It is most certainly a fact they are returning, but I am hoping they are difficult to obtain this time around.


A previous thread did make note that glowing/golden spots were returning, so perhaps the Golden Shovel method from Population Growing will be making a return, likely making it one of our first Golden Tool, if this method should return. A nice throwback, I'd say.

But the rest of them? I truly hope they take some serious effort to get!

I have always found the golden tools pretty challenging to obtain; I have only ever managed to get the golden axe.

How could they be made more difficult to obtain in your view? What would you like to see?

More involved steps in unlocking them, with some actual difficulty to them. Buying x number of items isn't difficult, just annoying because of how time-gated it is.

Took me ages to find all the golden tools in new leaf, they're only easy to get because you have the internet ! XD

obtaining the gold tools naturally was pretty hard for me tbh lol

Since crafting is now a thing, it’d make sense if we just needed gold nuggets along with the other stuff to make a golden tool. But maybe they’d want to make them more exclusive?

The golden rod and net don't need to be harder to obtain. I mean, you have to catch every bug and fish to get them, and anything beyond that wouldn't make sense.

The golden watering can you get when your town/island has been perfect for X amount of time, and that's reasonable.

The slingshot is easy, but I don't think these things should be tougher to get for no real reason.

The game itself will take so much time just to unlock basic tools to start landscaping.
