I'm not, unfortunately I've never actually been there, I just managed to pull in a good amount of research through the wording in your riddle. Is it full of snakes??

Lol ... This part of the Canyon is known as "The Snakepit" because of the twists and turns. Its scary because the highway on one side is massive rock walls and the other hangs over sheer drop off to the raging Fraser river! It is not a comfortable thing to encounter a semi coming at you on one of these sharp corners!

I guess that name meaning makes a little more sense than what I said x) Oyyy, I can only imagine.. I get nervous when a semi is near me on the road regardless, let alone near a steep cliff into a river. You're a braver soul than I. Sounds like the entire canyon was quite the experience though
