I don't really have a problem with them being rude. I would prefer more personality with all the characters, after playing new leaf for years I started to not even want to talk to my villagers regularly because I had already had that conversation fifty times. I would love to have something other than a mildly sassy remark or two.
I'm all for it, I really find myself going back to the old games sometimes because they are more direct and have more personality than sucking up to the mayor or being overly nice. Although I love the old games, I love the modern look of the newer games and there's more to do so to bring that aspect of the old games while the game being modern is the best of both worlds. Here's to hoping they'll do this for the switch. Either way I'll buy it but it'd be so much better.
I sometimes wonder why people like getting trashed by their villagers.
Personally I would like it as it would allow one to feel a friendship growing between villagers more. Maybe have villagers say snarky things early in a friendship often and then cut it out more to be of significantly less occurrence when you grow deeper with them.
I think they should keep the cranky personality and make a new "bully" personality. They would constantly harrass you and call you names. Maybe even sometimes when they have a net, they will smack you with it.
Definitely not as rude as in the original game, but yeah I think them being a little more critical or whatever would help keep things from seeming so stale
I'd like to see it a bit, especially with the grumpy and snooty villagers. However, in ACPG every villager was so mean! I think some should stay really sweet and kind with some meanies (and those meanies should probably dial it back from GC era...)
I would love if they went back to their original rude ways. I remember having Chow in my WW town and how I felt a sense of accomplishment when he finally started being nice to me, lol.
I want crankies and snooties to be ruder definitely! But what I mostly want is more variety in their conversations so they're not just constantly repeating the same thing over and over.
