What Did You Accomplish On Your Island Today?

I finally decided to give in again to the terraforming. Was giving myself the challenge of not doing so (plus I kinda went overboard in my last town before my old Switch crashed), but kept *kinda* quitting because my layout didn’t make it easy for the things I have in mind. Turns out I wasn’t enjoying myself, and finally starting to give my “new” town a needed facelift for the first time since starting it in late 2022 lol.

Since work takes up most of my time and energy, this’ll take a very long while, I’m accepting. But happy to have it that way, since it’ll occupy me til we get any sort of news for the next game.

February 14
-Isabelle announced we have a visitor at the campsite! I quickly went to see who it was and it was Audie!
-Went back to my mailbox to empty out my Valentine's gifts and the model Flick made for me
-C.J. was visiting today so I also asked for a model from him, I gave him 3 football fish from my storage
-Found the glowing spot and planted a money tree
-Visited both shops, I bought some rain boots from Ables in a couple colours I didn't own before
-Talked to all my villagers
-Gave Punchy and Dora some wrapped fruits and received a flower sweater and an aran-knit sweater
-Completed a bunch of Nook Miles tasks
-Got coffee at the Roost, Brewster also wished me a Happy Valentine's Day

I was moving some houses around and I think I finally have all house locations figured out now. My other file/island resident and one other villager (rip Raymond) were secluded on the beach for a long time, so it's nice to have that figured out. I also decorated some cliffs on my island. That may not seem like much, but I have a lot fair amount of decorative cliffs that I've been meaning to add to, but I've been so lazy about doing anything lol. I also went on my other file that I don't often play because today is her birthday, and I was curious to see who would host her birthday party! It ended up being Raymond which was a little unfortunate since I plan to kick him out. This file doesn't really have much progression so I was also buying some clothes at Ables to give her a proper outfit. It doesn't seem like much but little things like that really help piece my island together and make it feel more complete. ^^

I got a new villager -Norma! I sometimes spend forever trying to find a new villager on the islands. I've left it to fate in the past, because I wasn't happy with the villagers I ran into on the islands.

I was thinking of using the amiibo card and inviting Chai, but - I put my cards in a safe place and have no idea where they are now. Pfft.

So I went island hopping, and on the 2nd island, there was Norma. Pink asthetics (love!) and normal personality, perfect! Goodbye Francine, hello Norma!

Thanks, but I don't deserve the credit. Credit goes to whoever first discovered it and to the author of the article that publicized it. I'm amazed that it's not more popular though. Counting seconds is a lot easier for me than trying to stand in just the right place to measure a snowball to just the right size.

• Got the Pirate-Treasure Robe from Gullivarrr in the mail. Dress-Up went from 86% to 87%.
• Got a new color of Shiny Bow Platform Shoes. Shoes went from 95% to 96%.
• Nothing new in the HHP Apparel Shop.
• Today's Snowperson was a failure.
• Miscellaneous started at 96% and Total started at 97%. Got a delivery of bug and fish models from Liz!, and this changed to Miscellaneous at 97% and Total at 98%.
  • Got the following: Pop-eyed Goldfish Model, Pufferfish Model, R. -Ken was crafting and taught me a new DIY recipe for a golden wristwatch!
-Found the glowing spot and planted a money tree
-Made a perfect snowboy!
-Gave wrapped fruits to Punchy who gave me a light-up flower crown
-Completed some Nook Miles tasks
-Plucked some flowers from my hybrid flower garden to craft some wreaths
-Ordered magazine x5 from the Nook Shopping app to do some DIYs

-Emptied my mailbox of everything I ordered, plus there was a lovely letter from Dora
-I immediately ordered 5 more magazines from the Nook Shopping app, also for crafting DIYs
-Label was in the plaza and she gave me a tee-parka combo to show her a sporty outfit
-Found a DIY bottle on the beach that taught me a new recipe for a chic tulip crown!
-Harvested a fully grown money tree
-Cleaned up some overgrown flowers
-Talked to my villagers
-Gave Punchy some lucky money in a red envelope and he gave me a bath-towel wrap in return
-Dora was at home crafting and she taught me a new recipe for a "nice branch" so now I can walk around with the satisfaction of holding a nice stick
-Completed some Nook Miles tasks
-Coffee at the Roost

• Total Clothing started at 92%, Dress-Up started at 87%, and Accessories started at 96%.
  • Got the Animal Nose from the Able Sisters and Accessories went to 97%.
  • Got all Chic Tuxedo Dresses.
• Bought the 700k storage expansion.

