What a wonderful idea.
My Tips:

~Play more tours and you get better ones
~From April 1st to an unknown date (somewhere before April 9th..) you get pink regular trees
~Paths make your town look better IMO.

I just recently found out that if you plant a 1k bell bag with a golden shovel it will grow to be a regular sapling. Which is really useful for the cherry blossom season <3

This is what I do to make sapling trees, just costs more.

If your playing Hide and Seek with your villagers and have palm trees, they can hide behind them too. And if you have a secret beach (A beach which can only be accessible by wet-suit) with palm trees in it, they can hide in it too. So if you have any of those things, make sure you check the beach and have a wet-suit. Otherwise you'll lose.

I've shared these two before but I find them interesting enough to share again. They are new-ish things I learned recently haha.

1. If you have the throwing beans and toss them on villagers or other characters their eyes will grow big like they're shocked lol.
2. And if you have dandelion puffs and you blow them in an open space, there's a good chance that a new dandelion will appear in that area the very next day! :)

Things i have found out:

1. There are hidden photo filters for the photo booth: Press the L button for a black and white picture and the R button for a sepia tone photo.

2. You can jump in puddles when it rains, though i have no idea how but i have seen people do it :D

edit:

3. I'm so dumb lol but I found when making patterns you can zoom in on certain areas and because of this feature, I have become very good at pattern making. This was something I thought I could never do XD

If you don't have enough room for paths, you can always make walkways using bushes. I'm actually working on taking out the entire path system of my town out and replacing it with bushes. Be careful, though! You can only plant so many bushes together before they start to wilt. Space them out with your favorite flowers to get around this issue.

Orchards are really nice to have in your town, too. Try to get at least three trees of every fruit. Not only will it look nice, but you can always give your extra fruit to new players who visit your town. Don't forget to plant some perfect fruit trees to swap baskets with friends, too!

You can dive from your pier. Just walk to the very end while wearing the wet suit and then dive as you normally would.

If you stand near shells on your beach for a bit, you'll get that thought bubble with the item's name, telling you which shell it is. This is useful when you're trying to find giant clams only (for music boxes) or just the ones that are worth more.

Some bugs and fish have different containers when displayed. Goldfish have bowls and crickets have little cages.

This is so awesome, I need to try it!

How do you that? I've never noticed it (or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're talking about).

I have a quick tip :)

if you know Villager A is moving out but no matter what she doesnt pin you, all you have to do is talk to her until she tells you to give her some space, then save and quit, tt forward an hour, walk in front of her, and she will 100% pin you :) this is good esp if it's a villager you hardly talk to. :)

for people as clueless as i was about moving villagers:

when a villager tells you their moving and you want them to, stay away from them at all costs.
dont be me okay. dont decide to chat with them so they'll remind you how many days til they'll be moving. dont do it. especially when you already found your dreamie that will come in after they leave. bc they'll be stubborn and may just be like "u kno what, i gotta get to know you better mayor caylen! im staying after all!" i had no idea they can change their mind after previously saying they were leaving ;^;

(me being upset bc i was suppose to get marina tomorrow but carmen decided to ruin my life)

It's kinda hard to explain so i'll get a picture:

What is circled in red is what I'm talking about, you press it and it zooms in and out, making it easy to make patterns. I am that dumb I have played animal crossing since I was 6 and only found out you could do this yesterday XD

If you're tired of animals selling their belongings and messing up their houses, put a load of fruits or coffee beans up for sale at Re-tail. Multiply the normal price times 4 and subtract 1; that's the maximum price a villager will pay for an item. The fruit or beans don't replace furniture when they buy them, and if you're doing alright on bells, then just don't let them buy at all.

Oh yeah, also, to go along with the first tip, when you get the cafe, make sure you get the highest quality beans every time. Sell it at Re-tail for 7,999 bells. Your villagers will think it's a great deal and nothing will change in their houses!

You don't have to do all of this. Talking to the villager a few times and saving and quitting, then reloading the game, is usually enough. You don't have to time travel (unless you're having trouble getting that villager to rotate between being in their house and outside, and they seem to be stuck in the museum or something forever) and you don't have to talk to them until they're sick of you. I never do, I just talk to them like half a dozen times and it's enough.

Thanks! I see what you're talking about now, somehow I thought you were talking about a hidden feature to zoom on patterns even more.

Bamboo shoots will spread in a 5x5 square with the parent bamboo being in the center tile. Little tip for those who want to keep them under control. :)

What? Those filters are hidden? I've known about them since day 1. .-.
