I've gotta say no because I would hate seeing everyone I love around me die, and I'm too awkward and would be too scared of watching them also die to bother getting attached to anybody else. I also wouldn't want to continue if I age like a normal human and have my health slowly declining to the point where I wouldn't be able to do much a bit past year 100, but I'm still in my awkward teen years and would hate to stop aging right now. Plus I feel like I would get experimented on if I lived that long and stopped aging at a certain point.

Could you even imagine what you would look like at the age of 150?

Why not? If you get bored with life, you can always kill yourself after 150 years or so.

I suppose that's not a bad idea if you were found in such a position. What if you were unable to die until the 200 mark? You'd be screwed!

Absolutely. I'd spend the time travelling, researching, and working on creative projects. I doubt one lifetime is really enough to do and learn about everything I'd ever like to.

Ditto! I did initially read this as ".. spend the time time travelling.." though, and was momentarily stumped until I realised that all bets were already off at living til 200+ so time travel fits right in.

:D

Nah, only been alive for 23 years and I'm already done.

No. I'd want to pass on peacefully at a reasonable age.

@Nicole

I don't want to live for up to 200 years. The negative things such as post-apocalypse could happen, nuclear war, I just have a bad impression of the future.

Another 200 years of this miserable existance? Don't make me laugh.

i'd go for it. i'd probably go for 300 years too.

hot?

Exactly my point, thank you!

Don't we all? Not with what we're at right now...

but
records we're recently discovered of a chinese guy who lived the be 256 years old. He just led a really healthy and stress free life.

No, I hate this planet and I cant wait until I die, its miserable and we destroy everything.

The sooner humans are gone, the sooner Earth will be good again.

Hell no. My life expectancy, according to a quiz I took online that asked questions about my health habits, said my life expectancy was 93 years-few people live longer than that (that's how old Former President Ronald Reagan was when he died in 2004) and I think that's definitely long enough.

But what if family accepted to be able to live up to 200 years? Would you possibly do it then?

Well, what about friends? They aren't family. And then their friends and family will die around them if they're allowed to live. Also, if you fall in love, get a boyfriend or girlfriend and get married, they aren't technically your family. They would die too, that would be heart-wrenching, wouldn't it?

.... no offence but ppl generally count the ppl theyre married to as part of ur family ..

and you will most likely lose people close to u if you live a normally long life. like, i assume that if you live for a very long time you need to make new friends when your old ones start dying idek.
like ye it's sad but also not something you can easily avoid in a life of 70-90 years either. have children. have grandchildren. idk but it's possible to not b a complete loner when u r 140 and being like Damn All My Friends r Ded

Why not, considering that one's mind can only remember up to so much, by the time I got being 200 years old, I would have forgotten about my family and friends that have long since past. It'd also be fun to have the "Old Person Excuse", blaming all of my action on being old.

Well, its sorta like immortality. Kawaii Cupcakes actually has a point. Seeing as how you won't be around every family members, old friends, cousins, etc you'd be all lonely and still having an aching body.

I'm gonna say no on this one. Why can't it be for all?
