➣ My favorite person sent me a few pictures this morning. Seeing them brought a smile to my face at work. ➣ I'm going out to eat with my mom tomorrow after Trixie's vet appointment. The guy who promised to take her out for her birthday didn't end up following through. What makes it worse was that he told her not to eat anything that day and completely ditched last second. ➣ The girl I like to call my favorite cook gave me a hug today. She was so appreciative of all the extra cleaning I did for her, as well. I wanted to make things easier for her since she got injured last night. She was a little sore today, but I think she's in good shape for tonight so long as it doesn't get too busy. ➣ I was able to watch quite a bit of Mob Psycho 100 today. I'm really enjoying it.
Its pretty small but I have been SO procrastinating on cleaning my room but I finally decided to do it! A messy room will lead to a messy froggy friendo and we cannot have that! I decided to do it today and THE UNIVERSE REWARDED ME I was so surprised but I found my Mario Party Island Tour and Mario Golf World Tour 3DS game cartridges in PERFECT condition. I swore for YEARS that I lost them on my trip to Florida when I was sooo little but wowie.
I got a package of disco Elysium earrings someone made for me. Sbsbsndjnsmsnsns. I'm so obsessed with this game and I have so much merch now. I'm so so happy. I love it so much. Big heart eyes. YOUR blorbo is in a jar??? Mines on my ears. We're not on the same level.
- Work went exceedingly well today! I was very productive.
- I had a nice Italian dinner. Every food choice was 5/5 stars. I cleaned my entire plate!
- My copy of Pokemon SoulSilver arrived today, and I've started my Nuzlocke challenge on it. I chose Cyndaquil as my starter, and it happened to be female, so I nicknamed it Nezuko.
- I got free art from a new mutual on twitter! they wouldn't let me tip sadly but said I could do an art trade so I'll be drawing them something as well : ) and will commission whenever they do open up!
- I saved a fly that wouldn't leave my room for days, maybe lame but idk, I could tell it was getting sluggish and going to die soon so i trapped it in a cup and released it.
- My dog was so cute snuggled up under the covers this morning.
- I had a calm day at work without a ton of meetings. I managed to get my most important tasks done despite not feeling very well.
- Looking at the nice, clean countertop I worked on yesterday has made me happy all day. It was about time I put away some of the things we never use anymore.
- I had some good comfort food throughout the day.
- It was sunny and warm again.
- I saved a fly that wouldn't leave my room for days, maybe lame but idk, I could tell it was getting sluggish and going to die soon so i trapped it in a cup and released it.

☾ I got an absolute ton of cleaning done!! Sorted through some old children's/art books of mine and a huge storage bin full of old papers, and wound up clearing up enough space that I can store my gel pens and embroidery floss containers in there! It looks so much neater in here now; I basically just had them tucked into corners before. ☾ My family and I watched Grian's new Hermitcraft episode! This prank war is absolutely killing me ahahah. We watched a few other short videos too! ☾ I played a teensy bit of Pokémon White! My battery light went red (and my tuxedo kitty was in my lap, so I was stuck lol), so I didn't make much progress, but it's something!
i bought some animal crossing amiibo cards for the first time & i got dom, who i’ve liked since the start but i’ve never really met in game before!
i also have caught up on my class work for the time being & i should be able to get ahead by the end of the week.
i’ve been reducing my caffeine intake & limiting myself to only having caffeine in the mornings, and i’m starting to have better sleep because of it. this is the most rested i’ve felt in years.
