Which villager started out as your least favourite then became your favourite?

Hi all I have a few villagers I adore now but I originally planned to let them leave when I started. It might be a silly question but I’m just curious if you guys have any, if so I’d like to hear the reason as well!

For example, mine is Diva, I thought I’d let her go but now she’s the best friend. I think the reason I got so attached to her is that I stay up late often when lots of villagers are asleep. I get to chat with her, and somehow she seems to know me so well

My villagers were already decided for New Horizons, and I already had pretty positive opinions on all of them. However, if I can mention an NPC, I’d say Blathers definitely grew on me. I really didn’t like him at first and thought he was rude for wanting fossils and stuff for his museum. However, he grew on me after noticing he’d always be awake in the middle of the night like a night owl! I’m a night owl, too, so I thought it was cool. Still, the museum isn’t high on my list of priorities, but I’m not against donating now.

the first villager that comes to mind is del. i forgot to save after an island hopping session, so the villager i invited (friga) never came and del (who came from somebody’s void) moved in instead. i’ve never hated del, but i’ve never cared for him (or the robot villagers in general) either. however, he grew on me pretty quickly after moving in. he was the first cranky i’d had in a long time, so his dialogue was refreshing and made me laugh. his design actually isn’t so bad either, and i liked his house interior. i didn’t like him enough to keep him permanently and let him leave after obtaining his photo, but i still really enjoyed having him and definitely like him a whole lot more now. he’s even inspired me to give more villagers that i don’t care for a chance. :’’)

When I started my island my two starter villagers were Agnes and Louie. I don't dislike any villagers, but I didn't really know anything about Agnes or Louie (I hadn't interacted with them before), so I didn't have much of an opinion on them. I really quickly came to love them though, and I couldn't think of island life without them!

I really like Happy Home Paradise as well because it gives me the opportunity to interact with a lot of villagers I haven't met before in NH! I haven't found a villager I dislike yet, so I don't think it's going to happen.

Oh, wow. It’s really rare to see someone with their two starting villagers as permanent residents. My starters were Goose and Cherry. I even ended up letting Cherry go because there were dog villagers that I preferred more, but she stayed a little bit. It’s really nice to see how Agnes grew on you!!

Diva is my favorite! I had her in New Leaf and I loved her from the start <3

But someone who I really didn't like at first was Judy. I didn't hate her, but had an affinity against her since she was extremely popular and I thought the hype was overrated. I got her on a random mystery island with the intention of giving her away (since she was so coveted that I felt like I couldn't say no), but in the mean time waiting for her to ask to move out I started really loving her! She became an essential part of my island and even though her design does not fit in with the vibes at all, I am willing to make an exception for her.
