What Are You Happy About Today?

This time I have a lot of things:

• First, the most obvious thing. This was the last day of school. Contrary to some of the things I’ve said, I don’t actually hate going to school. It’s just that at this point, I’ve been going there for so long and I’m hyped to not have to do anything anymore for three months
• Also I had two finals today. One of them was gym, so it didn’t take much effort. The other one was biology, which I think is probably the worst one I’ve done, but I feel like it was at least decent. I don’t know why I don’t think this particular one was good, but whatever. At least I’m done with carcinogens and cancer and stuff like that
• The last thing I have to say about school is that I just checked my grades, and apparently I did really good on my Spanish final. The only ones that haven’t been graded yet are the geometry and biology one
• I’m glad that the diversity event started. Before the event started, I was considering doing something that has to do with how I have Nigerian heritage, but now that the event has actually started… yeah, hell nah. I can barely draw in a 2D plane, there’s no way I can make something that’s 3D and actually good. The reason I’m excited is to see what creative things other people make
• I had Burger King for lunch. Normally we have it a lot, but it’s actually been a while this time so I’m adding it

• 
  Obligatory Sonic related thing: I’m almost done with Sonic CD, which kind of sucks since I like this game, but at least I’m on Stardust Speedway, which is the best zone in the game in all versions of the game in terms of literally everything
• Obligatory Mario related thing: I’m almost done with Super Mario 64, and right now, I only have 25 stars left. I love this game, but I’ve been playing it since April, and I’m ready (actually, probably not) to start 100%ing Super Mario Sunshine. The day I finish Wing Mario Over the Rainbow, I’ll probably achieve true peace
• I’m getting a new SD card on my Switch. This is well overdue and now I don’t have to carefully consider which videos and photos I really want to keep anymore. At least for a while
• I decided to trade @/Lancelot a Smash Ball. Well I’m supposed to, they just haven’t responded yet if ever. At first, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it since I really liked that collectible, but I went through because my lineup is pretty much just whatever I decided to have activated and unhidden, while they’ll probably be able to create an actual lineup with it, so they could probably use it more than I can. So, I’m happy that I can help someone else out

And that’s all. Wow, it feels kind of good to make a long-ass list like that.

☾ My Jackbox t-shirts arrived today!! And early enough so I could put them in with the laundry and have them ready to wear by this evening; I’m wearing the Isabelle shirt now ahahaha ;v;

☾ I have all the bachelorettes maxed out except for Kuruna in Rune Factory 3 Special now!! Have also been decorating my house. It's that point in a Rune Factory game where I have money to spare and need to buy every single plush item available

☾ Got to catch SolidarityGaming’s Slime Rancher stream while it was live today! I love love love Slime Rancher and watched the other two streams as VODs, so it was cool getting to see this one while it was still happening! ;v;

☾ Also watched GoodTimesWithScar’s new Hermitcraft episode and some other quick videos with my parents this evening!

☾ My mom made apple pie!! it’s uh. almost entirely gone now LOL

Today.. I'm happy because..

I got Jiyan's weapon in Wuthering Waves!!! FINALLY! It took me SEVENTY-EIGHT PULLS out of the EIGHTY until you're guaranteed the weapon. I'm so grateful to my friend for giving me a small boost ;w;

My dad made me hard-boiled eggs for egg salad sammies!!! I love egg salad so much T^T

Played some Splatoon 3 today with @Aquilla, @Mokuren, and @Vhoop! I had a ton of fun playing with them earlier this morning!

Watched my friend play Spore today on a Discord stream ^^ It was really fun to watch him make the most CURSED looking species xD

Got McDonalds for dinner. It was sooo tasty :3

My mom got me 4 20oz bottles of the coconut Dr. Pepper! I was very happy about that since they've been kind of hard to find lately T^T

- Screaming, crying, throwing up etc. I found out this morning that I got a first on my dissertation!! I got a 72 to be specific I was soooo shocked because I really felt like I hadn't done well at all (I actually left most of my research and typing it up to just a few days before the deadline ). I think this grade means I may have achieved a first class honours for my degree overall, which would make me ridiculously happy, so fingers crossed

- Had a pretty decent day at work today too!

