- I had very few meetings and it was a calm day at work. I finished my highest priority tasks without getting stressed or working too late.
- I made some time to work on my schedule a little bit. Ironically, it was a suggestion from the time management video I watched weeks ago and I'm just getting around to starting it. I finished my work schedule and I hope it will help me portion out my tasks better.
- My husband and my dog are very sweet and I love them so very much! They always make me happy!
➣ My mom bought me a black eyeliner pen so I can masculinize my eyebrows. Not sure she knows exactly what I need it for but I’m happy she wanted to buy me one. She would’ve given me one of hers but she has dark brown and that’s not my color. ➣ Also, managed to dye my friend’s hair dark purple without any trouble. It doesn’t look purple at all, at least in my opinion, but her dad won’t let her dye her hair unnatural colors despite her being 25 years old, so I guess it’s okay? I see some purple when the light hits.
This is my mom’s house. She’s very into witchcraft, lol. Next time I go over, I’ll have to take a picture of her temple. So many potions and mixes, lol.
➣ I saw this at that sporting good’s store and it reminded me of my favorite person because she always says that her spirit animal is a sloth, lol. Sights of my girl make me smile.
Unfortunately I've caught a cold (and can't call my doctor about what medicine I can safely take until tomorrow ), but I'm still glad about a couple things! ☾ Was given a free Red Cosmos by @/Darcy94x!! ;v; ☾ Watched a few Youtube videos with my family! ☾ And I got to play Pokémon HeartGold for a while today too! I beat both Misty and Erika and earned myself two more Kanto badges!
I've just got one big happy to talk about today. My husband and I have officially been together for 20 years today!
We went on our first date on May 2, 2003. We don't normally celebrate our dating anniversary since we got married, but this was too big of a milestone to pass by without some sort of recognition. We didn't do anything major, but my husband was very sweet and loving to me all day. We exchanged cute texts even though I was working from home, so he was literally in the next room.
He also decided to give me my anniversary present early. He bought it for our wedding anniversary next month, but was too excited to hold onto it that long. He bought me Toothless jewelry with green hearts because his birthstone is emerald! They're so pretty in real life! They're less vibrant than the pictures on the website, but that's fine. The darker tones actually suit my tastes better.
➣ Currently, I’m thankful for my favorite person. Although she can’t be there all the time emotionally or physically, I know she doesn’t care about me any less. I feel bad for what she’s had to go through with me, but she hasn’t not been amazing through the whole thing. I’m personally trying to tone it down a little since I know deep down she’s not that emotional, but I’m glad she’s okay with my hugs. Plus, she’s been sweet when she’s really wanted to be. ➣ I should be getting paid sometime tomorrow or the next, and it’s going to be my biggest paycheck for my current occupation so far. Something to look forward to. ➣ I had a nice and easy day at work today, and hopefully it’s the same for tomorrow.
I made my travel booking for the April 2024 total solar eclipse! I've been looking forward to seeing a total solar eclipse for almost 19 years now (and wasn't able to go see the 2017 one), and am now one step closer to finally realizing that dream! To make things even better, the vacations I took this year and last scored me quite a few points on Amtrak's reward program, meaning that after buying just 1,000 points I had enough to book a room on Amtrak from Los Angeles, California to Dallas, Texas (2 days/2 nights), with all meals included for the trip's duration, for just $38 (the cost of the 1,000 extra points I needed). Hard to argue with a deal like that!
- Had a great sleep last night and woke up really early for uni!
- University went well, and I finished early because my tutor decided to combine classes today
- It's been a beautiful sunny day
- A guy was giving out free Kind Bars, so I snacked on one on the train ride home
- Cooked a chicken breast and marinated it with korma paste, and it tasted amazing
- Tried some of the persimmon monaka that I got as a souvenir from Nara in Japan <3
- My mum recently agreed to go to Austria with me in September, so I've been happy planning that trip out! We should hopefully be booking our plane tickets this week
A few other things I had ordered came in today:
-A wallet
-Bourbon-scented cologne balm
-Bluetooth adapter
Now that I have a bluetooth adapter for my desktop I can wirelessly connect to my sister's scanner/printer. I'll be able to share my drawings w/ people...happy day!
Happy today because I decided to play my AC:NH game today and look for my new island. I’m happy to report I found it! The island map itself is the perfect shape and doesn’t have too many rocks on the beach, so it’s all good there. Plus, it’s one I don’t have to do a lot of terraforming, which is what I wanted. The features it has are, blue airport color, peaches, and mums as the starting flower. And finally, it started with some good villagers too. They are Deirdre and Hamlet. Both of them are nice color schemes and I don’t mind them either.
-I changed my oil and engine coolant, even if swapping out the rear tail lights was a bust since someone cut the wire lol. So it's good to have that checked off.
-I was able to get some much needed rest. I need to start getting to bed at an earlier and more appropriate time so I'm not so dead for work in the very early mornings.
-I have been keeping up with my exercise schedule and just finished today's when I got home from work and maintaining my truck.
-I ordered the remaster of Advance Wars a week ago, but hadn't had the time to play it. I just started it last night and a little bit today. It's just as good as I remember, but with more polished graphics and the AI doesn't 'cheat' like they did so in the originals. It's going to be a fun game to randomly come back to every now and then.
Alright, I have some ACTUAL good news to share today! I received my next manager feedback and read through it, and they said I've been doing a great job and actually progressing in my career! That's wonderful news to hear and brightens my day since past me would be glad just to make it this far, and much more to actually progress further.

☾ I found out that I can take Zyrtec with my other meds!! I will miss Nyquil dearly but any amount of symptom relief really just felt like a blessing ☾ Grian's latest Hermitcraft episode was hilarious omg—also watched a few other videos with my family today! Snoozed through some of them but that's okay too
- Despite not feeling well when I woke up, I was able to get in to see a doctor this afternoon and got a prescription for an antibiotic. So hopefully I'll start feeling better soon.
- I did what I needed to do for myself today, like working from home, dropping from a meeting to go to my doctor appointment, and I didn't even feel guilty about it.
- I'm halfway through the work week. Only 2 more days to go.
➣ I normally don’t post bits from our actual conversation, but I couldn’t not share this. As someone with BPD, this response is absolutely everything. I think it speaks for itself. She respects herself enough to have boundaries and stick with them, but never makes me feel like less of a person in the process. This is, in every way the perfect response from a favorite person. She hasn’t once snapped at me either despite my BPD tendencies. *blurred out some + her pic for privacy*
➣ My eyebrow pen arrived in the mail today and I cannot wait to see how I can masculinize my eyebrows. Maybe it’ll help with the passing and hopefully it won’t look too fake.
I am happy today because my husband bought me a “lego” set of the bathhouse from Spirited Away! I am so excited! He also got me a “lego” succulent set!
