ABD and storage shed - do you think we can access these on other islands?

I'm so very excited about the addition of these 2 things coming in 2.0. If they are anything like NL, the storage shed would be better than the lockers in NL and the ABD would work on any island so you can deposit or take out bells at will.

That would make trading a whole lot easier (for things other than turnips).

Or would that make ACNH life too easy for us? And are these items we can purchase from Nook's, craft via DIY or do we get them from Tom in Residenct services? Can we get multiples? That would so nice! We probably won't know until Nov 5th but I can't stop speculating. What do you guys think?

I want to look for these right after I upgrade my storage.

I hope so. It could be done in NL so its def possible. Having universal storage and bell access would solve so many turnip trading problems.

I doubt it... I think it will be a main island thing only. And I would get you just get one of each.

i think we can use the ABD on other islands too, that would make a lot of sense.
dont think so about the storage tho. the only thing im basing this off of is that you cant use closets on other islands to change your clothes so i think it will also say that this isnt your storage shed.

meh, i'd rather not have the storage shed work on other islands, personally. it doesn't make as much sense as the NL lockers -- the shed clearly isn't yours, so why would it provide access to your storage? the lockers, by comparison, were located within a "public" place and made sense.

the ABD though? yeah, should've been from the start. can't tell you the amount of times i've had to borrow bells from my sister or girlfriend to buy one of nook's super overpriced furniture pieces.

I certainly hope it’ll be universal since it’ll make trips to other people’s island much more easier when doing my shop instead of flying back and forth repeatedly.

I have my doubts. Nintendo servers are peer-to-peer, so accessing certain information would be incredibly difficult to handle for the servers.

I don't want this though. At the moment, I only see the need for 1 storage item for me, but I want the flexibility to have multiples if I want. I hope it isn't limited.

I certainly hope so. It would be nice to use the ABD machine on other islands for trading purposes, especially since you could in previous games.

I kind of doubt the storage shed can be used on other islands, but it would be a nice addition if you could!

It would be nice, but I doubt it will be universal storage. One thing that I also hope, but similarly doubt, is being able to access your own money from other people's islands. Out of the two of them the ABO seems most likely, but part of me still doubts it 'cause Ninty. We can't have a gorgeous patch without a bit of clunk at least, am I right?

If I remember correctly, "other island" as Harv's Island will provide us storage, which will be be Tortimer. As we've seen od Nintendo Direct we won't be able to build anything, except pay for gyroids and setup NPC trailers.
If we are talking about new DLC - our currency (bells) will not be accepted in those archipelago, so there's no pint for any ATM. Storage access is not an option as we will have access to everything we will need, and if we want to buy something - we can only use "new currrency".

god, i hope so. i haven’t done many large trades that would take more than one trip to complete because it’s just so tedious, but this would make everything so much easier! i imagine these two additions are a huge relief to everyone on here who runs an acnh shop as well — i can only imagine how tiring large orders must be for them at times.

i’m not sure how exactly it’ll work, but maybe they’ll be like the bridges/inclines and you have to talk to tom nook to get them built? that way they’d be optional, in case there’s anyone who doesn’t want them. :’)

I doubt it would work on another island as people would most likely try and find glitches to cheat the system which would then ruin it for everyone.

@xara as an ACNH shopkeeper, YES, yes I cannot agree with you more honestly withdrawing funds from another island's ABD should have been a thing right from the start. Why disable such a handy feature idk what Nintendo was thinking...... It's my main gripe with this game. It would sure make IGB and item/catalog trades much faster. It would be convenient not just for me or other shopkeepers, but for everyone as a whole. I'm all for more QoL improvements (bulk crafting when Nintendo?)
