What Irks Me In Auctions

I really don't see anything wrong with it as long as they link the thread where the auction is taking place on a different site. If they don't post it then I don't think it should be allowed.

Wait, weren't you the guy who got Fauna for free and sold her on bell tree immediately after? You're on their caution list btw

^ Yup, it is banned on ACC

I do hate it though when they do that, my friend did it and she couldn't figure out who actually won because on reddit it doesn't give exact time is was posted

I think it's okay when they link it so you know whether they actually bid on it but even then there's a way to fake it. The person can make another account on the other site as well to raise bids... They're just sly people (not the honest ones xD) and there's not really much that can be done since it's their choice :3 unless TBT put in a rule.

This is an interresting situation, and one I've not personally experienced. I can certainly understand the OP's frustration and I believe they have a valid point. The types of auctions that I am familiar with are public, private, and silent. The situation described by the OP seems like an unfair hybrid of the three.

I see a possible solution to resolve the problem. I propose the following rule:

"If a public auction is occuring on multiple sites, one site must be the designated host. All relavent bidding shall occur on that host site and no where else. Posts on the non host sites should link back to the host site and clearly indicating which site has all the public bids available for review."

The above proposed rule resolves all relevant interests. In the event a site doesn't permit linking to other sites, don't post there. They aren't an open community and are thus not worthy of your time anyway.

I don't like it either, just keep it to 1 site and not like:
oh higher bid on ACC
oh wait higher bid on facebook
