I know that the new AC game is focusing primarily on the decorating of homes, but what about the other traditional aspects of animal crossing? Will it still have things such as fishing, bug catching, running errands for people in your town, etc? And also, I don't fully understand the whole Amiibo thing; what are those?

If someone could quickly, but efficiently, explain to me the changes and what I need these "Amiibo" things for, that would be extremely helpful :)

It's a spinoff, which means the gameplay is very different from the main games. There will be no fishing, bug catching etc. You don't need amiibo cards, but if you do they allow you to decorate houses for this villagers immediately as well as inviting them to other villager's houses to hang out. Also amiibo cards are the only way to get NPC characters. But to use the amiibo cards, you either need to buy the NFC adaptor or a new 3ds xl.

So the whole gameplay is based around the idea of decorating homes? Im not sure if I would care for that, although decorating is fun I just dont think it would be worth it to purchase a whole game for that sole purpose..

But are you decorating your villagers' houses as well? And these cards allow certain NPC's, which would otherwise be impossible to obtain, to move in?

sorry im asking all these questions, I just really dont grasp the concept of either the new game nor the amiibo cards.

I'm not really sure what you're asking, but I suggest you watch the youtube videos and demonstrations of the game as well as doing you're own research in order to understand exactly what you're confused about

This is very different to the normal AC games. You don't have a town map, and you don't have a set limit of ten or so villagers. From my knowledge, each individual villager lives on a different map. The whole purpose of the map is to find a setting for your villagers house. The rest of it doesn't really matter. But your villagers houses themselves are kept, and can be redecorated. Sorry if that was badly worded, but I hope it answered your question(s)!
