Who are the best (and worst) horse villagers? 🐴

Im not that keen on the horses, but these are my picks:

BEST: Papi and Buck. Buck was my first ever villager (along with Muffy) in NH. Aside from this, he was also the first villager to give me his photo. Due to this, he is one of my favorite horses. Papi, on the other hand, looks cute and is based off an okapi, which is pretty cool. I like villagers that are based off other species, and the lazy personality is my favorite, but Papi fits both

WORST: Clyde and Peaches. Idk what on earth Clyde has been doing to get his eyes to look like that. The same eye problem persists for Peaches. Unlike other villagers with x eye patterns (Stitches and Cube), Peaches does NOT look cute in any way, and coupling with my least favorite color does not appeal to my tastes at all...

Julian is my favourite, blue is my favourite colour and the shade really suits him, plus I like the smug personality, though the main reason for liking him best is his design - he’s a lovely, elegant unicorn who seems like a really cool villager. I also really like Savannah for her interesting design and the fact she looks really sweet, so it seems like I prefer horse villagers when they’re not designed as an actual horse. My third and final vote went on Roscoe, who is my favourite actually horse looking villager, I really like cranky villagers and feel his design and character match the personality really well. Special mention to Reneigh, who has a very pretty design, especially for a sisterly villager.

There are a few horses that I don’t like - Victoria for having a default hat, Peaches and Cleo who both have very pretty colour schemes but odd looking eyes (I’m very picky about strange eyes on villagers and only really like Judy out of the villagers with them) but my least favourite is Clyde for two reasons - he’s another villager with peculiar eyes and his colour scheme is very bad, he just looks sickly green to me.

I voted Julian, Roscoe, Papi and Cleo as my favourites. Julian is my first favourite though. He's a unicorn, so that instantly puts him in first place. I also just really like his design and the fact that he's smug makes him 100 times better.
I have never had Roscoe, Papi or Cleo before, but I'm about to go island hopping for Papi, which I'm very excited to do. I think Papi looks the cutest out of all of the horses. He's also lazy which gives him bonus points, because that's my favourite personality.

Least favourite... Gonna have to go with Clyde. He has the ugliest colour on him, and he kind of freaks me out.
Also not really a fan of Colton, Buck and Victoria- They are all just bleh to me.

julian is the most beautiful horse and i've loved him since the day he randomly showed up in my NL town
i also really love colton, reneigh, cleo, ed, savannah & annalise

then the worst have got to be buck and victoria!
i hate the idea of horce races so i automatically hate victoria then i don't like buck's design

Roscoe.
He was one of my early move-in’s or starters in several towns. I’m partial to cranky and he’s got a cool demon horse vibe (red eyes black fur).

Honorable shoutout to Buck though.

Victoria would be the worst for me. She seems to have a racing type mask which I assume is a nod to the racing industry. Personally I don’t like it due to the harm and cruelty known in the industry for race horses. So it just makes me sad since it’s a reminder.

I actually really don't like horse villagers in general. I feel they are too awkwardly shaped and not appealing at all. I'd say my favorite horse is Reneigh as she has a very nice color scheme going on~ plus she's among the group of sisterly villagers that are the least ugly. Other honorable mentions are Julian for being based on the mythical creature the unicorn, Cleo for being a returning villager from ACPG, and Savannah because she is a zebra and I have a fondness for zebras.

I've developed a deep hatred for Clyde, Buck and Ed. They always appeared randomly in my ACCF town whenever I would restart and I just really found their designs so appalling. Still do.

i chose julian because he's my number one villager ever! i love the smug villagers and his house in new horizons is really beautiful too.

least favorite is probably ed just because he feels like an off-brand julian to me XD

I hadn't considered before what Jam86 and meo said about Victoria being kindof a sad reminder of an inhumane industry--personally I think of her more as a sporty type who wants to be the best, like a sports anime protagonist, but I can see how the racing attire would make people more familiar with that industry uncomfortable. She's still cute, I think, but maybe she could be less gimmicky in future games...