So far what I’m happy about:

I found my first piece of sloppy furniture in the recycling bin in ACNH today ; it was the sloppy couch (navy blue). I still don’t like the set as much as I did in new leaf since they redid how they looked, but I still want(ed) them.

I got some more items customized today for the variations that I needed. Also swapped out one item in my rep’s upstairs and outside of the house. Still have to replace one of the items I removed.

I played Splatoon 3 earlier with @Mimi Cheems and @Mokuren! I had a lot of fun playing with both of them! I used the bloblobber deco most of the time and I had so much fun (win or lose). I’m so glad @Aquilla told me about the sloshers and bloblobbers when we first started chatting about Splatoon otherwise I may have never tried it. Hopefully I can get a build made for it and the other weapons eventually .

Last night @Xara checked up on me and shared me an adorable picture of Miss Bonk.

I had a nice chat with friends last night.

I watched some of Mistreil’s stream! I really loved seeing the art process behind her chibis; all the chibis are so adorable . This is kinda silly; I wanted to say hi but I was really nervous (a few different reasons; mostly just social anxiety). It went fine though once I did though (I feel silly for how long it took me to get myself to say hi even though I was watching for awhile >.<.) I’m really happy how my chibi turned out; you can see it here (mine is Neuvillette, the guy with the little dragon). I love Mimi’s commission too (they all look fantastic and adorable ; I’m saying Mimi’s in particular since I like Jing Yuan too ).

My dad got me a crispy chicken sandwich and fries from Culver’s today! The fries my dad got me was smaller than i wanted but not really a big deal; it was nice that he got it for me .

I finished my 60th vacation home in HHP last night. I’m pretty happy how it turned out even though I wouldn’t say it is the best that I did; I feel like part of it looks too much like part of another house that I did. A lot of my designs I want to eventually redo once I get all the furniture unlocked since I only did the initial requests and didn’t do much or any remodeling. A few of my better designs I still need to do the exterior. I also may add an upstairs to some of them later too.

My girls were being so cute earlier snuggling together .

That’s it for now! I’m hoping to work on some more vacation homes today and play some more Pokemon Violet. I’m kinda regretting picking a cat only challenge since there aren’t too many cats to pick from ; I still have to trade with a friend for the shinies she got me during tbtwc. Two of them are cats so hopefully they’ll be good for my challenge & can cover some of the type of moves I need .

• I slept good, slept in quite a bit and it was nice
• I'm enjoying some decaf coffee right now while listening to motivational youtube videos
• Got 2 loads of laundry done, all my bedding. So I put fresh bedding on and organized my apartment. I'll do the more thorough cleaning tomorrow but it already looks a lot better
• I gave Mocha and Mustachio some treats and they were very happy! I love them so much
• I didn't really exercise today but I plan on getting back to it tomorrow. Sometimes a rest day or so is needed
• Plan on getting out in the sun tomorrow
• I feel really good right now, despite some stressful stuff going on I'm doing my best to focus on the present moment
• Learned the C Major scale on violin yesterday
• Going to play some chess with my boyfriend tonight!
• Thoroughly enjoying lots and lots of anime with my Hulu and Crunchyroll subscriptions
• My boyfriend and I watched another of the newer episodes of Demon slayer last night and it was good! We're also watching Naruto and Soul Eater.
• Watching Demon Slayer last night made me crave ramen from watching them eat noodles so I might have some ramen tonight Nothing fancy, just some chicken flavored top ramen with tons of hot red pepper flakes to make it spicy
• I'm feeling grateful right now, it's not easy due to some stressors right now but I am grateful

Today's been great!

- Yesterday at the gym I beat my previous record on the rowing machine by 13 seconds, despite not having done cardio in awhile!

- Also yesterday I played Demon Slayer Sweep The Board with an offsite friend and @/nyx~! It was a lot of fun.

- Today I got up and had a delicious meatball sub from Subway as my cheat meal for the week, and then I went and cleaned the pool, and used it for a bit. It was so refreshing.

- I loved on my kitties yesterday and today, and plan on feeding them their favorite food soon.

- I'm excited to watch the newest MHA episode! Seems like there's going to be a lot going down.

I got paid to be a test audience for one of my favorite childhood shows being rebooted.

It was great as I remembered and I was overjoyed the entire time. I hope that the show is actually given a revival. I left positive feedback after the sample.

