperMario64x, and @/Childe. You three are awesome and I appreciate you guys so much.

- Today's been exhausting, so I'm happy that it's over tbh I did manage to get a lot done, I got up super early and booked a doctors appointment, went to university, went to my appointment, and then picked up my prescription. I've been meaning to see the doctor for a while so I'm pleased I finally got it over with.

- Met up with my friend at uni and we hung out for a little bit after class

- Reheated some of my mum's frozen homemade chilli and ate it with some rice

- Tomorrow is Friday!!

- I finally beat the level I was stuck on in Fire Emblem Engage without losing anyone! Just had to be a bit more strategic in my approach, hehe.

- I rolled and claimed someone from my wishlist in my Discord server.

- Work went well again today.

Today I'm happy because:

- I slept very well last night and got to sleep in this morning.
- I played some Tetris and made some progress in Lonesome Village.
- My dog spent some time snuggled up on my lap while I watched TV.
- I had a very productive day. My husband helped me with the bathroom clean-up and now all of our towels and toiletries are back where they belong instead of spread out throughout the kitchen and living room.
- I had a tasty chicken gnocchi soup in a bread bowl for dinner.
- The latest and final season of Aggretsuko dropped on Netflix. I can't wait to start watching it.
- I still have 4 days off work and I'm looking forward to just relaxing tomorrow.

Thanks! Of all the animals there, the silkie chicken surprised me the most.

You know those are the first pics of myself I've ever posted online, but I was wearing a mask 90% of the time or in profile. I just thought some of those pics were too cool not to share. But I appreciate the consideration. It's possible I may remove them at some point.

♡ One of my friends let me borrow their copy of Coraline (by Neil Gaiman)! I only read the first 30 pages, but I'm really liking the book so far!

♡ My parents got some strawberries from the store! I haven't had any in a while and it's one of my favorite fruits, so I'm pretty happy about that.

♡ Watched a few more episodes of South Park, I'm almost done season 11! I also saw the Imaginationland trilogy, which was hilarious and full of cameos. (They even featured Manbearpig and the Woodland Critters from the show itself, who were unironically part of the "evil imagination" side. )

♡ I finished catching up for my art challenge and I made my 5th post about it in my art gallery!
