What did you cook or bake today?

Vegan mac and peas! It turned out really creamy this time for some reason but that's what made it even better!!

it was my first time cooking shrimp so i was worried they'd turn out bad, it actually cooked perfectly!

i also remade the choco fudge cookies and they turned out pretty great!

Made two Madeira loaf cakes today. One for our household and one that I dropped off at my mum's doorstep

I made brownies this afternoon! Usually when I do I stir in the little Reese’s cups, but this time I followed the recipe and just stuck to chocolate chips. I also swirled in some peanut butter and they’re really good!

I attempted Gingersnaps yesterday! ...Unfortunately they crumbled and were pretty floury out of the oven :/ I'll try again another day!

Oh god. This happened to me when I followed some cinnamon cheesecake snickerdoodle recipe on pinterest. It tasted like bad pretzels. The horror...
im gonna go ahead and guess that the flour wasn't enough, although the recipe said that the dough was supposed to be runny and to cool it a bit to get a thicker consistency, i think its the lack of enough flour or the milk in the chocolate that made it more runny that it should and ended up in... that

nonetheless it was kinda good? but half of it was unbaked so i threw the whole thing away

Made my own sloppy joe mix. Pretty easy to do and tastes better than the canned stuff. I like to spice it up with extra things like bell peppers and onions.

Pineapple fried rice and matzo brei. I don’t know what matzo brei is but I made it anyway.

I may bake some cookies today! snickerdoodle or chocolate chip- I dunno yet. leaning towards choc chip though!

Empanadas! The recipe called for cumin and chilli powder, but I just replaced those with paprika instead since I like that better.
I don't deep fry mine, I do them in an air fryer. Delicious.

I assembled and shipped out the assorted macarons I technically made yesterday, does that count...?

also being a pastry chef/food industry employee in general is so weird right now. shoutout to my fellow chefs keeping up business amidst all this chaos <3
