what’s one thing from previous games are you hoping DOESN’T get added to new horizons?

I'd really dislike it if the stinging jellyfish were brought back. It was frustrating to just sit in the water and watch as they spawned and beelined toward you. I'm glad that it's easier to get wetsuits now, though. It was annoying waiting for the right design to show up in the island giftshop.

I'm also pretty glad we don't have to deal with PWPs anymore. Waiting for villagers to suggest them definitely slowed down my island's development.

Villagers randomly parking their homes wherever they want. I know it has no chance of happening, but imagine if it did. 🙃
Also random moveouts. Those always gave me a bit of anxiety.

Sanrio villagers.

theres just something about them that makes me want to throw my switch into the lake
if it were just their items, it would be fine. no biggie. but villagers? a bit overboard if you ask me.

i kinda don't get this, why would you want villagers to not come back in the game? it's not like you're forced to interact with them, as long as they don't live on your island it's like they aren't in the game anyway 🤔

personally i just don't want villagers leaving without asking and i also don't want club lol to be it's own building AND brewster's being it's own building. I don't have enough space and if i were to choose i'd pick the cafe!

Silver tools. They broke fast and served niche purposes that weren't worth the trouble. Also, I imagine you would have to craft them, making them even more tedious :p

Tortimer. I hope he's actually dead. Someone else can do island tours if they bring those back.

We already know he is coming back but....Pave. Good lord he's annoying. and trying to get him to give u the furniture you still need was pure torture. I never liked the gyroids either(except the one that takes donations for construction). brewster/cafe is also pointless.
I assume the Pave event in NH will be nowhere near as annoying as it was in NL based on how all of the special events in NH have been so far, but I will want to shoot Pave the first time he dances because of NL.

Grass wear (It's been SO liberating to be able to run around and not have to worry about grass deteriorating and making your town look ugly and it would be TRAGIC if that changed) and the jellyfish obstacles with diving (Getting some of those faster creatures is already a challenge in of itself, we don't need any extra obstacles).

Pretty much these:
- villagers randomly setting up their plots anywhere
- villagers moving out without notice
- grass wear
- flowers being completely destroyed when run over (wilting is fine though)

Everything else I'm fine with. I'm just waiting for those to return.

Random Moveouts for sure, especially since I don't play everyday and don't want to lose any of my favorite villagers. I quite like my current lineup of villagers too.

I also know this is unpopular, but I do not want Kapp'n to come back. He always made me uncomfortable and was annoying to me. I prefer the Dodos honestly.

YES, I completely agree. So much of Kapp'n's dialogue was just him acting like a creepy old man hitting on you. I hated it. Unfortunately, the second dock leads me to suspect he might make a return at some point.

As long as Kapp'n isn't still weird to the player I wouldn't mind him being in the game. If he is, he might end up with a completely different role, like how he went from a sailor to a taxi driver then back to a sailor between games. I can't really think of anything specific he could become, but it seems pretty likely to happen, because the whole point in NL was that he would take you to Tortimer's island but... the entire game already takes place on an island.

Also, knowing how much they've dumbed down the dialogue for villagers in NH, Kapp'n will definitely be less creepy if he gets added.

i always viewed Kapp'n's dialogue as innocent compliments and humor tbh, i mean he sang about his wife... a little sad to see most people being uncomfortable by him ; v ;

Since NL is my first ac game, i'm gonna base my response off of NL:

- The hefty mortgage in NL and multiple-step house expansions ( over 7M and you have to expand each room 2 times before the size is maximized)
- Gyroids. i know they are a AC game tradition but i don't collect them and don't really want to dig them up after each rainy day
- Random villager move-ins from other people's voids
- Grass wear ( i much prefer to use "the path" to create grass deterioration in desired spots)
- Random house placeholders. Gosh... the plot resets still give me flashbacks
