i don't have a lot of time, so i decided to recreate the firework paper from new leaf since it's one of my favorite stationary designs and because august is firework month in-game!

I poured my heart and soul into this one. I designed the background as if Celeste were the one making it. I also used some of her sayings or parts of her sayings in the wording. Beware as I’m putting the process pics and reference pics in spoilers. It will be VERY image heavy.

I could NOT come up with an idea to save my life. Alas, here it is.

I decided to do Chrissy and Francine, giving each other birthday balloons fitting of them - gems! I made the gems extra shiny, because they weren’t nearly shiny enough for these two! The text is an ambigram, meaning it can be read right side up, or upside down. The “right” side up is the side with Francine upright. To read it “upside down”, you would start with the bottom word of each section. Because ambigrams are typically one word, it was EXTREMELY hard to find words that would fit this task, and still make sense to read. Chrissy and Francine are really special to me, because my step-mom’s name was Chrissi, and she had an identical twin. I have them together on my second island.

It says:
Center - Happy Birthday
Francine’s section - When: Now
Chrissy’s section - Where: TBT

I used the Gem postcard from ACNH, and the Amiibos for Chrissy and Francine as inspiration.

lol I WAS!!! But once I started the background, I ended up putting WAY more time than I originally had planned with so much more detail, that I just didn’t want to cover it up!! ALL of those stars are individually done with 3 dif gel pens except the bigger ones which were painted.
