• Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.

What vehicle do you think will be used in your entrance to the new town?

No need to get upset over a bumped thread.

As to Mary's question; a Trolley, or Tram, are generally used for shorter distances than trains. If you think of somewhere like San Francisco, they use trams a lot their in the public transport system.

We have some where I live as well. They typically only travel through the city, so like you said, they only travel for short distances.

Trains cause a ton of pollution, why do you want all that filling your AC air?
I think the trolley shows a much more clean air life. <3

Ignore the oil drill public works project. :p

Ahh alright. I suppose when you look at it like that it's a little nicer. >>; I didn't realize trains caused so much pollution.

I would never put a project like that in my town anyways! xD I don't want any super modern stuff like billboards or things like that in my town. The most I would probably put is something that a decorative light source. I want my town to look peaceful and more park-like!

Along with the solar panels I guess you could say this is a fairly eco-friendly animal crossing. Nobody say anything about the over fishing or bug catching though. ;)

I think they sell them to fish markets or something. You can get lots of money doing that in real life, but it tends to be a dangerous job.

I never understood the car and bus for WW and CF. Where would they come from after you arrived at the town? It was almost as if they appeared out of thin air. Unless they came down a waterfall and flew upward... That always struck me as odd...
At least with the train it made sense when it came to where it was coming from and where it was going. Just a straight line across the screen.
I hope they don't change that for this version. That's one thing I loved about the GC version when I was younger. That and the island. Brings back memories.

I always thought they'd come through the town gates. They looked big enough to at least let a car through.

Not all trains produce pollutants. It would make more sense for it to be a train instead of a trolley because a trolley can only go so far on electricity alone, that's why they're built for short term travel. But since this is AC and things aren't supposed to make sense, I'm not going to complain about it. lol
