Why do most people seem to dislike jocks?

'Kay so jock is like my favorite personality type, yet most people seem to hate them and go for the (IMO) very boring normal or peppy type instead. Why all the jock hate? They have the most interesting personalities and there are so many cool & cute ones!

How can ANYONE say no to BILL??
Please explain your delusions.

Roald set the expectations for jock villagers so unrealistically high that no one can even come close to compare to him.

I assume because jocks are stereotyped as the sporty/dumb guys who are jerks in school. And they talk about sporty things that the stereotypical gamer doesn't care about.

I hate sports and everything to do with them, but I do like Jocks. Heck, Quetzal and Boone are Jocks and they're probably two of the best villagers I've ever had in an animal crossing town!

Maybe people are sick of hearing about workouts or muscles everyday. I am.
But some jocks are cute like Kid Cat and Hamlet.

I personally love Rudy the jock cat. He definitely has some of the best dialogue in the game. I Just love how he calls me ladybro and when he is upset says "awe barbells"

I really like the jock villagers, I wasn't that big of a fan of them in WW until I got Roald. He was adorable and worked out, a penguin that works out, awesome. But then in NL I got Snake, he was a bunny, a ninja, and called me ladybro. Now I love jocks, they made them way cuter in NL.

They used to be my second fav personality (after lazy of course) back in GC days when they were also the forgetful ones. They had some random stories back then. Now they literally just talk about workouts and the usual stuff, it's a little tiresome. Which is sad as there are some good villagers that are jocks.

That said, Roald moved into my town today so by the end of tomorrow I shall know every conversation you can have with a jock by heart.

I love jock villagers. Rod always talks about football and I really like football. And I always chuckle when he talks about his (nonexistent) muscles.

OMG Bill looks very cute in the picture. He and Kid Cat are my favorite jocks.

Glad to see I was wrong & that so many people seem to like jocks afterall. As for those who are complaining that all they do is talk about their muscles, well, most do... but most are also cute lil animals! It's just laughable to see someone like Bill or Hamlet go on about their biceps.

Cranky is definitely my second favorite too : D So much more personality. I think Uchi, Normal & Peppy have the least.

Leonardo is one of my favorite villagers! I don't feel they are too pushy with the exercise talk. I always send him whatever gym equipment I come across lol. He also calls me his ladybro.