-Emptied my mailbox, I got an evening bag from Cookie and the magazines I ordered
-I was finally able to craft the manga-libarary wall DIY, plus some other DIY crafting
-Plucked some more rainbow flowers from my hybrid garden, still saving up for crafting later
-Talked to my villagers
-Went on a Kapp'n tour
-Found the glowing spot and planted a money tree, and harvested a fully grown money tree
-I made it above 7 million bells in my ABD!
-Coffee at the Roost, Wilbur was also there and I love to interact with the NPCs when they're at the Roost
-Completed a bunch of Nook Miles tasks

I got the 3000 Nook Miles for Miles achievement today! The 1000 task stamp I got in August 2020 which really nicely illustrates how much my playing has slowed down since then but better late than never! I also made it above 125k Nook Miles today.

I finally decided to cook a bunch of recipes! I just reached the achievement for cooking 100 things if I read it correctly (was kinda speeding through my tasks today but I swear that's what it said lol). I find diys and cooking tedious tbh, so I've put off that stuff for the most part unless I know they're items I need to use for a build or decoration. I didn't go out of my way to cook every recipe I had, but I did a good chunk which I'm proud of. I also finally planted a few more crops because I needed more pumpkins and I think I just got the achievement for planting 20 produce. Seems like so little, but I think I got most of my produce plants from islands or trades, so I've really had no reason to plant anymore. My island doesn't have a farm or crop area so the few crops I have are limited to my villagers yards. I also cleaned up my beaches today, as they had a bunch of items scattered all over the place and I was getting tired of it + it was hard to remember and keep track of all the items I owned.

-It's Dora's birthday today! I honestly forgot but no worries because I found her a nice gift in my storage (a dark blue zen hair clip) and headed on over! Peewee was there and celebrating with her.
-The aurora borealis was also visible tonight! Glad I played tonight just to enjoy that.
-Talked to the rest of my villagers
-Gave Punchy some wrapped fruits and he gave me an athletic outfit in return
-Completed some Nook Miles tasks
-Found a scallop while diving so I got to see Pascal and get some wisdom from him
-Coffee at the Roost

Had a really short time playing today but I did the following:

• Went fishing
• Collected all the items on the beach and sold them
• Hung out with Buck
• Went shopping for clothes
• Changed my outfit
• Changed my hair colour and style

-Checked the mail, I got a knit hat from Dora as a birthday thank you
-Kick's is here! I bought some black embroidered shoes from him to expand my shoe collection.
-Talked to my villagers
-Visited both shops, I bought a red intricate wall from Nooks
-Made a snowboy (imperfectly)
-Harvested a fully grown money tree
-Plucked some more hybrid flowers and I was finally had enough to craft some of the wreaths I've never made before
-Completed some Nook Miles tasks

• Got the Ripped Doctor's Coat from the Recycling Bin!
• Able Sisters sold all colors of Corduroy Pants!
• Got the last color of Wrestling Shoes and Mage's Booties from Kicks!
• With all of this, my clothes cataloged went to 93%.
• REDD'S SHIP HAD THE NICE PAINTING WHICH IS A 100% LEGITIMATE ONE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
• I GOT ANOTHER PERFECT SNOWMAN TODAY.
• Did the math. Only have enough sticks to get to tier 4 of toolcrafting badge. Ugh.
• Spent 900k to upgrade home storage. Will finish my house completely in two days.
• I love chipping away at all my tasks.

• As expected, the Nice Painting was real. That just leaves 3 statues to donate.
• YES I MADE ANOTHER PERFECT SNOWMAN TODAY. I'm bummed that snow goes away in 4 days, now that I've got the hang of this. I'll be stuck on 9/10 perfect snowmen until next year...assuming I get lucky each of the next 3 days of snow.
• Found a missing item for Knox.
• Paid my next, final home storage expansion.
