What is your first memory playing AC?

My first game was wild world, i remember I was at my friends house, she was playing her ds and animal crossing, which i had never seen before and she let me have a turn on it. it was so fun. then i begged my mom for my own ds and animal crossing so we could play together.
I think I remember a lot of trauma from resetti, my ds used to crash all the time and my english wasnt good yet so i didnt understand why he was screaming at me and it was terrifying
other than that, i had tangy, maple and kiki in my town and i loved them, they were so sweet

I remember being in 3rd or 4th grade when ACPG came out on Gamecube and I rented it from a local video store. I started playing it and loved being able to decorate my house. I played all night and finally when a villager (don't remember who) gave me a bed I decided I would stop playing for the night and continue in the morning. I spoke to my Gyroid outside my house to save (since that was the only way to save the game back then) and clicked "Save and Quit". I was then informed that my memory card didn't have enough space. I tried inserting my other memory cards, but none of them had enough room. I was mortified and just left the Gamecube on until I had to return the game a few days later. Eventually when I did buy the game it actually came with a memory card because of how much space the game took up.
I think my first memory is of Poncho in Wild World talking about his abs and me asking my parents what abs were 
I also remember feeling sad and confused when Portia moved out and vvv frustrated at Resetti's lectures whens my DS died from low battery ;-;

A friend of mine had it on the Game Cube and was nice enough to let me have a character in his town. I couldn't play so often because it wasn't my game cube etc but I remember just being so amazed by the game. It was so cool that you could run around and do whatever you felt like (open world) and that it was real-time blew my mind.

I remember playing with my best friend in wild world. I remember sending out random messages in the message in a bottom and getting weird ones back. I also remember I had Bella. I can’t remember any other villager, but I remember Bella.
Mine would be Wild World. I really don't know anything about Animal Crossing so it's my first entry to the series. I thought it's basically like the Sims, but with animals. I really didn't know what I was doing. So I had to restart (quit without saving) several times until I properly got the feel of the game. And because of that, Resetti became a memorable character for me. 
I only played it for a few weeks.

Mine was from the GameCube game. I had finished decorating my house and was really proud of it, so I made a bulletin board post inviting my villagers over on a specific time/day. I remember my disappointment when no one came over, haha.
My first encounter with animal crossing was with Wild World. I remember checking it out for a little while, disliking the way the villagers/character looked and especially hating the way the world scrolled. So I quit the game and never touched it again. I can't have been in-game for much more than 10 minutes.
Why I later decided to pick up New Leaf is still a mystery to me... But obviously I got used to the appearances.

I don't know if this is strictly my 'first' memory, but I have very strong memories of being at my friend's house when we were maybe 9 or 10? and trying to fish in city folk. and the same at my cousin's house! not sure which one came first

I remember starting AC: Population Growing just after it was released and I didn't know anything about the game.On the train ride with Rover he asks something like "Where are you headed?" and I gave the cheeky reply of "thataway" without realizing that my reply would be the name of my town.So,my Population Growing town was called Thataway.

sadly i didnt have an ac game until pocket camp due to never having any of the previous systems (besides the wii but i was too young to buy my own games at that point) i watched vinny vinesauce play new leaf and i dreamed about getting it
so when pocket camp came out i was over the moon lol, the first villager i grew a liking to was beau!! i thought he was a girl at first until new horizons somehow

New leaf was my first game and my first memory of that was the very first day that I played the game it was winter solstice and I could not figure out why my game was dark despite during daytime lol also, vivid memories about how annoyed I was when my first move-ins (fuchsia and Hans) decided to literally plot their houses only 2 spaces from mine (didn’t know about plot reset trick at the time) I also picked a map where there’s a very narrow beachside walkway so it made navigating around the area super difficult lol I think I ended up resetting my town out of rage

Playing it on the Game Cube and thinking how you could find & play select NES games on it was the neatest thing.