Anyways, I like Reneigh and Savannah the best, with Papi coming in a close third. I have Reneigh currently (traded for her here a while ago, thanks again LittleMissPanda!) and I'm very happy with her! I think her design looks really cool with the undercut hair and the pierced ears, and I like uchi types. She likes to do zoomies on the beach, and it's the cutest thing to see her racing around. I'm aiming to get Savannah too at some point, because I like her design and how unique it is, plus she seems like she would carry the normal personality well if that makes sense. I had Papi for a long time in my New Leaf town, and I grew to love him. I like that he's an okapi, and he's sweet, but for some reason his design seems a tad plain, idk.

As I look at all the horses, I can't say I dislike any of them...except for Peaches, because of the eye thing... Pretty solid designs as a species. I like 'em!

I love Reneigh, and she is the only horse villager I have had. Previously I thought maybe I did not like them, but they have grown on me.

i like annalisa a lot as well (she and Reneigh look like sisters), Roscoe, Elmer, Julian, and Winnie.

recently i also started to like ed. his picture quote plus emo look are funny to me

I don’t really like Victoria - she reminds me of the superhero villagers and I don’t like them.

but least favorite is Colton - I just really dislike his whole overall look and theme.

I picked Roscoe as my favorite. His dark coloring plus the cranky personality is a huge win for me. I've had him as a villager before and really loved him.

I really like a lot of the horse villagers, though. I currently have Colton and I'm quite fond of him. I also really think I would like Papi, Savannah, Reneigh, Annalise, and Cleo.

This is an unpopular opinion, but Julian really doesn't stand out to me. I don't dislike him, but he's somewhere in the middle of the pack for me, despite blue being my favorite color and unicorns being one of my favorite mythical creatures. I don't know why I feel that way but I do.

I voted for Julian, Savannah, and Roscoe as my favorites. I have Julian on my island now and he will never leave. He's the reason I didn't do an all-cat island. I love his unicorn design and space-themed house. My cousin's daughter who I used to babysit years ago loved unicorns so much and used to get them on Sims 3 all the time. So I guess Julian reminds me of her and that game. Good times.

Roscoe and his home are awesome. I had him on my last game and wish I still had room for him now. He may seem like a scary guy at first but he's really a softie and looked out for my villagers. I was sad when he moved out.

Savannah I moved in from my campsite on a whim to replace a (so-called) ugly villager on my last game. Her talk of books and poetry won me over, as I like those things myself in RL. Plus she's a zebra, a fairly unique design. I had her a long time.

Alas, I only had room for one horse this time so I picked Julian. If I had enough room, or a second island, I'd probably have the other two as well.

As for my least favorite horse I haven't thought much about it. Maybe Victoria or Clyde? Their designs don't appeal much to me.

Roscoe by far, Sterling and him were my next door neighbors in City Folk, my first AC game, when I was about...10 or so.

Roscoe was one of the original villagers, and his grumpy personality and his look felt similar to my dog in a way haha. In addition to all that, he was without a doubt my favorite villager as a child, he’s still living there as well, I think!

So many awesome horses, they are one of my favourite species in the game
I voted Annalise and Cleo as my ultimate faves. Annalise has lived in my New Leaf village since I got the game two years ago, and was my starter. Now I have her in New Horizons just love her! She's super pretty and love her pink mane and flower in her hair. Cleo has a really pretty pastel colouring and I love her eyes too, plus I am a big fan of her house interior and exterior! Very business like.

Least favourite, maybe Buck and Victoria? Just a bit bland.

I guess my least favorite would be Clyde. He is okay, but looks kind of odd.

Julian and Reneigh are my favorites by far out of them, with Colton not far behind. The others I don't care for or aren't memorable enough to remember.

My favorites are Julian, Winnie, Annalise, and Victoria. Winnie has the cutest star on her head.. I love her. And Annalise is nicer than Reneigh, imo.

Least favorite, Ed. He looks really odd.

I'm an Elmer stan from way back. I had him when I played on Gamecube, and had him show up again in my first ACNH file. Also his name is horrible and hilarious.