It was a rough morning but I'm fine now. Before all that drama with the rice (another story), I woke up early to check the forums and I noticed I had two messages. I thought someone must have reacted to my posts, but when I looked at what it was... OMG. @ZeldaCrossing64 sent me collectibles!! TYSM again buddy!!

Other than that nothing special occurred. I ate philippine adobo it tasted great. Also, I got to laze around in my bedroom. That's it.

• Today I'm happy because I got to play Splatoon 3, AGAIN.. with my best buds @Mokuren and @Dunquixote <3 I'm a smelly Splat Roller main, and sometimes I suck, but I still had so much fun! It's ten times better with friends compared to playing solo c:
• I'm also happy because my older brother and I played Animal Crossing: New Horizons together. We hit each other with nets, played hide-and-seek, got coffee at The Roost, and we also visited each others museums. I let him have one of my Lily of the Valley plants, gave him some free DIYs, and a melon cotton candy ! I always spoil him with gifts whenever he visits Ino Island ^^
• I got to eat some yummy hot-dogs today for dinner. My dad has been using manwich instead of chili sauce, and tbh.. it's just as good as chili sauce xD Seeing Dun post about Culver's though.. I wanna drive an hour to go get some xD Their food looks so good! T^T
• My mom bought me a Kinder Bueno the other day (forgot to mention this). It made me happy 'cuz it's my favooorite chocolate bar!
• Mistreil finished my Jing Yuan chibi! He looks sooo adorbs and I literally wish it was a real life chibi so I could put him in my pocket and carry him around everywhere I go ;w;
• Chatted with some of my friends (I have so many online friends from all over the place, I've come to realize), and enjoyed my discussions with them! ^_^
• Gonna end the day with more Animal Crossing: New Horizons and work on my island some more. I may start doing the DLC again because when I restarted my island, I, of course, lost my DLC progress xD I really want to get to decorating my villagers homes so I need to grind that DLC!!! And I'll hopefully get to play more Splatoon later with my pals c:

☾ Watched an episode of Hunter x Hunter with my parents this morning!! and good lord this show is brutal sometimes

☾ I played Cozy Grove this evening too! Most of the bears just wanted to talk today, so I was able to make story progress for a lot of them really quickly, and I also caught some new critters and finally made a cornucopia for the collections!! Just missing the Fancy Pho now and maybe some other recipes I haven’t gotten ahold of yet

☾ wake up friends!! Mistreil coloring tutorial just dropped I am Stealing all of the watercolor brushes they use

My best friend visits my city once a year for a work conference—I’m happy because I get to spend this weekend and next weekend with her! We went to an incredibly cool children’s book museum this afternoon, and she’s staying at my place for a couple of nights before heading out to work for a few days. We’ve been close for over a decade now. I’m not great at making friends, so I’m really grateful to have one close friendship that has stood the test of time.

I’m also happy that my library (where I work) has successfully kicked off the summer season. I enjoy the busyness and change of pace! My recent craft program was a huge success and there are more programs to look forward to.

As silly as it is, I’m also happy that I was able to buy an extra arcade token. I couldn’t choose which collectible to cut from my purchase list, and now I don’t have to!

Today has been a great day . Today is Aurora’s Birthday. She is now 4. It is also the start of my vacation. We aren’t going anywhere just getting stuff done around the house. It’s just nice to have the week off.

I vacuumed out my car . Went to the store and picked up Mario Kart . I was thinking about getting it and watching everyone play during the event. You all made it look like so much fun. I did better then I thought I would since I haven’t played in forever but starting slow to see all the tracks.

I have been playing more Pokémon Violet and really enjoying it. It’s the first main game I have played in a few years so it’s been seeing the new Pokemon. I’m definitely still glad I didn’t look any of them up before starting.

- Have been feeling a bit more invigorated about life since I got my dissertation results, which is a good feeling My parents want to go out and celebrate when i get my full results later in the month too

- Just been having a chill sunday, made some oat porridge for breakfast then had loaded avocado on sourdough toast with eggs, bacon, salsa, hummus, cheese etc...

- Washed my hair and changed my bed sheets, refreshing

My stepbrother is back from Australia at the moment, on the way back he stayed In Japan for a few days, and he brought me all these goodies! I wasn't expecting them at all, and Quaquaval was my starter which is an amazing coincidence.
