I just forgot to mention this.. lol
I got called to jury duty. IDK what this even means, I've never done this before. I don't have my drivers license, I have no way to get there, and I'm kind of unstable these days.. I wonder if there's any way I can get excused from it..? I'll have to call them Monday. It says in the letter if I'm mentally unable to, it would require a physician's excuse..?

I hope you don't mind a response, I was called for jury duty back in 2022-23 when I was struggling a lot with untreated bipolar, and I was able to get a note from my doctor saying that I wouldn't be able to do it. but it does need to be a valid excuse. hopefully you can get something figured out.

I recently got summoned too. (First time in my early 20's).

It's actually making me put off my driver's license test which was supposed to be in December.

I have an anxiety disorder and a history of panic attack hospitalization. Under medication I'm okay, but the unfamiliarity of court will still get to me.

And I hate having to put off other life stuff. I've been working towards my license for much of the year.

yesterday my mom and I had to rush up to the mountains to take my Grandpa to the hospital because he wasn't making any sense and he still isn't making sense. He's supposed to be in the hospital for a few days for observation, they haven't found what is wrong with him but are concerned. They do think it could be to his old age as to why he is so confused and can't answer questions about his health or anything important. We were able to get some stuff figured out and hope that it all falls in place because he can't live alone and he absolutely cannot live with us. It's a tough situation honestly.

The struggle is real right now.......I've been so drained trying to find an apartment to live. I'm on my 5tth Airbnb and about to find a 6th one. The longer this keeps up I will run out of money and be forced to live on the streets. I really REALLY don't want that to happened but these apartment requirments are screwing me over. My family is doing whatever they can to help me but all they can do is support me.

I’m very sorry to hear that. I don’t have too many friends right now either after moving out of state in the middle of my high school years. It still strikes me, 15 years later.

I was sick with it two months ago and finally recovered x-x never thought I’d be getting it because I’m fairly healthy but yah it was a rough 6 weeks

oh yikes, I'm glad you're feeling better now at least! ;; I caught it unfortunately and I'm not doing too bad right now, but my mom made me go see my doctor today, and she put me on a ten-day antibiotic! so hopefully I should be good to go by then

It’s been nearly a full week now since America has once again elected Donald Trump back into power. It’s quite shocking how so many people vote out of pure self-interest and perceived threats from foreigners, while also disregarding the rights of their own fellow citizens. It’s shocking how people are willing to put their faith in a convicted felon who has a bad habit of being untrue to his word and promises.

Blame can be placed on everyone who supported Trump, Joe Biden’s stubborn perseverance instead of dropping out earlier, Anti-Trump rhetoric from the Harris-Walz campaign emboldening Trump to people who idolize him as this strong, firm leader being unjustly attacked, but at the end of the day, America has spoken. She will get what she deserves.

Say goodbye to your rights, LGBTQ+ folk. Every single person who can get pregnant — you’re in even more danger of death from pregnancy. The USA has been a major target of mockery from other countries largely due to its education system; Trump plans to disband the Department of Education, relegating the system to the states — sure. You do that, Donald. Climate Change? Apparently not a real issue worth considering — bring on those nice fossil fuels! They'll keep the environment fresh and clean... somehow.
