Personally, I'm terrible at bringing my own lunch. I'll sometimes bring leftovers, and used to make something. These days the mental load to create something for lunch is too much, so I buy something.

My workmates are mixed - some bring their own, others always buy something, and some people go home. Some I've never seen them eat at all...

So do you go out and buy something or bring your own?

Where I was we could eat at the cafetaria for free; so most of the time that's what I did.
When I didn't, I always brought my own thing because going out to buy something is expensive. I always bring leftovers from the last dinner or make a quick sandwich.

I don’t have a job yet (I’m still young). But whenever I get started I’ll likely pack my own lunch as I’m a very picky eater.

I work part-time so while I do have the option of taking a 15-minute break, I find that it's not enough time for a lunch break. So I usually eat right before I leave for work, that way when I get home 4-5 hours later I'll be ready for dinner time 😄

I also strongly prefer to make/buy something fresh, rather than packing something beforehand, because it tends to stay with me longer, so that's also a deciding factor. And because my breaks are only 15 minutes and the nearest eatery is a good 8-10 min drive from where I work, it's just not feasible for me to do that.

Depends who is going to be in the office that day. If its pretty much just me I'll usually pack lunch but if others are in I'll grab something with them.

I never got info the habit of prepping lunches beforehand, so I never brought one when I worked in a physical office. I didn't buy often either because of the cost, though I did treat myself from time to time. I chugged water/coffee and held off until supper. 😅

It was a lot easier when I started working from home because I just got up and made something whenever I got hungry.

I WFH now so I have my personal fridge at my disposal. I...guess you could say I go home for lunch lol. But back when I did commute for work I used to mainly make lunch or take leftovers with me. I had bought a cute bento box from Japan and it genuinely made it fun to craft lunch ideas and how to decorate jsksbfk.,

I usually eat before or after work. I work relativity shorter shifts so I’m not going that long without food. I only eat at work when I’m very hungry or when I’m training, to take advantage of the free meals. I alway drink soda at work, and I bring that myself. I don’t like the drink options at work, lol.

when i do go into the office theres a pizza place just 2 streets down with a cool 90s aesthetic that has great cheap slices, it's my go to. but usually im wfh so just whatevers in the fridge

I'll be the odd ball out and say I never eat lunch while at work but may enjoy something occasionally. But for the sake of this thread I will put it in the perspective of me eating lunch on those days.
If I bring a lunch, it is going to be something small and decently low carb and mainly because I do not want to look/feel bloated while at work, and also I'm not interested in crapping my pants with customers around.
I never buy a lunch but if somebody is buying something for all, I rarely pick up too.

I almost never bring lunch so I normally just walk around. I only go out and get food if I’m really really hungry.

I bring something to eat (normally some sausage rolls, meatballs, leftover pizza ect) and then occasionally something sweet like cookies ect as well. I do sometimes get the chance to buy something during work!

Since starting my medications, I've been skipping lunch or ordering in. I work in the office most days. Whenever I work from home, my partner is the biggest sweetheart on the planet, so he'll make something really tasty for me to make my WFH days extra cozy and special. It's really nice, I don't do it to often so it's always a treat.

GrubHub and I are basically besties.

when i worked retail, i would always pack my own lunch unless i was really craving something from the food court. now i'm wfh so that's just constant homecooked meals hehe

I always brought my own lunch when I worked since the window when the cafeteria would be open is limited during night shift.

I just always bring in left overs from the dinner the night before. Sometimes I go get something as a treat.

when I have food around the house, I try my best to bring something with me! usually a bagel or something like that. but if i forget/don't have anything it's not a huge deal - lunch only costs around £2/£2.50 in the staff canteen so it's not breaking the bank. i prefer to save that little bit of money though!

When I had a hybrid work schedule, I almost always brought my own lunch to the office. Lunch was usually leftovers from dinner on the previous night. I mainly did this to save on costs and time to walk to and get through the cafeteria. I preferred to eat home-cooked food and stay at my desk.

I WFH now, so I usually make something, eat leftovers or order in!
