New Leaf. I had never heard of the series until I saw YouTube videos on it when it first released and decided to borrow a copy from GameFly. I got my own copy a year later for my birthday and have stuck with the series since.
I started off with New Leaf. I remember it was pretty great and I want to go back to it sometime. It'll take me a while to readjust to the gameplay since I've gotten cozy with New Horizons already...
New Horizon’s was my introduction to the series. Got into it because someone on a discord server mentioned it and I wrote I should check it out and one thing led to another and I brought it and here I am. Lol.
Animal Crossing New Leaf was my introduction to the series. I never played an AC game but noticed how much anticipation ACNL was garnering. I watched some reviews and notable gaming YouTubers, such as Chuggaaconroy, play ACNL and purchased the game that very summer.
Animal Crossing New Leaf: Welcome amiibo was my first Animal Crossing game. It was so much fun, and I still love it to this day. My friend recommended it to me, and as soon as my semester of college was over, I went and got a copy. I've been hooked on Animal Crossing since!
Meanwhile the first release date was November 23 2005 for Japan. Then December 5 2005 and December 8 2005 for the US and Australia, respectively. So the EU get it almost 4 months after the first release date, lol. Aren't we glad it's not like that these days?
But anyhow, the game holds a special place in my heart and I associate the lighter moments of my childhood with it amongst a few other classics. I had a war against Pecan and Wart Jr! Pecan and I have called a truce because she kinda slays but I'm not even go there about Wart Jr and all the things that he did.
Wild World! I had a sleepover with all my friends for my 8th (I think?) birthday and two of them had the game for their DSes. They let me try it and I was obsessed. I asked my parents to take me to use my birthday money on the game as soon as everyone left the next day. It's been my favorite game series ever since!
