Flower-Loving Punk
In Debt to a Tanuki
Omg! Reading these out such a smile in my face !!! Itâs so wonderful seeing everyoneâs personal TBT kindness moments. I have not been on here long enough to have too many myself, but I think one of the nicest things someone has done for me IRL was when I had just gotten out of my chem lab at 10:30 Junior year of college. Not much was open aside from the on campus Starbucks. I was one of two people there aside from the Baristas.
The barista who took my order, a hot chai with pumpkin spice and a chocolate cake pop. He asked me what I was up to and I said I had just gotten out of my 3 hour chem lab. He asked me why I looked exhausted and I said because my %yield for my lab assignment hadnât been as high as I hoped which was frustrating as it brought my grade down. He said âoh that sucks!â And then grabbed me my pastry, and my drink. He handed it to me and there were 3!!! Cake pops in the bag.
I guess when you open a package thereâs more than one and since the store was gonna close in like 10 minutes and nobody else was there the only option was to throw them out?
I thanked him profusely but he was just like âhey, you need them, today sucked.â
He literally had no reason not to keep them for himself or his coworkers. It totally made my night, and I think about it often.
