What Are You Happy About Today?

Yesterday:

☾ We watched Solidarity's latest Empires SMP episode! His villain arc is absolutely hilarious omg
☾ And I also got to play Rune Factory 5 for a little while! Finished playing through my in-game birthday again, so I've switched back over to my other file. ^^

Today:

☾ I got to see an adorable little dog while out on an errand today—it was so sweet and well-behaved too! ;v; My only regret is not asking to pet it, but alas.
☾ Despite it being a really busy day, I squeezed in a little time for some more RF5!
☾ My family and I have started catching up with GoodTimesWithScar again! His Minecraft terraforming will never cease to amaze me.
☾ Spent some time hanging out with my mom afterwards too!
 
This is the past week so far ;w;

♥ Worked with my two FAVORITE co-workers today and had a great day!
♥ I was able to get a coffee today from Dunkin. I love coffee so much ;w;
♥ Got to see my crush over the weekend. He speedran a Kingdom Hearts world for me in less than 30 minutes.. I was happy, to say the least xD
♥ Played a bit of Rune Factory 5 and worked on my relationship bond with Martin!
♥ Been working on my clinginess with my relationships. I've been doing real well ^^
♥ Got to call my little brother (who's in the Navy). I miss him so much but it's so nice to hear from him ;w;
♥ FINALLY GOT SHENHE IN GENSHIN!!! I have her at C1 currently :3​
 
➣ I will see my favorite person tomorrow. Today didn’t go as planned but I’m looking forward to seeing her and working only the morning shift tomorrow. Seeing her and being able to leave work afterwards is always a great day. I also need my hug. <3
➣ On an unrelated note, someone I do not get along with at work is actually being cordial with me. I like that there hasn’t been any drama between us.
➣ I’m very far behind, but I watched a few more episodes of My Hero Academia today. I’m at the beginning of the third season and hoping to catch up soon.
➣ I saw an adorable Basset Hound in the drive-thru today!! His name was Crosby and I gave him a treat! He even licked my hand before the car pulled away.
 
- Didn't go to uni today because of a train strike. Actually found out the strike had been cancelled this morning, but I didn't go anyway (and I'm pretty glad I didn't since I needed to stay home for my package delivery and some other stuff).

- More of my clothes arrived, and very happy they all fit + look great too <3 I got a white pleated mini skirt, black leather knee high boots, and some grey New Balance 574s 🥰 Happy w/ the New Balance in particular because I managed to get some brand new ones on depop for half the RRP.

- The cat we're looking after seems to really like me for some reason. Today she came out while I was in the kitchen and started meowing at me for pets and food lmao. I managed to get her to eat something and emptied her litter tray, so feeling very responsible 😅 She's very timid and has been living in our small cloak room, plus she only really comes out late at night, so it was surprising she chose to come out and see me this afternoon

- The sun came out this afternoon, which always makes me feel better
 
I got my Blue Oyster Mushrooms "planted" today. They had to sit for a couple of weeks after the shifting from shipping. It took forever to get the hay straw prepped. My tote wasn't big enough for 10 gallons, so I had to soak twice in hot water to kill microbes and stuff and hopefully let it cool enough to start packing. Once you open the spawn grain from what I understand you have to use all that is in the bag. Hopefully it was ok setting for a few hours while waiting for more hay to be done.
Excited to see how they do. I'd imagine they will be fine. Nature has it tougher than my little domestic buckets lol.

★ today in group we were asked to create a "dream board" which I've never heard of (though I've seen collages that are basically the same thing) and I briefly forgot what it's called so I called mine a "vibe board", and they're made to set goals or celebrate achievements in all areas of your life. upon hearing abt goals I immediately thought of my youtube channel, so I had to make a "vibe board" encouraging myself to continue growing and making videos for my channel, and this is what I came up with:

I don't quite think it's done, I may want to add/tweak a few things, but I'm honestly pretty happy w this. it perfectly embodies the hilarity and chaos with my channel, and all leads to the goal of growing my subscriber base and perhaps someday getting a play button of my own! 😌

★ speaking of my channel, I gained three new subs today, bringing my current total to 71! just a month and a half ago, on February 13th, I had 51 subs, so I think I'm going at a pretty good pace!

