What are your preparations for the upcoming game ACNewHorizons?

I normally have week-ends off, so I only asked for the 20th off. Hopefully I won't get scheduled for work that week-end anyway.

I haven’t really done anything so far apart from preordering the game. Before launch, I need to settle on a town name and come up with a plan of what features I’m looking for in my town (to make it easier to decide whether to reset or not, how many times to reset, etc.).

My guess is that I won’t have time to start my town until Saturday afternoon. I’m hoping to read up on people’s initial impressions and town resetting thoughts before opening up my copy, but that’s not something I’ll be able to do until Friday night before bed, most likely.

Weirdly, I'm trying to prepare by "finishing" my New Leaf town. I don't want to just abandon it, and I feel like I won't be playing ACNL for a good few months at least while I obsess about New Horizons and everything new to do there. So hopefully I can unlock a few more PWP's, get my town finished and be able to play ACNH "in peace".

Since Friday is a national holiday I'll pick up my Switch bundle in the morning and play it for the next three days. IDK if I'll take any days off of work after that because it's kind of a tricky time of year, since it'll be between school years (I work at a school) and I should probably stick it out to talk with teachers that will be leaving the school shortly.

I'm going to the hospital to get refills before it comes out because I don't want to waste time on that when it's out!

I'm also trying to make plans to meet with people before it comes out. Of course I'll still meet with people after it comes out but...

I'm taking that Friday off. That will give me 3 days to play before going back to work on Monday.

I might play NL for a couple hours to get my hands back in the groove with controller buttons...I havn't played any games since last February...a year. I definately will get out my amiibo cards for a review and look through my Prima NL guidebook and my many game and character notes. It would be nice if the new game preserves the character's preferences, personality and favorite items from the past...like how they prefer their coffee, fave colors and styles, etc.

I've recently hooked up my GameCube back up to play AC: Population Growing again. Definitely felt weird using a controller instead of a handheld.

I'm in America for business from the 18th to the 23rd of March and seeing as, in the UK, you get the game with the LE console, I'll have to wait until I get home on the 23rd. But then I'm off until the 28th!

In the meantime, I'm refreshing blogs and nintendo news sites for news on a direct and driving my partner made by constantly watching AC videos on youtube and playing NL.

My boyfriend requested a few days off work to stay home and play it with me! We also got the special edition switch and we will be preordering both of the Power A controllers. Possibly a few other animal crossing related things to basically have a mini celebration! I?m so stoked for this game.

I recall my Botw pre-order did something similar to this, but it changed as the release got closer, I wouldn’t worry too much about it

I took the weekend off work, and I'm deciding what snacks i want to pick up at target when I pick up my game. I'm expecting my SO and I to just spend the whole day playing when it comes out so I don't have to prepare much.

-I also pre-ordered a copy of the game from target to ge the preorder notebook.
(the game is for my husband)
-I bought a pack of no-bleed pens to write in said notebook.

-I have officially taken the AC amiibos off of the high shelf, and have them ready to use

I pre-ordered the NH Switch as well as a physical copy of NH. Bought whatever accessories I wanted for the Switch (carrying case, micro sd card, screen protector). Now everything is in a bag waiting for when my Switch arrives.

I also preorder the game console, will pickup the game possibly at 12 am. I have also ordered some amiibo cards. I had my top ten already, but I thought I would expand to some of the ones that I don’t love, but like ( just in case ).

Well I'll finish my monthly prompt for a Writer's Royale I'm doing before the game comes out so I have as much time as possible to play the game until April. But at the rate it's going the judges said that February's prompt's due date will be March 15th, so I'll have like a few days to really crunch most of the work for the March prompt.

I saw that too when I was ordering, so I just decided to pickup instead...couldn’t Risk it.
