What Did You Accomplish On Your Island Today?

Posting a little later than usual, but better late than never!


2/19
• Today's HHA S-rank puts us at 236,829 points, the same as last week.
• Dug up the gyroid fragment from yesterday; retrieved a Crumploid. Also found a Bwongoid and a Tremoloid that popped up from yesterday's snowfall.
• Delivered the gifts! (Patty's got sent through the mail, as I couldn't find her anywhere.)
• Chatted with Buck (out for a jog). He loved the mod parka I gave him 👍
• Made a perfect snowman today! Also recieved a single large snowflake ❄
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster. Timmy stopped by for a cup!
• Decided to check out some more custom designs.

From what I gather, sloppy furniture is pretty rare. The recycle box furniture/clothing sets are rare in general, I think. I don't think Hippeux will unlock anything sloppy( he's too classy for that, lol) but maybe more slobbish villagers. I think Frett is one, and others are Jake and Harry maybe? I think anything that shows up as unorderable in the Nook catalog will not be available for order in Wardell's catalog. This also includes everything Saharah and other rare stuff like the wedding furniture, crafted furniture, etc.

Oh, wrong hippo. It was the hippo with the mustache that wanted a messy theme.
Oh well, guess I won’t be owning any sloppy furniture with my luck.

Try checking the recycle box about once a week. I occasionally find sloppy furniture in my box if I dont check it too often. Between both my islands Ive found plenty sloppy beds, a few tables and an extra sink. You're welcome to take them all, if you want.

2/20 (Happy Festivale! 🎊🎉)
• Changed into a more appropriate costume for dancing 👍
• Recieved a Snowperson Head in the mail from yesterday's snowman.
• Chatted with everyone; everyone was excited due to Festivale.
• Made another perfect snowman, recieved a large snowflake from the one I made yesterday ❄
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster. Got to order with pigeon milk today! (Also, tried convincing Blathers to dance; I was almost successful)
• Danced with Pavé! 🎉🎊🎉 I also brought him plenty of feathers, trying to stock up on some more decorations for next year.
• Discovered I'd accidentally logged on too late to visit any of the shops... 😖 a lot of items ended up in the dropoff box today...
• Deposited a lot of bells into savings (had WAY too many on hand...)
• Tried to get a clip of Kitty dancing on a stage, but she apparently got camera-shy by the time I was ready; she waved at me, and then quickly trotted off...
 
Very minor things today but stuff that needed to get done! I did minor cliff terraforming to buff out some edges around my campsite and planned tree farm - the latter of which I also mapped out. I was going to have a lot more trees for it, but my orchard isn't what I thought it would be so I'm going to scale it down and move it next to the tree farm. I'm really excited to get this done because it'll free up a lot of space where the orchard currently is and I'll get to make it something more fitting to my farm area.

Other than that I got some fencing down and put paths under a few spots I decorated last week. It's a lot of little touches at this point but it's all coming along well and I'm loving it.
 
Didn't get to post last night due to having a doctor's appointment at the buttcrack of dawn, but had enough time today to finish both reports as a result! 👍

2/21
• Isabelle mentioned that Label was visiting today; I passed her Comfy Challenge with flying colors, and recieved a pair of Labelle sneakers as a reward.
• Recieved a frozen counter in the mail from yesterday's snowman.
• Found out there was a visible Aurora when I left my house!
• Chatted with Buck (working out with Francine and Kitty in the plaza). Ended up witnessing a conversation between him and Francine over hiccups. Francine had been trying to scare them outta Buck, and was only successful after she screamed "HONEY-BUN!!!" at him at the top of her lungs. Now he's saying "honey-bun", and she ended up with the hiccups herself for a bit...
• Found a gyroid fragment on the beach!
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Couldn't find the snowballs anywhere I looked, so no snowboy was made today. Still got large snowflakes from two of the others, at least. ❄❄

2/22
• There was a visitor at the campsite today: Cousteau the Frog (or is he a toad...?)
• Recieved two tailor's tickets in the mail from Label, as well as a random letter from Buck that made me smile 😊
• Chatted with Buck (chilling at home).
• Found Gulliver passed out on the beach. Luckily, it didn't take long to find his phone's missing pieces. (Though it did take me a while to get to it, as I ended up taking an impromptu nap after I couldn't keep my eyes open...)
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Dug up the gyroid fragment from yesterday; retrieved a Bloopoid!
• Didn't quite make a perfect snowman today, but still recieved large snowflakes from two of the others ❄❄
• Ended up visiting Patty for a bit at her request, she gave me a poncho coat when it was time to leave.
• Put away all of the Festivale decorations.
 
2/23 (snowing)
• Isabelle warned us of the risks involved with buying art from shady sources; Redd was back in town. Unfortunately, I already had each of the pieces on display, so I bought a checkout counter to keep him happy.
• Recieved a geisha wig in the mail from Gulliver; yellow, this time.
• Chatted with Buck (wandering around in the hybrid gardens).
• Broke my doorbell aaaaand needed materials to make a new once, so I chopped some wood and hit a few rocks for iron.
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster. Found Resetti at the counter!
• Screwed up another snowman, promptly began whacking the back of its head with my net out of frustration (on the one hand, yeah, it's probably mean; on the other, they don't yell at you for it, so...) Recieved a single large snowflake from the last one ❄
• Ended up going with Francine to her house for a bit. Played a card game, won a tropical hat off of her, and was gifted a full-length dress with pearls when it was time to go.
 
Sold a ton of crops for over 60000 Bells. It helps if you have both the Bell Ordinance in effect and have planted ten of each crop starts not including pumpkins.
 