★ I saw a video on youtube where someone recreated the wii shop channel music with DSi shop channel instruments, and someone in the comments asked for the reverse (DSi shop with wii shop instruments), so I've brought it upon myself to deliver such a thing! I have encountered a problem though, there are way more instruments in the DSi shop than wii shop, so I've had to dip into other soundfonts (aka mii channel, photo channel, forecast channel, etc) for the instruments I need, and I almost feel like I'm frankensteining this thing together but I told myself I won't give up and I will deliver on my promise to give the people what they asked for, so pls pray for me lol 🙏

★ along with that, I will probably record either my WSR video or SMB2 The Lost Levels video this evening. and if for whatever reason that can't happen, I will continue to work on Synthfont trying to do the DSi shop music thing, so any way I will get some stuff done for my channel! ✨

★ I just woke up from a nap a bit ago and I feel a little refreshed 😄

★ I got to go to wendys today and get a chicken BLT, I'm usually not a fan of bacon but it somehow makes that sandwich really good hehe 🥓

★ this last week I've seen like a flip in my mood. I'm not sure exactly what struck a chord in me w my therapist lat week, but ever since then I've had a decent boost in my self esteem and confidence! plus being in this program in general has given me some great tips on how to handle and regulate my emotions and mood disorders (the latter to the best of my ability ofc) so I'm very grateful for that :blush:

oh and I got an interview for gamestop two days ago and it went really well so I miiiiiight just be working there soon lksdflskdlfs
 
➣ I was asked about an incident yesterday and I didn’t disclose much information, if any. However, I told my favorite person everything and, well, it reminded me just how willing I am to tell her everything.
➣ I went to Starbucks after work and purchased my favorite drink with a gift card.
➣ I’m still happy about getting that MagSafe portable charger, although it took me longer than I care to admit to figure it out. The magnetic wall charger was a much easier code to crack.
➣ My favorite person’s roommates enjoyed playing Mario Kart with me and they sent me friend requests. Hopefully we will all play again soon!
 
Small happy feeling but I've been in an OC/'draw for fun' mood again. It feels so good to doodle my own kids again after ignoring them fora couple months. 🥰

I also have been in an AC mood too. I lent my copy of NH to the neighbour kids I babysit so I picked up New Leaf again and decided to start a new town a couple days ago, it's been funny meeting mynew villagers and chilling out with early game tasks. Combined the two and ended up drawing one of my OCs as a villager, she fits a spring aesthetic so new pfp time.
 
Today I'm happy because:

- Despite a full day of meetings, I kept up with my work load.
- I scheduled a day off for next week and a week off in June.
- I took walks on both my morning and afternoon breaks.
- The weather was so nice this afternoon that I was able to walk outside.
- I paid off and cancelled one of my credit cards. I don't need two anymore, so I'm happy to be rid of it.
- I received my tax refund.
- I'm trying some new calming treats for my dog and we're noticing a small difference in his behavior. I'm still giving him half the recommended amount until I'm sure they don't upset his stomach, but I'm hoping we'll see even more improvement when I get him up to the full amount.
- Tomorrow is Friday and then it's the weekend!

☾ GeminiTay's new episode of Hermitcraft was super entertaining—I love the little pranks they play on each other on the HC server and the PvP was a blast to watch too!
☾ Also while we were watching her episode, both of my kitties crawled up into my lap. 😭 My torbie kitty even snoozed for a bit, which she hasn't done in my lap in a long time.
☾ And I got to wind down with Rune Factory 5 this evening! I finally got one of my fave's fourth romance event to trigger aaaaaa 🥺
and I definitely didn't reload at all to try to get it to happen nope certainly not I would never
 
I am back with a semi-regular post in this thread lol. Quite a few things!
  • A few days ago, I went to this store where they were selling a bunch of toy car models, some board games, and a few other things. They also had Hotwheels and so I looked through what they had in stock. I was pleasantly surprised to find Jay Leno's Tank Car (though it's officially called the Blastolene Special)! And believe it or not, this wacky vehicle appeared in the Gran Turismo series at one point, first debuting in 4! It did not make its return in 7, however.