★ I haven't talked about Flight Rising for a while but I came up with a morphology for an Aether today, and now I'm probably gonna start a breeding project so I can hopefully have him one day
★this one is a little long so feel free to skip. for context on this one, I went to the mall on Saturday a few hours before I had to leave for work, so I could go to the coffee shop, and I noticed there were actually quite a few stores in there to check out. the thing is, our mall has been a ghost town for probably a decade now, places come and go but they basically never stay and there really hasn't been much to do at all. so seeing a few interesting stores in there actually made me feel pretty happy! only problem is that they all open at noon and this was at about 10:50am, so I couldn't visit them.
well I went back on Sunday after noon, and they were open! the first place I checked out was a gaming lounge that not only buys/sells new and retro games (they had a pretty great selection honestly), but they had a bunch of stations set up with all kinds of game consoles to play! they had quite a few Xbox Series X's, PS5s, and they had an N64, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Switch, and more! I found a copy of Mario Party 2 as well as Simpsons Hit & Run, but both of them are too expensive for me to justify purchasing them (I'm interested but not currently on the market for them), so I passed for now. I did, however, find this Yoshi DS carrying case! it's made for a regular DS but it fits my 3DSXL perfectly, so I bought it. it was actually kinda grimey (as in, like, I could feel something on it skdjfks) so I washed it that night and let it dry overnight, and now it's great! used, of course, but still really great!
I'd also like to mention, this place has a decent vibe, they were playing Disturbed on their speakers which is a bit nostalgic for me because my mom loves that group and used to listen to them all the time when I was in high school. the store also had an overall dark color scheme. my vibe tends to be more bright/pastel colors and pop/soft rock but I can appreciate a good grunge-esque vibe hehe
the second store I went to was much closer to my kinda vibe. they were playing 80s hits on their speakers, and the store specializes in selling toys (both old and new), comics/manga, handmade crafts, playing cards (like Pokemon), prints, and even some retro game stuff! in fact, they had a carrying case that looks exactly like the one I just got, except it's red and blue and has Mario instead of Yoshi on it (tempted to go back for it so I can have the Yoshi case for my gold 3DSXL and the Mario case for my red 3DSXL haha). I wanted to buy something in here before I left, but I didn't want to spend too much money. after looking around a bit more I found a display with a bunch of lego minifigures on one of those green sheets, and they had some Super Mario figures too! they had a bramball, an ant trooper, a foo, and a bone goomba, but the one that really caught my attention was the bully! of course, because I'm a SM64 fanatic haha, though this one's design is based on his appearance from 3D World. to go on a bit of a tangent, it was just recently that I was playing 3D World so I could mess around with them in the Spooky Shipwreck level. anyways, I obviously snatched him up, so now he can be friends with Mr Whompo
(also should mention that I almost forgot that my SM64 lego set had a reeeeeally tiny bully so now he basically has a child too lol)
I saw a togepi squishmallow in that store and omgggdfgkd it's so adorable
★ this is really random but I was looking through the list of stamps from 3D World and I found this super cute art of kistune luigi and I love it
★ my hold for Super Mario Maker 2 came in from the library yesterday! I haven't played it since July 2019, so it's literally been four years! surprisingly (and thankfully) the two hardcore parkour levels my friend made for me all those years ago are still on there, so I can go back and play them again and lose hundreds of lives again hehe.
★ I don't talk much about my job but I need to say that I really love working there. for context, I'm a circ associate at a public library. ever since I was at my last library job in college, I knew that that's where I was meant to work, and I'm so grateful for the job that I have now. also, yesterday while I was checking in some in-house books, I saw a few juvenile books about sharks and it made me think of @LadyDestani
★ wanted to give an update about the anxiety issue I've been dealing with for a little while now. won't go into too much detail, but I had a med change and I'm happy to say that I seem to have it under control now, and I've been able to enjoy myself again over this past week!
★ I'm really grateful for a lot of things at the moment, after struggling for so long it's really awesome to be able to say that I'm loving my life right now
- Went into work/uni for the last time this summer to hand in my work laptop, I'm happy to get that over with haha. It was a bit of a pain bc my train got delayed by 20 minutes, but I'm glad it's done
- My mom is getting out of the physio rehab centre in 2 weeks and we are all excited to finally bring her home. She will have been at the hospital for 3 months at that point so I'm sure she will be relieved to touch grass again.