I haven’t posted here in awhile but I still play a bit everyday! Today is the last day of winter, I’ve been mostly catching snowflakes… Cleo asked to move again so I let her go :’)
 
Was a little busy yesterday and fell asleep before I could post... 😅


2/24
• Isabelle mentioned that Flick was visiting today; I brought him three stinkbugs for a collectible...and with that tomorrow, I'll finally have a collectible for each bug; A feat almost three years in the making! 🎉
• Dug up a Xylophoid and a Rattloid that popped up from yesterday's snowfall.
• Chatted with Buck (chilling at home). He warned me that Rex was sick, so I made sure to pick up some medicine for the poor guy (...I won't lie, I actually almost forgot; I remembered as I was logging out, and then I immediately logged back in to race over to the store...)
• Made a perfect snowman today! 😄
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Checked out some more custom designs.

2/25 (bye bye, snow...)
• Wasn't expecting the snow to be gone already, so the sight of the grass actually startled me.
• Isabelle mentioned that young spring bamboo had started growing again. Maybe I'll make some more pieces to use this year.
• Took the stinkbug model out of the mail; my Insect Model Collection is finally complete! (Huzzah! 🎉🎊🎉 ) Also recieved a frozen tree from yesterday's snowman; that'll be the last gift until next winter.
• Ran around trying to pick up all of the ice decor...but quickly realized I had NOWHERE NEAR enough space in storage for them all...
• Finally caved and paid Nook the 700k bells to expand my storage...but, to my dismay, it wouldn't be ready for use until TOMORROW! 😖 So for now, there's a bunch of winter decor just sitting around in the field near Gayle and Rhonda's houses...
• Recieved a large snowflake from the final snowman ❄
• Chatted with Buck (out for a stroll, net in hand). Seeing him say "honey-bun" really amuses me for some reason.
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Found Slider set up in the plaza; since I finished my work early, I did not attend the show today. I did chat with everyone in the audience, though.
 
2/26
• Today's HHA S-rank puts us at 236,829 points, the same as last week. This time, they said my kitchen was worth the least amount of points, and that it just means there's PLENTY of room for "improvement". (That was HEAVY sarcasm on my part) I like my kitchen the way it is, thank you very much. 😤
• Ran around and put every winter decoration left out into storage. I now have plenty of space for it, thankfully.
• Recieved a single large snowflake ❄ I'm glad the last snowman ended up perfect.
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Found Gayle and Mathilda doing stretches together in the plaza; on the topic of stretches, I'd planned to chat with Buck, but I never ran into him today...

So over the weekend I redid basically all of this lol

I've been in the process of reverting my terraforming back to what it originally was, and part of that original layout was a standalone cliff in the bottom left corner of my map. It's been annoying to work around and left hardly any room for much more than a path next to it, so I decided to remove it completely. In its place is a new, bigger tree farm as well as Marcie's house. I think I'll also be able to fit a little park there too, which I've always wanted to do for her since she's got her baby with her.

I also redid my museum's entrance with the help of my partner. They've got a really good eye for decorating and helped me come up with a new layout for the items I wanted to use and I really like it! It flows much better with the surrounding bits and looks a lot more natural (I tend to suffer from feeling like each piece of my island looks like a self-contained box, and then none of them look like they blend of flow into each other).

Next to this new layout for the museum I put down a food truck and some tables, and further next to that I moved my farmer's market/street shops which had been previously in the back of my island and didn't make a lot of sense being so far from "town." It all really pulls together the look of the town, which makes me the happiest I've ever been with this island (which is already a lot, but it feels good to feel like I've hit a good stride with the location of things and getting the flow down, finally after over a year of this island and a looooot of layout changes lol)

Oh! I also changed my house exterior since I've moved myself to my Japanese-inspired part of the island. Along that same vein, I got around to Cyd's home makeover so that he matches the area and also gets a fun decorated house. It's not my favorite that I've done but I'm happy with it for now. I went back and forth so much about whether or not to keep his drums and the skull theme, but I think I'm going to make that inspiration for his vacation home.

I think that's everything that has happened since the last time I posted! I think next up is some minor housekeeping stuff like swapping where some decorations are and getting plants/custom designs into the places I worked on this weekend.
 
Fell a little behind on posting, and I missed a day, but I'm still trying to stay on track.

Lost a day to poor time management, and a lot of last-minute grinding on Splatoon 3... Now my hands hurt 😅

2/28 (raining)
• Isabelle gave us advice on what to do should we find someone passed out on the beach... (apparently, Gulliver washed ashore...but I completely forgot to help him out 😖 )
• Found a lost bag outside Gayle's house. After asking around, I was able to get it back to its owner: Pekoe.
• Apparently, it must've rained yesterday, because I dug up an Oinkoid and a Spikenoid.
• Lamented the fact that I wasn't able to say goodbye to the season's last snowman... 😭
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Patty was thinking about moving away, but I was able to change her mind. For now, at least.
• Visited Harv's island, customized a few things with Reese and Cyrus. Also visited Kicks and Saharah while I was at it.
• Deposited a lot of bells into savings.
• Started getting out some springtime decorations.

3/1
• Isabelle mentioned that Saharah was visiting; however, no matter where I looked, I couldn't find the esteemed camel anywhere...
• Recieved a candle set in the mail from in-game Mom.
• Dug up a Babbloid and a Drummoid that popped up from yesterday's rainfall.
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster. Got to order with pigeon milk today!
• Checked out some custom designs...
• Got out some more springtime decor.

  • Said goodbye to Boone.
  • Went island hopping the day after. Invited Tybalt over <3
  • Took pictures of Wendy while she was doing stretching exercises in front of her house.

• Isabelle mentioned that C.J. was visiting today...but since I still didn't have enough stringfish for a collectible yet, I didn't seek him out.
• Found a gyroid fragment on the beach!
• Began preparing the museum field for picnic season...
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Chatted with Buck (browsing at the Able Sisters).
