@Tina so now you're not ever voting your main sus? hmm... ya that read on Cory was a def reach and now that you see its not ok with us you have to back pedal and go along with someone most of us is sus of?
That's a big assumption. I chose not to vote for him right now because after he replied to the thing that made me most certain on him, and I weighed his response with what I know about him as a player and a person (I've been playing mafia with
Cory over two years), I considered his response plausible.
I disagree about it being 'a reach'. And having seen Tom's post here...
Ya know I actually went back and viewed my wincons, it never mentioned anything about killer third parties. I'm assuming that's someone I could potentially win with then, but I think it's relevant information right now. And correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Cory mentioned playing Xenoblade before?
... I'm actually more confident about my initial read because he said he wasn't informed about killer third parties. Why did I bring up the point in the first place? Because I'm town and my own PM tells me that there are killer third parties. So it struck me as weird that
Cory seemed to think this was new information which he explicitly stated was based off of reading
Crys' PM. So if
Cory were town, he'd know this too. Had anyone besides
Cory said they didn't actually
read their PM, I wouldn't have believed them. But it's
Cory. And, even so, my deduction was actually correct. A person who was town and knew their win con would not have made a comment like that. And
Cory admitted he never read the win con.
Whether or not you and others are "ok" with my opinion is irrelevant to me. If I believe in something I'll push it. And if I get lynched for it other than it being hilarious for me as it'll be my first time ever being lynched as town, then at least you guys will have my opinions to refer back to later and do with them what you want.
As for why I voted
Ashtot, honestly I didn't even care to look at others opinions first. I realised I wouldn't be online and I forgot day was 48 hours instead of 24 so I weighed the people I found suspicious -
Cory,
Ashtot,
Xerolin, and
Caddberry. Of these Ashtot was the person I was most certain of, since
Cory had already responded to my biggest concern regarding him and I felt that his answer was genuine.
That flip flop makes me scream. Tina, why did you immediately back off of Cory and sheep the bandwagon?
See above. I backed off of
Cory because he gave me a reason to my biggest concern that I saw as being plausible. So I voted the next person on my list because I thought I wouldn't be around for the vote. I thought we were on a 24/24 cycle not 48/24. Prob cos I joined three-quarters of the way through D1.
She went to go ban people to relieve the pressure
I'm not really feeling pressured. What I see happening is a couple people with legitimate questions, and the rest of you hopping on the bandwagon because a stronger player said something. Although I also feel people are being misled's by
Ashtot's completely outdated summary of my play style. I haven't gone hardcore in a game since Bird Mafia II in August 2014, where I was action-immune and knew I could go as hard as I liked and never die. And how did I single out the one-man team mafia player in that game? By catching out an inconsistency in their post that a genuine town player wouldn't have said.
Ness Tina- did anyone else notice her reads were almost entirely sus reads? refer back to when tom and i were going at it. scum reading almost half the playerlist is never a good sign.
I only had four scum reads:
Ashtot,
Cory,
Xerolin, and
Caddberry. Everyone else I was either still in the middle on and needed to re-read their posts, or I was town-leaning on them. I had an equal number of town and scum reads - four of each.
@Tom you town read Tina when she scum reads Cory for pointing out something obvious and then back pedals and votes Ashtot ?
There is far more to it than you've said here, which I've already outlined above.
And it worked. While I think it's always important to read your PM in detail regardless of role, I can so see you doing this lol.
Am I reading this wrong orrrr??
Tbh I would prefer an inkling lynch today, and Tina tomorrow.
I believe you are. Someone (
Xine?) asked
Cory why he role claimed. He explained why, and I explained that yes his role claim is actually the reason I didn't feel I had to push the case any further. Because I can actually believe that
Cory would see the word "townie" and then not even bother to read the rest or even check his win con. Which IMO is ridiculous but I can see
Cory doing that simply just from how long I've known him and been playing this game with him.