- I've been playing Story of Seasons AWL almost everyday. I'm burning through it pretty quick. It's simplicity has been calming
➣ I discovered an online software that lets you play older Pokémon games for free, so I just had to run through SoulSilver once more. I’m not too concerned with stats since I’m just playing through the story mode, but I’m proud of the team I have so far. I’m not too far into the game with only one badge, but I’m progressing slowly. I want to truly enjoy this game again, so I’m not rushing to finish it. I'll talk about my progress through points in here for sure. ➣ I had some delicious food from Olive Garden today! It's been a while since I had their five cheese ziti! ➣ Trixie was cuddling with the black cat slipper today and I’m ****ing dead. She’s in love, haha.
*⁀➷ i went shopping with my mom again yesterday!! i didn’t find as much stuff that i wanted to buy as i did last time, but i still had a nice time! i got to
go to a store i hadn’t been to in forever, bought some more cute things, and my mom treated me to a yummy smoothie before we left the mall! i actually have the same go-to order as the woman who was in line in front of me, and we made some nice small talk over it! i sadly didn’t get any pics, but on the way home, my mom and i saw a bunch of canadian geese crossing the road, a car with a bunch of pictures of justin bieber and “keep calm and love justin bieber“ on it, and a deer crossing sign that someone spray painted to look like rudolph the red-nosed reindeer i love going out; i never know what silly things i’ll get to see!
i swore to myself that i wouldn’t buy any plushies since i literally don’t have room, but i am very weak LOL i only planned on getting the fox (she is so soft and cuddly!!), but the cashier enabled my addiction by telling me they had a “buy one, get one free” sale going on, so i nabbed the penguin as well they’re so baby, i love them!!
the plushies also came with a free cupcake decoration kit! i admittedly don’t do much baking, but i’m excited to maybe get to use this during spooky season!
i got to swing by another hot topic location, and you know my rule about grabbing at least one blind bag/box while i’m there! they didn’t have much that appealed to me, but i grabbed me a pride stitch magnet blind bag! i got one of the 4 that i wanted the most, and i’m very happy! he’s on my fridge now, looking very cute!
i got more necklaces as well! the mushroom and honey axolotl ones own my heart, but they’re all so adorable!
i also got a bunch of shorts from walmart (including denim ones, which i normally don’t wear!), but i didn’t bother to take a pic of them

*⁀➷ i continued cleaning the bathroom and kitchen! i still have some stuff to do in the kitchen, but i think i’m pretty much done the bathroom for now! i haven’t been as productive as i’d like to be the past few days since my brain and energy levels have not been super kind, but i’m proud of what i’ve been able to do! i’m trying my best and getting some things done, and that’s all that really matters! ^^
*⁀➷ i finished the worksheet that one of my counsellors wanted me to do! i had a bit of a rough time answering the questions, but i managed, and i’m done in plenty of time for my meeting with her next week!
*⁀➷ i opted in for camp bell tree!! i’m so excited to see what this year’s cabins will look like, who my cabin mates will be, what all activities there’ll be, and of course the new collectibles!!!
*⁀➷ a couple of the fanfics i’ve been reading have been updated, and i’ve enjoyed reading all of the new chapters!
- I am feeling much better than I was yesterday and I was able to sleep through the night.
- I completed all of the work tasks I planned on doing and logged off on time this evening.
- My husband massaged my head, neck, and shoulders for a bit after I was done with work. Such a sweetie!
- I'm getting hyped for Camp Bell Tree!

- The Texas Rangers beat the Tampa Bay Rays again, this time 5-3, and took the series! That's 5 wins in a row!!
- I'm really happy and thankful for the people in my life as well.
Happy today because my new headphones came yesterday and they are super comfy. These are by far the best ones I have ever had. A good buy and they are pink! Bonus there!
☾ Completed some errands and donated a few more boxes of things today! ^^ Also I forgot to mention this yesterday, but while sorting through things, we rediscovered another old adult coloring book! It was barely ever used so I'm happy to have reclaimed it for my current collection! ☾ My family and I got to see InTheLittleWood's second episode of New Life, which was a lot of fun!