  • Moving on to today, the weather was pretty sunny. It also wasn't freezing cold despite being 3 degrees celsius outside.
  • I'd like to give a huge thanks to @/BrokenSanity for sending over the rainbow candy collectible after I paid for it! Rng has never been kind to me and felt wrecked that I didn't get any last year despite purchasing 30 yellow candies. I'm really glad they had it up for sale so I could buy it. 😊
  • I did a bit of college work.
  • I played more Mario Kart 8 Deluxe today. I've been really enjoying the extra courses over the past few days and absolutely digging the soundtracks on some of them. The Fruit cup is my favourite of all cups so far. I mean, the soundtrack for Yoshi's Island is like the embodiment of happiness, and that's coming from someone who never even touched that game in their life! I ended up doing time trials cruising around that track just so I could listen to it. Oh, and the race start and results are a nice touch too! If anyone ever played Yoshi's Island and got to play on this course, I'd love to hear what references they crammed here lol.

  • An update for Gran Turismo 7 dropped today that added a few interesting cars! I didn't drive most of the new additions yet, but I've been really enjoying this one vehicle and it's hilarious what I can do with it.
On the left, it is a 1987 Porsche 959. On the right, it is a 1964 Porsche Carrera GTS (904)!

This one car added to the game is the main highlight for me, and you might be a little surprised that it ended up in the game!
This is a 2018 Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge! I love its inclusion so much. It's very different compared to the rest of the cars in Gran Turismo 7 as minivans are very rare in the series. Yes, Queenie, Pag-asa, Sterling, and (another) Sterling are getting the luxurious experience while also getting a taste of racing lol.

Laugh all you want, but when given quite a fair bit of upgrades, it can actually put up somewhat of a fight against other opponents! I ended up taking this Alphard to participate in a race and I was absolutely laughing my head at what I was witnessing. Here are a few race photos!

It's hilarious how I'm going wheel to wheel against a 2002 Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) with the 1989 Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA) just a few metres ahead.

And here I am overtaking the RX-7 on the final corner on the final lap, ruining their hopes and dreams of winning. Imagine losing to a minivan of all vehicles. My passengers were probably going crazy after I made that overtake. 😂

- got some nice smelling candles
- yesterday I got a couple new animal crossing amiibo cards from target.. I even managed to get Ankha's card!
- also got some really soft new sweatpants yesterday
- finished sewing this tote bag for my mom though idk if it's good enough for her
- added some new music to my playlist
- talked to my mom briefly (she never calls me back even though she says she will 😛)
- as always I am excited about making dinner tonight
- it's getting colder outside!
 
- The rest of the clothes I ordered were delivered today, and fit well! I especially love the low rise flare jeans I bought, they're super cute :) I also got a black maxi skirt, a really cute sheer green long sleeve top, a bright green crop top, a black bralette, and a graphic crop vest. A lot of clothing I've had on my wishlist/to-buy list for a while, so glad I added a lot to my wardrobe

- Today was a LOOONG last day of university for me, but it's officially my Easter Break now. I'm happy I went to all my classes and even sorted out a group with some girls in my class for one of our assignments, so we can work together on it

- It's getting so close to the time I fly out to Japan, literally so nervous and excited,,
 
➣ It was raining today and my favorite person grabbed me as I was about to leave and told me to be careful because it’s wet and windy. I just can’t with the level of concern. She’s so sweet.
➣ I have been rewarded a quarter raise even though I’m already the highest paid in my position and I’ve been there the least amount of time of the three other people who work my position. Working hard as paid off. In my opinion… [ Work ethic > Seniority ]
➣ I’m seeing the new Super Mario movie in theaters with my favorite person on Thursday. She asked me if she was sitting with me. Well, yeah, lmao. I wouldn’t want to be there with anyone else.
➣ I have finally ordered a swim shirt. My mom has been telling me get a bathing suit because of our trip to Disney World. I just need a pair of swim trunks now. I think she’s expecting me to show up with a bikini, so hopefully she’s accepting of my swim attire. I don’t even like swimming, but no way am I passing up the hot tub or sauna, lmao.
➣ I have also ordered new black work pants, which were much needed since mine look trashed. I just have to hem them when they arrive. I may be short but I’ve been blessed with big feet, somehow. I wear a men’s shoe size 9 (US), which is considered large for a biological female. It helps a lot with passing!!
